Let's Go Giants Let's Go!!!

I am still stoked that the San Francisco Giants won the World Series!  My husband thought I was crazy to make a card to mark the celebration, but when he saw what I did, he was amazed.

In honor of the Giants winning the World Series, I made a card using one of the cute new Marci stamps from La-La Land Crafts - Cheerleader Marci.  I know cheerleaders are not part of baseball, but I couldn't help but dress up Marci in the "awesome" orange and black. :)

Below is my card, which I will enter into La-La Land Crafts' Customer Gallery for this month:

Supplies:
Bazzil black cardstock
Designer paper from Recollections (Michaels)
May Arts ribbon
Martha Stewart scallop punch
EK Success corner punch
Hero Arts sentiment, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut with Nestabilities label die-cuts

Cheerleader Marci was colored with Copics:
E00, E01, R85 (skin and lips)
E33, E35, E37 (hair)
YR04 and 100 (outfit and pom-poms)
Pom-poms were also sparkled with At You Spica orange and pitch black pens

Thanks for stopping by!  GO GIANTS!!!!

Birthday Boy!

Today, I participated in the Chi Chi Memories sketch challenge.  I really like the sketches, but I REALLY love the images. :)  I won the last sketch challenge and got to pick either the birthday boy or birthday girl set.  I don't have a lot of "boy" themed images, so I chose the birthday boy set.  I LOVE IT!  I used two of the images for the sketch challenge for this week.  I love this card so much that I am going to make two for my friend's twin sons, who will be celebrating their 1st birthday in September.  Never too early to think about occasion cards. :)

Below is the sketch and my card for the challenge:

Supplies:
Bazzil brown cardstock
Designer paper from my stash
May Arts woven blue ribbon
Martha Stewart scallop punch
"Birthday Boy" sentiment colored with At You Spica baby blue and chocolate pens
Birthday Boy colored with Copics E00, E33, E37, B12, and the colorless blender

Happy 4th of July!  Hope you are enjoying the day!

This week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge is to use the colors red, white and blue!  So appropriate for celebrating 4th of July.  This was a pretty easy challenge, as I still had some paper left over from my 4th of July projects, but couldn't decide on which Penny Black image to use. :)

Red and blue Bazzil cardstock
Designer paper from Scenic Route

A Mother's/Daughter's Love

I had some time to participate in a couple of challenges.  One challenge that I did was for Chi Chi Memories.  I bought some images recently and they are so cute!  One of the images I got was called "Hug."  The image reminds me of the bond my daughter Olivia and I have.  For my first participation in Chi Chi Memories' sketch challenge, I was excited to create a card using the "Hug" image.

Below is the sketch to use and my card for the entry to the challenge:

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
Designer paper I got at last weekend's flea market at my favorite store: Memories Live On!
Martha Stewart punch
May Arts ribbon
Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder
Hero Arts sentiment inked with Memento Dark Cocoa ink
"Hug" image cut with my Nestabilities large circle and large circle scallop and colored with the following Copics: E33, E00, R37 and W3
Red gemstones from my stash

Thanking A Wonderful Friend

I thought I would take a break from cards and make something different.  I wanted to make a gift box with some jewelry that I am still working on to give to my friend as a thank you for being such a great friend.  I found this great tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers for an "all in one box."  It does make a cute box for favors.  Click here to see the tutorial.

I am entering my box to La-La Land Crafts for their "white on white" challenge this week.  I do like the color white - very clean and can be used for simple and/or elegant kinds of projects.

Below is the box I made, using Window La-La, one of La-La Land Crafts' images:

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder
May Arts ribbon
Window La-La colored with the following Copics: E00, E33, B52, BV04, RV11, and the colorless blender
Hero Arts sentiment

I Did It Creations! - 3-D

Happy Friday!  Welcome to another challenge from I Did It Creations!  This week's challenge is to REALLY be creative and go 3-D!  It seems that things from movies to greeting cards are getting a fun dimensional look.  I just like the illusion part of 3-D - looking like the picture is coming towards you.

To enter the challenge to win two free images, your project must have some kind of 3-D look to it.  Using tools like foam dots or paint to create that dimensional look are great things to use.  You can use any image you like, but if you have any images from I Did It Creations, show them some love!  There is a freebie available to use at the challenge blog. Post your link to the comments section of the challenge blog by next Thursday, June 30th at 6pm EST.

This week, our designer is Fanyella Design.  This designer has some wonderful images.  Check out the store to see all of them!

Below is my card using Lili Mermaid:
