End of role model program.. and a new challenge

I sucessfully completed my 4-class session at a local middle school as part of the role model program. I was impressed by my class of 12 year olds.. they were a fun and smart group. One of their assignments was to turn in a CD case cover with the title of the album based on their lives. The best ones got prizes from me (candy and my company memrobilia). I am happy i was able to make a difference in some lives. I also gave them a brief presentation on my work including some cool pictures. They really liked that...

On to another challenge, I am helping a local chapter of a professional organization implement their professional development strategy. This is great because it helps me in my performance review as well as its a great networking oppurtunity within my field of engineering.

Nothing much happening...work is slow...and holidays are coming. Havent worked out in a while..so made a resolution to do that and more...

teacher teacher

I had my first class as a role model teacher yesterday..went to a middle school and gave a class to 7th graders. It was a lot of fun.. i was amazed how disciplined the kids were... till the teacher walked out to get something.. then they became unsually loud!! But I told them stuff about myself, my job, my life., my own role models, etc.
