Nesting

Why the plethora of posts? Because it is on my "to do before baby comes" list and I am obsessed with getting everything crossed off my list. I have a few more posts to do, but I need to eat and the dryer just buzzed so I have to go change the laundry. I have done 11 loads of laundry in the last two days and I LOVE doing it!

Oh, and so much for having a leap year baby. I wouldn't chose to be induced on this day, but if it would have happened naturally, I think it would have been funny.

Maggie and Monterey

We were lucky enough to have Audrey's best little friend Maggie (who Audrey lovingly calls Mags) come spend the night with us over President's Day weekend. Maggie's parents were celebrating their five year wedding anniversary, and Audrey was so thrilled to have her first real sleepover.
Midnight snack picnic style (no highchairs)! More like 8 pm snack, but whatever. These girls were livin it up.
On President's Day Memor and Fafa come to town and we went to Union Square to buy Dave a new suit. Well, Memor and Fafa bought Dave a new suit. Thank you! Audrey and Maggie were perfect angels.

Last week Audrey and I packed up and headed off to Monterey for the day to visit my cousin and her family. We had such a great time seeing them and going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I thought I was going into labor on the way there, but this little guy cooperated and I didn't have to deliver him on the side of the freeway.
On the trip there...
Audrey and Neal
Audrey and the otter (I think that's what that is) that she really seemed to like. Thanks for a great day!

Day(s) of Love

I love Valentines Day. I love the treats, I love to wear pink (obviously something a 8 1/2 month pregnant woman should NOT do...see below pics) and any reason to celebrate any kind of anything, I'll take it.
This year we were able to celebrate Valentines Day for three days. We ate enough conversation hearts in those three days that we probably had a very confusing love novel going on in our bellies (plural as in Audrey's belly, my belly and Brother's belly, poor kid).
The day before V day, our little playgroup had a very festive party at Jennie's house. Audrey and all her men...she really wanted to hold baby Jack. Thanks Jack for being such a good sport.
Last years Valentines playgroup picture. Audrey is doing sign language for "more"... more candy please!
On actual Valentines Day, we had all intentions of going to see Dave for lunch, but the Dean called a mandatory meeting (really?) during lunch. That night we got take out and went and ate it on the beach. Audrey loved the couple in the background. She kept yelling, "Getting married!" at them.
I love how much these two love each other...
After dinner we came home and opened presents. This is the best present ever...
Audrey waiting for her gift from her Valentine...another package of conversation hearts and princess clip on earrings. She was in heaven. We put the earrings on her, and she kept shaking her head ever so slightly so that her dangling earrings would touch her neck.
Audrey modeling my gift from my Valentine. Good job Dave, you made both of your girls very happy!
Since we didn't get to see Dave on Valentines Day during lunch, and no Valentines Day is complete without a trip to the school to see Dad wearing lots of pink and red, we went the next day and just pretended it was still Valentines Day.
Audrey loved the heart on her bum bum.
Can't wait until next year!

Happy Birthday Fafa!

Thank you for all your love and support. Thank you for taking us to dinner where "the monkeys shake the trees" (Rainforest Cafe). We love you.

You get what you pay for...

Even though it about kills me to write our rent check each month, I really, really love San Francisco.

Baby

I am going to have a baby. I am due in a week and a day. This is all suddenly starting to become a reality to me. Until Monday, I did not own baby diapers or any baby essentials. Yesterday morning I woke and started to think I should start crossing things of my "to do before the baby comes" list. These are the places I went yesterday morning (Thank you kind Rocia for watching Audrey so this could be posible!)
2 different Targets
Old Navy
Bed Bath N Beyond
Costco
Trader Joes

After Audrey's nap I was still on the "nesting" kick so I packed her up and we went to:
Salvation Army to drop off things
Post Office
Safeway
Baby Gap
The Donut Shop (we needed a little energy kick) and finally
Blockbuster

Now all I need to do is get organized...

You make me feel like dancing,

Wanna dance the night away...
To celebrate some our of friends birthday's, we went on a dinner/dance cruise around the bay. The weather was horrific, slightly like a tornado, but we made the best of it and hit the dance floor. We brought Audrey with us, and I had so much fun watching her dance! She loved it, and Audrey and Maggie were the hit of the night.
Notice Audrey in the corner? She gets that move from her Dad.
Audrey and Maggie rocking out. Again, those are her Daddy's skills.
Happy Birthday Joel, Brett and Rebecca!

Over the Hump Party
Sadly enough, we are half way done with dental school. The school throws a big dinner and dance party to celebrate this bitter sweet event. I never thought I would be sad to be done with dental school, but we love our situation and our friends here in SF so much that the thought of being half over makes me sad. I remember 4 years ago when my friend Melissa went to her Over the Hump Party. Dave was taking his pre requisites to go to dental school, and I remember thinking how much fun a party like that would be. I can't belive it was our turn to go!
The pre-party at Kitrina's house. Thanks for the yummy food and drinks Kitrina!

The girls, minus Regan...we missed you so much
The boys (minus Joel, of course we missed you too) Don't they look excited?

Sadie Hawkins anyone? I wanted to match, and Dave being the good sport that he is, complied.
Happy clan

I love him, both the tall one and the little one growing inside.

Old Navy Baby

Audrey is on Old Nay's web site right now. Most companies don't use two year olds (for obvious reasons) but Old Navy decided to take a risk and hire Audrey (she did great). This was the first time she had ever worn shorts, and when I put them on her she kept bending her knees and saying, "Too tight Mama!" She wasn't used to something touching her legs. Pants and skirts are all she has ever known! It is too cold for shorts in San Francisco. She is on their main site and also when you click on Baby Girl. Thanks Audrey for being such a good breadwinner.

Dear Audrey,

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
1) Whenever you are hurt, you think a kiss from Mom makes everything better
2) You are very expressive. You make the cutest facial expressions
3) You call your Daddy "Prince Charming" 60% of the time. When you wake up in the morning, you call from your crib, "Prince Charming!" He really is our Prince Charming
4) You know everyone’s name and who they are married to
5) When I ask you what you want for breakfast, every morning you say, "Um, waffles, cottage cheese, ogurt (yogurt) and syrup!"
6) You love to come to the Dr with me and listen to Brother's "heart beep"
7) You still love to cuddle
8) Every day you point to the heater in your room and say, "No push the buttons, only mommy and daddy"
9) You are very inquisitive. You want to know "what happen?", and you are always asking me, "Where is him?" or "Where is her?"
10) You are starting to outgrow this, but I love how you mix up pronouns. You used to say, "Audrey do it" then, "I do do". Or if you needed my help or wanted me to carry you, you would say, "Help you! Carry you!"
11) You sing, "I wuv you" to the tune of "This Old Man" and it melts my heart
12) This morning you saw a necklace I wore to Aunt Rachel's wedding and you asked if you could get married someday and I asked who you wanted to marry and you said, "Daddy!"
13) You say the words, "good, home" and "food" like they are two syllable words, "gooda, homea" and "fooda"
14) Your "L"'s sound like "H"'s so you are constantly pointing to things and saying, "Hook it!"
15) When I ask you a question, you used to say, "yeah" then it progressed to a "yeeepppp" and now you give a very definitive answer of "yes"
16) You will make a great big sister. Everyday we talk about Brother and you always say you want to help feed him, give him a tub tub, and take him to go see Santa
17) You are the joy of our lives and I love you more every day
This list could go on forever. I love you so much.
Love,
~Mom

Rejuvenation

Merry Christmas! For Christmas Dave and I decided to give each other a "weekend". My mom (and sisters) so kindly watched Audrey for us so we could have some quality time together over the three day MLK holiday weekend in January. It was a great weekend and Dave and I had such a great time together. We ate out, stayed out late with friends playing Rock Band, slept in, took swing dancing classes in Golden Gate Park, Dave played football and I got a maternity massage. Perfect, perfect weekend. I fell in love with him all over again...

Dinner at the Cliffhouse. Not so great picture of us, but fabulous view!

Rockband baby.

Dave played football on the beach with some friends and I had to cuddle Emelia becuase I missed my Audrey so much.

Dave and I had a great time together. I missed Audrey so much, but knew she was in excellent hands. I missed this little face.Audrey and Max on the rings at gymnastics.
