2012

Caught 2012 today with my family! Been a while since I caught a show with them. Headed to J8, had lunch there and then the movie.

Thought it was pretty decent. Although I caught a flu in the cinema. Anyway, I thought the special effects were really cool, just that at times it was abit too dramatic? It kinda felt like they added the special effects just for the sake of adding them and wowing the audience. Not much purpose with too many quake lines, thousands of fireballs and mountains of smoke.

What I really liked about the movie was the feelings portrayed. Perhaps the actors were really good at their roles such that I could kinda feel what they felt. The nagging feeling of conscience, hope, and family. The conscience didn't stick out that much. But somehow I felt during the movie, this sense of needing to cherish what's around you.

At that point, it just felt rather fragile. Kinda reminded me how fragile life is and how things might just turn so different given a short space of time. How I can lose an opportunity how I can lose something this easily give circumstances. How I can lose people around me that fast, that easily by one event or another. Felt pretty much that way after watching 2012, what gives? I don't know.

But all in all, the movie kinda told me that. And trust me, I'm gonna cherish everything that I have. Hold on to everything and not regret what I do.

Ramble ramble ramble.

Watched this movie trailer called Leap Years, found it pretty interesting! Maybe I'll go catch it when it comes out?

Which movie tells the right stories?

Laces

You know I think my turf shoes are kinda boring. I wanna change the laces. WHAT COLOUR?!

Blog blog blog.

Holidays are bloody fast. It's the first of december already! I see the shit load of work on my desk. I'm trying to forget all about it and take a breather first!

Last month of 2009! Wow. Okay shit, I should really stop making it seem this fast.

Anyway, has been a rather busy week! I think today will be the only day I can be as relaxed as now. Woke up close to 12 today, felt like some pig. Went around on facebook, internet, blah blah. Oh and I caught some hockey matches on TV. Really rare, and very interesting stuff going on! =) So yeah, pretty much bummed around for the whole of today!

Gonna have training at NYP on Wed, then some cage soccer match with the hockey team on thurs and training on friday at the extremely remote hockey village. Gonna die going there!
ily.
Okay besides all those I'm really bored! Oh I got pretty much bored of Ion. I mean walking around there. Gonna go again sometime though =)

And bros, especially you Lum and MC! You know that I told everything to you guys already! I swear this time, I came clean. EVERYTHING. I could tell you all those face to face, so I'd tell you guys anything and everything that happens from now on. And thanks a lot for all the advice and stuff! We're gonna go out one more time before MC flies off!

Cold.

The previous post bored the shit out of me. Hopefully this post won't.

Anyway, had training on Friday. Met up with Weijie at Serangoon at 4.20? Yeah around there? Had my new earphones on. I hate to change songs when you have 2 shoebags, a hockey stick, wallet and a bag. Looked like some retard. Took the train to Sengkang, changed to LRT before going off to the pitch.

Had macs there for a while. I didn't eat anything though.

When we reached the pitch, it was raining. Okay fine, it was already raining for a large portion of the day. Thought the rain would make playing more enjoyable. Didn't. Instead made it worse. Elaborate later on.

Sengkang sec and VS were playing. Okay shit they were really good. As in, we don't play close to that standard. We just play the way we want. But they seemed to have some decent gameplan.

Warm-ed up. Met the new coach, called Sam. I don't know how to feel about him. He seems like a nice guy, but he treats us like we play hockey for the first time. Did the drills, had alot of 2on1 situations. Decent stuff.

OKAY. BUT! I thought playing in the evening at Sengkang would be great. It felt opposite. I thought playing under the floodlights would be great. However, before we even started, there was this slightly heavy rain. The pitch got really really wet. My shirt and shorts were drenched. So was my stick. Felt really uncomfortable AND COLD. I WAS FREEZING MY BUTT OFF. With the wind and all, made it worse. Then the floodlights came on. Hot and cold at the same time, I was really sure I was gonna fall sick.

Didn't have a great game. I'm gonna improve the next time. With better weather.

Off to the showers later on. We got rushed cause they wanted to lock the place up. Just rushed through and yeah done. Then off to macs for dinner. Then off to home! YUP

Had resilience workshop and some emotional awareness thing the past 2 days. I really felt the talks today were pretty interesting and much more relevant than the resilience nonsense the previous day. Rather interesting, guess i knew slightly more about myself. Seriously.

I'm still aching from training. Wonder how I'm gonna survive tomorrow. Gonna sleep much much earlier today.

ARGH. I still think the posts are damn boring. Fine. We'll see what other crap I can post.

Orchard. Somerset. Dhoby Ghaut.

It has been ages since i blogged I know. It was way before promos, so promos can't be any decent excuse can they?

Oh well, I'm really glad everything is over now. Promos, chinese, OP, PW. I swear, they were gonna kill me.

The fear of retaining or having a re-paper to take. Which means that I'd burn my holidays. Chinese... I just didn't wanna screw chinese up again, sorta for pride I guess. OP and WR really sucked the shit out of me. I remember staying up really late just to look through WR. Reading through the stuff and having millions of different editions. Abit crazy. And printing for that really kicked ass too. Finding a decent printer sucks.

Okay. Enough of complaining, it's all over, I'm not going back there again.

Moving on!

After everything ended, I really wanted to go out and I guess I did. With loads of people.

Went out with Lum yesterday, just to get headphones. Crazy trouble.

So it was a fine day, I was filing all my post-promos worksheets, and what not into my file. Had my com turned on and woke up pretty late yesterday. Kinda arranged to go out with Lum yesterday already, so yeah, he said, we'll meet at '4-ish' at bishan.

3.45 was it? Lum told me that he was gonna leave home, so I left. Walked to bishan MRT sweating like mad. Weather's pretty hot. Anyway, we took the MRT down to Orchard. Went into Ion's epicentre. My my, ion looks really really great. Alot of space for a shopping centre, huge place and really great stalls there! I wanna go there again sometime soon =)

So we went to Epicentre. Kept making noise about Apple's stuff being overpriced, which is undoubtedly true. Tried the headphones there, wow headphones are really great. I love headphones' ambience. Makes you feel like you're in a concert hall. Tried out the Bose. But abit too pricey. 300 odd? But the Audio Technicas were great!

I mean the SQ5 that is! Which are the 3 up here. Really nice sound and decent looking too! Was listening to Waiting on the World to Change, really worth the 128dollar price tag. But we figured, abit hard to manage and keep, so yeah forget it.

Moving on! We went to Epicentre at Wheelock place? Yeah, same items, tried out the same headphones, same conclusion. Great. OH and I saw the newly updated Macbook, highly tempting. Really tempting. Note, second Apple store.

Then where did we go? OH! Went to Taka, got some food at Old Chang Kee, yup.

Next we headed to Somerset's Orchard Central. Really sick of typing this. But saw the same stuff for the 3rd time. Getting sick of not having cash. Orchard central was really awesome though! I wanna go there again sometime! I like the glass elevators, rather cool! I mean you can look up too! Better than NLB's. And Lum highlighted why they can't have glass bases =p.

Walked to Plaza Sing from Somerset. Brought back some memories =)) Ended up at Plaza Sing. Found this really great shop! The headphones were cheap compared to other places. Well, some. Some. Some were abit more expensive. I tried out the Modas, thought they were good but felt they were trashy, too much bass. Then we decided. Hey let's forget about Headphones, it's gonna be in ears cause they are easier to keep. SO we tried this pair of sennheisers. I thought, not bad! THEN came this pair.
The audio technicas. WOW they were really good and worth the money! Fullstop. Settled. BUT some prick had to reconsider. NOW we're going back again some day. Tomorrow hopefully?

OKAY I THINK THIS POST IS DAMN BORING. GONNA BLOG AGAIN SOMETIME SOON!

Fast fast.

Its June. Okay, almost the end of June. Thats half of my first J1 year gone. Not bad not bad. Pretty fast. Orientation + Lectures + Tutorials. Time flies. One quarter of the pact has expired - three quarters more. Unexpectedly fast.

Okay. I don't know what else to blog about. Not yet.

If only CHMA could be held outdoors.
