I have awesome news to tell you today :)

Hi everyone:

How is everyone today - hopefully well.  I have been wanting to give you guys some great news for a while now, but am finally able to put it out there.  Here goes :)  I am a new design team member for the Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog :)  How fabulous is that?  I say fabulous :)  It is going to be so wonderful to work with these amazing ladies over the next six months and know this is going to be so much fun.

I have to be honest and say that when I received the email from Lesley a few weeks back, I just sat at the computer for an hour going, is this for real and am still walking on air that yes, it sure is.  Please head over to the Dynamic Duos challenge blog, take a peak at the other great girls on the new design team and help me welcome them.  Girls, I am really looking forward to working with you all and want to thank Lesley and Anne Marie for this wonderful opportunity.  It is going to be a wonderful ride :)

Hey everyone:

Today I am showing you a layout from our trip to Mt. Vernon last year (I love that place) and when Charlie, over at The Hen's Den, sent me this wonderful Graphic 45 Secret Garden kit, knew I just had to use the flower photos I took while we were there.  They worked so well together.

I love this embellishment of the little girl - it reminds me of our daughter, Elizabeth, when she was younger and would pick wildflowers for me and her grandmother - oh, those were the days.

As some of you may know, I love, love, love DC and would go back every weekend if I could, but we are 8 hours away and I still haven't convinced Jim to take me this often, but I'm still working on him :)  Mt. Vernon is a wonderful place to visit because it allows you to get an idea of how life was back when George Washington and his wife Martha were living.  I am a very huge history buff, so all this is right up my alley :)  I really thought this layout turned out pretty and it was the first time I have created a layout without people in it :)

Good Thursday everyone :)  One more day to the weekend and I know you must be happy about that.  We are anticipating good weather, but we are going to the South Carolina Philharmonic symphony this Saturday with Patrick so I am looking forward to that.

Today I am showing you a card using Graphic 45 Secret Garden collection.  When I opened up this package Charlie sent me, I was so excited because just look at those spring colors.  I'm sure I am like a lot of you in that I am hoping spring is here to stay.  The temperatures have been so nice. I have been sick these past few weeks, so I didn't get the layout I had in mind using this completed, but there is always next week, but needed a card for a friend who has been going through a real hard time and I just wanted to let her know that I am thinking of her and that my thoughts are with her.
