A Pink and Rosy Day!

I am having so much fun playing with the new La-La Land Crafts images, especially with Marci.  She is just the cutest and sweetest!  Owner Irina Blount and her partner-in-crime Eric have done such wonderful work creating the Marci and Luka images! :)

I made a card a few days ago and came upon a stumbling block so I left the card alone for a couple of days. The beautiful weather here in California has been so inspiring for me to create a cheery card.

Below is my card with Marci with Rose that I will be entering to La-La Land Crafts' Customer Gallery for this month, as well as for Cute Card Thursday's challenge - Anything Goes!

 Supplies:
Bazzil red and pink cardstock
Basic Grey designer paper
Hero Arts sentiment, stamped with Versa Color Orchid ink
Nestabilities petite oval and oval scallop die-cuts
Cuttlebug Spots and Dots embossing folder
Queen and Company red swirl ribbon
Marci with Rose colored with Copics:
E00, E01 - skin
E33, E35 - hair
R35, R37 - rose and Marci's lips
RV02, RV32, RV34 - dress and hat

Let's Go Giants Let's Go!!!

I am still stoked that the San Francisco Giants won the World Series!  My husband thought I was crazy to make a card to mark the celebration, but when he saw what I did, he was amazed.

In honor of the Giants winning the World Series, I made a card using one of the cute new Marci stamps from La-La Land Crafts - Cheerleader Marci.  I know cheerleaders are not part of baseball, but I couldn't help but dress up Marci in the "awesome" orange and black. :)

Below is my card, which I will enter into La-La Land Crafts' Customer Gallery for this month:

Supplies:
Bazzil black cardstock
Designer paper from Recollections (Michaels)
May Arts ribbon
Martha Stewart scallop punch
EK Success corner punch
Hero Arts sentiment, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut with Nestabilities label die-cuts

Cheerleader Marci was colored with Copics:
E00, E01, R85 (skin and lips)
E33, E35, E37 (hair)
YR04 and 100 (outfit and pom-poms)
Pom-poms were also sparkled with At You Spica orange and pitch black pens

Birthday Pirate Luka

Just a quick post to share this card I made for my boss's son, who turns the big 5 next week.

I seem to run into a stumbling block when I make cards for guys, so I was excited when La-La Land Crafts came out with a new line of stamps.  One of them is Pirate Luka and he is so adorable!  Perfect for a birthday card for a boy or something fun for a boy. :) Owner Irina Blount and her partner-in-crime Eric did such an amazing job with this line of stamps that I want them all!

I used Bazzil cardstock and designer paper from Gartner to create the card.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  The brads are from my stash.  I colored Pirate Luka with Copics E00, E02, R37, E35, E37, YG91, W1, and Y38.  I pop-dotted Luka to give some dimension.

Time for bed!  See you next time.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Cheerful Card To Beat The Cold Blues...

My husband and I are home today with colds, while our daughter is out and about in daycare having a great time.  Ah why are kids so resilient to colds?

To beat the cold blues, I thought I would attempt to make a cheerful card.  With my stuffy head, it took awhile to come up with something, but I did and I love it!

The card I made is for the Chi Chi Memories sketch challenge.  The images are just too cute, who wouldn't have a smile on their face seeing them? :)

Below is the sketch and my card for the challenge:

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
DCWV designer paper (Nana's Kids)
Sentiment from DCWV
Queen and Company green border
The kids were cut with Nestabilities rectangle and rectangle scallop die-cuts and colored with the following Copics:
E00, E02, R20, E35, E37, YR02, B24, Y38, and W1

And now back to bed to beat the cold!

Sweet Dreams...

I am enjoying the nice long weekend, too bad the weekend will be ending soon.  I have had some time to doodle in projects here and there and with birthdays and anniversaries coming up, I definitely had my thinking cap on for some new cards and other projects.

I am participating in this week's Chi Chi Memories (CCM) sketch challenge.  Natalie (owner of CCM) always has great challenging sketches to play around with.  And her designs are just too cute!  And...there is a chance to win free images too!  How great is that??

Along with making a couple of birthday cards using her images, I created this sweet card using images from the CCM good night babies set.  The cute girl reminds me so much of my daughter Olivia. :)

Below is the sketch and my card for the challenge:

Supplies:
Making Memories designer paper
Prima flowers
pink stick on gems from my stash
CCM good night baby and sentiment colored with Copics RV32, E00, E33, W3 and the colorless blender

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your week!

Been awhile...

It has been awhile since I have been blogging and have missed sharing my creations.  With my daughter's activities in full swing and having some health issues, my paper crafting and jewelry making took a back seat while adjusting.  I am slowly getting better and getting back to my creations and grateful to them as good therapy for me.

I have been following Chi Chi Memories for awhile and love the digi designs!  I entered the sketch challenge and it was a fun one!  Below is the sketch and the card I created using the sketch.

Supplies:
 Bazzil cardstock
Basic Grey Olivia designer paper
Hero Arts sentiment inked with Memento's Lady Bug ink
CCM's Give You All My Heart image colored with Copics E00, R37, R20, E33 and W3 and cut out with Nestabilities large circle and large circle scallop

Thanks to my followers for your support as always!  Will see you soon!

Pearls from my stash

Birthday Boy!

Today, I participated in the Chi Chi Memories sketch challenge.  I really like the sketches, but I REALLY love the images. :)  I won the last sketch challenge and got to pick either the birthday boy or birthday girl set.  I don't have a lot of "boy" themed images, so I chose the birthday boy set.  I LOVE IT!  I used two of the images for the sketch challenge for this week.  I love this card so much that I am going to make two for my friend's twin sons, who will be celebrating their 1st birthday in September.  Never too early to think about occasion cards. :)
