Bitty Baby tea party

Oh goodness!  How sweet it is to watch a bunch of little girls get together & play with their babies, craft & have tea and snacks!  This past Saturday we had several friends over to celebrate the new Bitty Baby that AMerican Girl put out.  We were lucky House Party guests that won the party package.  Not sure how we did it, but we did, and we were happy!  I couldn't believe the generosity either.  HOLY COW!!  They sent a new Bitty Baby with her book & wish star.  They included her Ballet book & ballet outfit.  They also included the stuffed bunny, and enough favors, coupons, crafts & coloring pages for 15 girls!!

We started the day out making cute little brownie treats for our guests.  We made up little gift baskets with goodies for the kiddos & their babies too.  Once we were ready with the food I got them dressed and they picked out their hats.

We had Belinda, Avery & Carter over.  Andrea came with Brayleigh & Henry.  Jenni & Abbi came & then Ashley & Lily were here too.  We started with "tea" and the proceeded to craft & color.  Rowan read the new Bitty Baby & Me story with some help from Abbi, and then they all played. 

It was just so cute & we are so thankful to House Party for choosing us!!!  Here are a few photos...

Blake Shelton 9/13/13

If I had to pick one person that is my celebrity crush it would be Blake.  Shelly, I know you liked him first, but I can't help what my heart feels!  :)  It just happened.  Joe got me started on The Voice last season & the rest is history!  Blake & Adam are just SO FUNNY together.  I tell ya, sense of humor is a must!!  So anyway, Char & I went and saw the Ten Times Crazier Tour in Milwaukee this past Friday the 13th.  There was no bad luck about that!  We had floor seats & they were pretty good.  Jana Kramer & Easton Corbin opened for him.  He even had Danielle Bradberry (sp?) from The Voice on to sing her new single!  They were awesome too, but Blake...OMG!!  Seriously, he was better than Garth.  That is not easy.  Garth Brooks was my first county love, but I think Blake is going to take over as my #1!!!!    Anyway, for those of you not fortunate enough to attend here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure...

A day I was dreading... 

She did so much better than I had anticipated.  She was not happy, but she went and I didn't have to carry her in.  I thought she would cry & that I would cry, and that we would be one big sappy mess. 

I got to the school and we walked in.  Mrs. Willis met us at the door way, and we talked for a minute.  I have to hand Norah over or she will not go in.  Most kids just walk right in, but she is so shy that she won't.  Anyway, I handed her over& she clung to me.  I had to pry her loose & give her to Mrs. Willis.  I was amazed that she didn't cry.  She did whine though, like she couldn't believe I was making her stay.  I walked away quick, so she couldn't come running, with tears in my eyes.  I didn't cry, but had Norah cried I so would have!

I tell ya, it is hard leaving the baby at school for the first time.  I never got sad with the others...they were so excited.  It's hard to be sad when they were so happy!   It would figure that the baby would be the one that isn't happy about it. 

Anyway, we survived day 1 & then she did better on day 2!!  Here's hoping next week gets even better!!!

Door County 2013

Well, another successful Door County trip is in the books!!  We had a great time!  We went up the Friday before Labor Day & came back the Tuesday after.  The weather was mostly good and the company was even better.  We love camping at Fort Wilderness.  The indoor pool is a definite perk! 

This year, it just so happened that Eric & Jami were at the same campground we stay at.  They were even on the same row as us!  It was really fun to have them to hang out with around the campfire & to go out for dinner with.   

We did plenty of shopping, eating, swimming, and hanging out!!  The kids favorite thing was P.C. Junction.  They have so much fun outside on the pedal cars & checking out the pigs.  Norah just thought those pigs were the funniest things.  She laughed so much just watching them eat & scratch their backs!! 

1st day of school (August 27th, 2013)

Ethan, Chase & Rowan started back to school on August 27th.  Ethan is in 8th grade!  I can't even believe it!!  Chase is in 5th grade.  He is now at North Prairie with Ethan.  Rowan is in 1st at Westfield.  They all got good teachers.  Ethan was very happy to get Ms. Nissen, Chase got Mrs. Shelton, and Rowan got Ms. Morley.  Here is hoping for a great school year for all of them!
