I Did It Creations Challenge - Fancy Folds

Happy Friday!  It is time for another challenge at I Did It Creations!

This week's challenge is a fun one.  Create a fancy fold card!  There are many techniques out there for making a card with a different look.  We also have Stampin Dragon as our sponsor this week.  Check out their designs here - amazing designs. :)

Lately I have seen a lot of the "step cards."  I have done a side step card and a regular step card, which are pretty fun.  I thought I would challenge myself and do a double side step card.  The tutorial is from Dawn Griffith, a Stampin' Up demonstrator. Click here to see the tutorial.

To enter the challenge for a chance to win, please see the revised rules below:

All entries are eligible to be in the draw for one digi image of your choice from the challenge sponsor. If the winner has used an image from the challenge sponsor the prize will be a $5.00 coupon.

Each week the images used by the DT will be available upon request as a freebie to use in the challenge. Please email jeanette_wtrs@yahoo.com with Freebie Request on the subject line.

Add the link to your project to the challenge blog by Thursday, August 5th midnight EST.

Below is my double side step card using Jiggy:

 Supplies:
Bazzil chocolate brown cardstock
My Mind's Eye designer paper
Jiggy was colored using Copics YG67 and YG03

I Did It Creations - A Sketch

Happy Friday!  Welcome to another challenge from I Did It Creations!  Thank you to those who participated in last week's "Special Occasion" challenge.  There were some great creations out there!

This week is doing something fun that I like to do - a sketch!  I love sketches!  There are many ways to interpret them.

To enter the challenge and be eligible for the prize, your creation should follow the sketch and include an image from the challenge sponsor.  You can interpret the sketch any way you want as long as you incorporate the elements.  Post your project to your blog and include the link at the challenge blog.  You have until next Thursday, July 22nd at midnight EST.

This week's challenge sponsor is none other than Robyn's Fetish!  Love their images.  For my card, I chose the image "Be Kind To Your Web Footed Friend."  Such a cute image!  If you like this image, check this image and the others at the store.

Birthday Boy!

Today, I participated in the Chi Chi Memories sketch challenge.  I really like the sketches, but I REALLY love the images. :)  I won the last sketch challenge and got to pick either the birthday boy or birthday girl set.  I don't have a lot of "boy" themed images, so I chose the birthday boy set.  I LOVE IT!  I used two of the images for the sketch challenge for this week.  I love this card so much that I am going to make two for my friend's twin sons, who will be celebrating their 1st birthday in September.  Never too early to think about occasion cards. :)

Below is the sketch and my card for the challenge:

Supplies:
Bazzil brown cardstock
Designer paper from my stash
May Arts woven blue ribbon
Martha Stewart scallop punch
"Birthday Boy" sentiment colored with At You Spica baby blue and chocolate pens
Birthday Boy colored with Copics E00, E33, E37, B12, and the colorless blender
Birthday Boy's background cut with Nestabilities small scallop circle

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy 4th of July!  Hope you are enjoying the day!

This week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge is to use the colors red, white and blue!  So appropriate for celebrating 4th of July.  This was a pretty easy challenge, as I still had some paper left over from my 4th of July projects, but couldn't decide on which Penny Black image to use. :)

Here is my card for the challenge using the cute kitty with balloons from the PB Bubbly set.

Supplies:
Red and blue Bazzil cardstock
Designer paper from Scenic Route
Sentiment from Best Crafts designer paper
May Arts ribbon
Corners cut from my EK Success punch
PB image cut, usiing my Nestabilities petitie oval and petitie oval scallop die-cuts, glittered with Sakura glitter pen and colored with Copics W3, R20, R35 and B28.  Also used At You Spica pens gold, red and sky blue for the balloons

Operation Write Home Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Operation Write Home Blog Hop!  If you just came from Debbie's blog to my blog, you are in the right place!  If you just came to my blog, start at the beginning at the Stars and Stamps Blog to find out how to participate in the blog hop.

The blog hop was started to create cards for our troops overseas.  The cards will represent honoring America's 234th birthday.  They can be red, white or blue or anything to commemorate the day!  The blog hop will run today (July 2nd) through July 4th.

What is great about July 4th is that my parents were married on that day!  I love hearing the story of how they prepared for their special day and how one person gave them fireworks as a wedding present!

I Did It Creations is sponsoring the blog hop and will have a freebie for you to use.  Check out the shop to see the designs and the challenge blog for the freebie!

Here is the card I made for the blog hop with Robyn's Fetish image Liberty Bell:

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
Star and blue/white digital paper from Toucan Scraps (first time using digital paper and I love it)
Sentiments cut from designer paper from Craft and Craftin'
Liberty Bell cut using Nestabillities small rectangle and small rectangle scallop die-cuts, colored with the following Copics: E35, E37, E57, W3, and the colorless blender
