Robyn's Fetish Saturday Challenge - A Scrapbook Sketch

It's Saturday and time for another Saturday Challenge from Robyn's Fetish.  This week's challenge is to create a scrapbook page using the sketch below:

To enter the challenge, create a scrapbook page, using the sketch and one or more stamped images on your page.  You can use any image you like, but if you have images from Robyn's Fetish, show them some love.  Also, you will be entered into the challenge TWICE if you do use any Robyn's Fetish images!  Leave your link to your creation on the challenge blog. The prize this week is 3 Robyn's Fetish images of your choosing.  Challenge runs from 12:01 am EST this Saturday through 12 pm EST Friday, March 5th.

Below is my page:

This was a good challenge for me, since I wanted to get an idea for my daughter's 2 year old scrapbook page for her book.

The red and yellow cardstock is from Bazzil.  The designer paper and all the little paper accessories are from Graphic 45.  The red border on the right was punched with my Martha Stewart scallop punch.  The ribbon is from my stash.  I cut out the letters and the word "play" with my Cricut cartridge A Child's Year.

I used Robyn's Fetish image Clarabelle and colored her with the following Copic colors:

B97, E00, E35, R35, R37, Y17 and the colorless blender

Come and join the fun!  Be sure to visit the other DT members and show them some love for their creations:

It's Almost Springtime!

Ah it's almost springtime!  What I really enjoy about springtime is seeing the bright colors that are out there.  This was good inspiration for my entry to two challenges for this week.

1) Penny Black Saturday Challenge - This week's challenge is to use the colors pink, green and yellow in the entry.

2) Copic Colour Challenge - What timing to use these Copic colors in the challenge!

Below is my card I made for both challenges:

The pink cardstock is from Bazzil.  The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye.  I use my Martha Stewart scallop punch for the pink border and added some green ribbon, new from Bazzil.  The pearls are from my stash.  The corners were punched out using my EK Success punch.

The PB image and sentiment is from the Micey Day collection.  The mice were colored with the following Copic colors:

YG00, E35, RV32, G21,  R12 (didn't have R11 for CCC so used this color instead), C3 and the colorless blender

The mice were cut using my Nestabilities label die-cut.  The sentiment was cut using my Nestabilities petite oval and petitie oval scallop.

It's All About The Color Red!

For this week's Robyn's Fetish Saturday Challenge, click here!

I am participating in this week's La-La Land Crafts Weekly Wednesday Challenge, where in honor of Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year, the entry's main focal point is RED!  Other colors can be used, but red has to be the primary color.

Below is the card I did for the challenge:

Hope I added enough red for the challenge. :)  When I was coming up with the design for the card, I knew I had to use Lotus for my card
The red cardstock is from Bazzil.  The designer paper is from Basic Grey, which I used for the background of the card and Lotus's dress, which I paper pieced.  I used my EK Success punch for the red border, which I embossed with my new Cuttlebug Asian folder Plum Blossoms.  I also did the embossing for Lotus's background, cut with my Nestabilities petitie oval scallop die-cut.  I also added in some of The Robin's Nest red dew drops.

Lotus was colored with the following Copic colors:

Eoo, E35, E37, E57, R20, 100 and the colorless blender

The sentiment is from Hero Arts, inked with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and cut with the Nestie petitie oval scallop die-cut.

Thanks for stopping by!

Robyn's Fetish Super Saturday Challenge! - Asian Flair

Yea!  It's Saturday and time for another Super Saturday Challenge from Robyn's Fetish.  Hope you had a great week!
This week's challenge is to create a paper craft project with an Asian flair/style.  Now you may be stumped as to what kind of Asian flair can be used.  It can be anything from paper to stamps to the project itself, as you will see what I came up with for this challenge.

To enter the challenge, create a paper craft project with Asian flair or Asian style.  You do not have to use Robyn's Fetish (RF) images, but if you do, you will be entered into the challenge TWICE for a chance to win three images this week!  Post your link to your project to Mr. Linky so the team and I can check out your work!

Here is the project I created for the challenge: an origami box:

Growing up as a child, I remember my grandmother and I doing origami (Japanese paper folding) together when I would visit her with my parents.  I would learn a new kind of fold and was excited to see what would be created after we were done.  My grandmother has been one of my biggest inspirations in my art projects.

There is a great tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers on making this box here.

I would recommend using thin paper or cardstock to make the box because the multiple folds that are done makes the paper harder to fold.  I did manage to make it work on Bazzil cardstock, but my bone folder had a BIG workout!

Cardstock is from Bazzil.  The washi paper is new from Hero Arts.  The corners were cut using my EK Success corner punch.  I used RF's The Sun  image for the top of the box, colored with the following Copic colors:

Y17 and R08 with the At You Spica pen red and orange

For all four sides of the box, I used my Martha Stewart punch to make the border all around the bottom.  I used gem stickers from Martha Stewart for the flowers.

To purchase The Sun image or to check out the other images RF has to offer, stop by the store.  And while you are there, stop by the forum as well.  We just started an ATC swap, a card challenge and a scrapbook layout challenge so join in on the fun!

Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday - Gretchen

Happy Wednesday!  It is February already!  I can't believe how fast January flew by!  Hope you are having a great week so far.

It is Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday and time for another freebie!  Please stop by the challenge blog for this week's freebie - the lovely Gretchen!

Isn't Gretchen the cutest?  I felt like making something sweet and spring like.

It's been awhile since I have made an easel card.  I enjoy making them and also seeing the reaction from people as to how I made the card.  There are lots of instructions out there to make an easel card.  One of them that I particularly like is from Splitcoast Stampers.  Check out Beate Johns's tutorial here.

Here is my easel card with Gretchen:

The pink and green cardstock is from Bazzil.  The designer paper is from We R Memory Keepers.  The corners were cut using my Cuttlebug.  I used my Martha Stewart punch for the pink border accent. I used The Robin's Nest Dew Drops to add some bling to the accent on the front of the card.

Gretchen was cut using my Nestabilities small petitie oval and scallop and was colored using the following Copic colors:

E00, E33, E35, R20, RV32, RV34, YG03, and W1 for the shadow

For the inside of the card, the sentiment is from Hero Arts, inked with Memento Ladybug ink and cut with my Nestabilities small petite oval and scallop. The buttons are from Basic Grey.  The gold ribbon is from my stash.

Be sure to visit my other team member's blogs and give them some love!
