Finally

I am finally getting a new upload posted tonight :) What a crazy month and it appears there is no stopping in sight; however, I was more than determined to post something and to say hello. I made this card a while back for my boss who was serving in Iraq (he came home in November safe and sound - we are very thankful for that). As with some of you, doing a masculine card is difficult, but I thought this one was somewhat manly.

I would describe what materials were used, but I can't remember what they were. I promise to get better at writing things down when I make cards so I can inform you of this information when I post - hey, I'm still learning :) and having a blast doing so. Well, I'm off to visit other blogs and saying hello. Talk to you soon and TFL (thanks for looking - for Elaine).

Hi everyone

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas - we went to NC over the holidays and had the best time. It was wonderful to see my family and spend time with them. I don't have anything to post today, but just wanted to say hello and can't wait to get back to everything and to catch up. Talk to you soon.

Something exciting

Good afternoon everyone:

I don't have anything to post today, but wanted to pass on something new I'm going to be doing through SCS (Splitcoaststampers). I have been added to a "Blogger Group" list where 20-21 ladies talk with one another via blogs, email or SCS about paper crafting, etc. I am not only excited about meeting everyone, but seeing all the wonderful creations that will be posted over the next few months. I am going to place the members of Group "7" on the sidebar of this blog, so if you get a minute, stop by their blogs and say hello.

My new friends Sue & Samantha were the ones who started talking to me about this and I'm so glad they did - it has been great getting to know them a little more and look forward to talking with them more in the coming years. I have been watching the other groups and it is has inspired me to the point where I could explode with excitement until I get to try it out for myself.

I hope you have a very happy weekend and be safe if you have to get out in the shopping world this weekend - I know we must :)

Good Monday evening

Hi everyone:

I hope you all made it through this Monday :) I received a phone call from school this afternoon saying that Patrick was under the weather, so I've had a little extra time while he was napping to go through the pictures of Christmas cards I made and wanted to post this one. I think it is my favorite. It was very simple to make and I do believe I will go ahead and make more to have on hand for next year.

The poinsettia design comes from a small note cards I got from the Michael's $1.00 bin - I just cut them out and matted it onto Prism red card stock - you can't see it very well, but there are sparkles on the poinsettias; the sentiment is stamped with white ink and I think it matches the flowers very well.

Have a great Monday evening - thanks for stopping by.

Christmas card

Happy Saturday everyone:

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. Well, after downloading my Christmas cards, I am finally posting one and hope to do more later on. I'm not going to say much because after taking a look at what Christmas cards I have done and how many more I need, I'm going to head off to work on more. I hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend and I'll talk to you soon.

Thanks for stopping by !!

Second time this week

Hey:

Well, I am actually posting something again this week - hopefully this trend will continue :) Here is a very simple birthday card I made for a lady who asked me to make a boxed set of birthday cards as a Christmas gift. This took me 10 minutes to make and since I love to use chalk, that made it even better.

I hope you have a great evening and I'll be back tomorrow or maybe even tonight if I get a chance to get those Christmas card downloads done :)

Happy Monday

Hi everyone:

I hope you all had a great Monday - it was extremely busy at work, but I like it that way because it sure does makes the day go fast. I was so busy that Jim called me to go to lunch around 11:30 but I didn't check my voice mail messages until he called me again around 3:30 to ask if my phone was working LOL - I hate that, too, because I always like it when we go to lunch.

Well, I wanted to post a card that's not for a happy occasion, but I liked how this sympathy card turned out and it was so easy to do. I followed a sketch from CPS - love that place.

I'm hoping to finally post some Christmas cards tomorrow - I've been wanting to for some time now, but haven't had the chance to download them yet, but have it on my "to do" list for tonight after Patrick heads off to bed.

Hopefully you will have a good rest of the week and stay warm.

Thank you Sue !!

My First Ever Blog Award !!!

When I went online this morning to update my blog site, I read a comment left by Sue over at Sue Sentiment's asking me to head over to her site because she had a surprise for me. I was completely speechless and excited when I realized she had recognized me with a blog award. As I was telling Sue, I haven't been blogging that long and was so very honored by this acknowledgment. She is such a special person and I do look forward talking with her as often as I can - she truly brightens my day.

She is extremely talented and I love her work - please go visit her site and see what I'm talking about - http://suessentiments.wordpress.com/

Thanks again Sue for making my day.

What a day

Hey everyone:

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday and enjoyed the time with family and friends. It was awesome here and I was so glad to see everyone we haven't seen in a while and am excited about seeing other family members this month.

I'm posting a card that I made using the JustRite stamps for the first time and just love them (I have also been experimenting with the border punches and have gotten 4 in the past week - they are wonderful !!!) I am in the process now of making several sets of monogram cards for my sister as Christmas gifts and they are so wonderful to use. I have been making Christmas cards over the past week and once I get them downloaded, will upload and let you take a gander at them, which will hopefully be over the next few days.

Well, I'm off to go finish watching House and work on gifts for Christmas.

Talk to you soon
