Let's Go Giants Let's Go!!!

I am still stoked that the San Francisco Giants won the World Series!  My husband thought I was crazy to make a card to mark the celebration, but when he saw what I did, he was amazed.

In honor of the Giants winning the World Series, I made a card using one of the cute new Marci stamps from La-La Land Crafts - Cheerleader Marci.  I know cheerleaders are not part of baseball, but I couldn't help but dress up Marci in the "awesome" orange and black. :)

Below is my card, which I will enter into La-La Land Crafts' Customer Gallery for this month:

Supplies:
Bazzil black cardstock
Designer paper from Recollections (Michaels)
May Arts ribbon
Martha Stewart scallop punch
EK Success corner punch
Hero Arts sentiment, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut with Nestabilities label die-cuts

Cheerleader Marci was colored with Copics:
E00, E01, R85 (skin and lips)
E33, E35, E37 (hair)
YR04 and 100 (outfit and pom-poms)
Pom-poms were also sparkled with At You Spica orange and pitch black pens

Thanks for stopping by!  GO GIANTS!!!!

Tellen's Place Challenge - Going To The Chapel!

Happy Wednesday!  Time for another Tellen's Place challenge!  This week's challenge is to create something with one of my favorite themes: wedding! I love going to weddings.  So much fun to meet new people and to enjoy celebrating the day with the married couple. :)

To be eligible to win the challenge, your project must have a "wedding" theme.  You can use any image you like, but if you have any Tellen's Place images, why not show them some love.  There are freebies available to use on the challenge blog, under the "sweets" tab.  Submit the link to your project (just your project not the entire blog) to good ol' Mr. Linky on the challenge blog.  Deadline to enter is next Tuesday, June 22nd at noon PST (wow can't believe it will be the end of June soon).

Here is my card for the challenge:

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
Image colored with the following Copic colors: E00 and E33 and cut using my Nestabilities Dahlia die-cut set
Pearls from Michaels
Sentiment cut from a sheet of designer paper from my stash

Be sure to check out the rest of the team's creations:

Tellen's Place Wednesday Challenge - Tag It!

Happy Wednesday!  It is time for another Tellen's Place challenge.  This week's challenge is called "tag it!"  Have a tag in your project.

To enter the challenge, include a tag in your project.  You may use any image you like, but if you have some Tellen's Place images, why not show them some love. :)  Or go to the store and see the images available for purchase.  Submit the link to your project (not your whole blog) to the wonderful Mr. Linky on the challenge blog.

Here are the tags I created for the challenge:

I thought these would make great bookmarks for my husband.  He is always borrowing mine and never gives them back! :)

All the materials except for the tags (from Michaels) are from Tim Holtz.  I love his products a lot and don't use them a lot, which I should. :)

The first tag is with Balloons Edward, colored with my Copics.  I used a mix of Tim Holtz's Dusty Concord and Stormy Sky distress inks.  I used Tim Holtz's "mask" of a compass and added the inks on top of the mask.

The second tag is with Birthday Edward, colored with my Copics.  I used a mix of Tim Holtz's Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, and Vintage Photo.  I used Tim Holtz's "mask" of sprockets.

Tellen's Place Wednesday Challenge - Flowers

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another challenge from Tellen's Place!  I can't believe April is just about over!  Where has the time gone?!

Just in time for Mother's Day, this week's challenge is flowers!  Your creation should have at least one flower.  So bring on the flowers - paper, felt, designed on paper, whatever!

To enter the challenge, create a new project using flowers.  You may use any image you like, but if you have any Tellen's Place images, why not show them some love. There may be a freebie for you to use this week on the challenge blog. :)  Or head on over to the store to see the images available for purchase. Add a direct link of your creation (not your whole blog) to Mr. Linky on the challenge blog.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I chose Mandy for the image.  Isn't she cute with all the flowers?

Cardstock is from Bazzil.  Designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  Love the two sided paper with the different flowers!  The ribbon is leftover wrapping from an Easter gift my daughter got from her aunt and uncle. :)  So many people have done the ribbon folding, so I gave it a try and winged it.  Turned out pretty good after a lot of glue. :)  The paper flowers are from Hero Arts.  The orange stick on pearls are from Michaels.  I used Copics to color Mandy.  Mandy was cut, using my Nestabilities large rectangle and large rectangle scallop die-cuts.  I added some orange glitter to Mandy's flowers, using my At You Spica orange pen.  I used my Sakura glitter pen for the scallop border.

For our first challenge, the theme is "sparkle." Bring out the bling - glitter, gem stones, anything shiny and bright!

To be eligible to win a free Robyn's Fetish image from her new store, you must use a Robyn's Fetish (RF) image in your creation.  Have no fear - Robyn will supply a freebie for you to use in the challenge blog.  Go to the challenge blog and leave a direct link to your creation in the comments section.  The deadline to enter is Thursday, April 29th at midnight EST.

Here is my first card for RF's relaunch, using Penelope Puppy, which you can purchase at the store!

Tellen's Place Challenge - ATCs!

Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to another challenge from Tellen's Place.  This week's challenge is to create ATCs.  What are ATCs?  For those of you who are not familiar, ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards.  These cards are created in dimensions of 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and can either be duplicated or created differently to trade with other people.  A fun way to learn new techniques and great keepsakes.

To qualify to win, you must use a Tellen's Place image in your ATC.  When finished, submit the link to your entry to good ol' Mr. Linky on our challenge blog.

This was my first time creating ATCs and I had so much fun making them, along with the cute ATC wallet that DT member Lyn created.  Below are my ATCs with the ATC wallet:

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock,  My Mind's Eye's Quite Contrarydesigner paper, Copics, stick on gems from Michaels, ribbon from my stash

Tellen's Place Wednesday Challenge - All About Me!

Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to another challenge from Tellen's Place.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

This week's challenge is "All About Me!"  It is up to you what you would like to create.  Make something that is reflective of who you are.  The only thing asked is that there must be a Tellen's Place design in your creation - past or present.  If you don't have any images, head on over to the store to purchase an image or two or to the challenge blog to see past freebie images to grab.  Be sure to leave a link to your creation on the challenge blog to Mr. Linky.

Owner Terry had her son Markus create look alike designs of all the team members, which turned out awesome! I wanted to create something with my image that wasn't a card.  Below is what I created with my image:

Markus did such a great job with my image.  I don't own a pogo stick nor have I ever been on one, but I love how the whole idea reflects who I am - active.  Active wife and an active mom. :)

The wood frame is from Michaels' dollar bin. :)  I used ink pads from Tim Holtz distress ink collection to color the frame - worn lipstick and dusty concord. The letters are also from Tim Holtz, made of "grungeboard," wonderful material that is flexible and can stand any kind of altering, such as sanding, cutting and inking.  I used the same color ink for the letters and added some Stickles glitter glue - fruit punch to the word "active."  The foam flowers are from Createology.

I colored my image with the following Copic colors:

W3, E39, E00, R20, V15, R37 and the colorless blender

Be sure to check out the other design team's designs. Markus did a super job with their designs as well:
