Temptations

 My hunt for straw bags is on again! Was wandering about at forever 21 the other day and these two multi colour bags caught my eye! African-tribal style. But, I am not going to buy anything on impulse again! So I must  go through a thorough thinking process before deciding on future purchases. After selling away some brand new clothes to the ragged n bone man and being lectured by mom for wasting money...          

I cant stop thinking about those bags after I stepped out of the store... haha.. So tempted! Which one is nicer? Cant decide! Both are nice... I want both! It's priced at 23.90 bucks, within my budget of 30 bucks. All my bags cost around 20 to 40 bucks. My reasoning is that I'll rather own many many things of low costs instead of having just one luxury good. That explains why I always buy shoes during sales and I own too many pairs of 20 bucks shoes that cause my feet to bleed and have sores n blisters. After the blisters and pain are gone, I'll forget about them and dive into another sale again! It's pretty ironic. This love hate relationship. If I decide to buy this, which I most probably will, since I cant stop thinking about it day and night, my current collection of straw bags will add up to a total of 7 bags! Doesnt sound like many to me Considering that I am a straw bag fanatic.     

Lots of rave about ikea food these days. My frens  mentioning it, online reviews talking about it.. Apparently their standards have dropped. Their most praised swedish meatballs have come under fire as well. These meatballs have been complained for being out of shape (but who cares about shape if it tastes as well?) and the serving of blueberry jam is too little.   

Havent eaten their meatballs during my visits to ikea. I go there to get stuff, not to eat okay! Haha... Take back those words. Next time I shall try them even though I am not a pork lover. Hope there's enough beef to mask the pork smell. I am having so much craving for unhealthy food....abstinence period has been a tad too long. I want my tiramisu, thai food and belgian waffles!        

       

Post waxing feelings

Now I haf clean, silky smooth skin! The yearning for clean skin and hygience has always been enticing enough for me to go for waxing, yet the waxing experience is often unpleasant... Not the actual waxing process though. It was the "cleaning up" process as termed by my waxing girl that is torturous. She used this tweezer to tweak at every stubborn little hair that'st stucked in there... all my ingrown hairs. It gets more and more painful as she gets closer to the intimate region. Painful like mad! Not exaggerating. Blood froze when I saw her with her tool... the evil tweezer! Strangely enough, this is the second time I had to undergo this cleaning up process... previous sessions were more enjoyable. Maybe the girls were too lazy previously and they skipped the step. Hahah... Was too squirmy today. Squirmed quite a few times when she touched me today. It was indeed uneasy. Perhaps I havent been at it for a long time, forgotten how it feels like. Never gonna to be serviced by this girl again... left so much wax on me! Didnt clean up properly. In grown hairs have bugged me ever since I started shaving. Should not haf shaven right from the start! Too late to regret now. Hope my bump eraser can erase away all the bumps. It's time to start using the product regularly. 8 more sessions to go... and I'll see if I'll renew my package again. It's getting more and more expensive. It was 40 bucks per session the last time I went and now it has increased to 50 bucks! Prices are steep. Hmmm, brand loyalty though. Hairy monster. If only I am less less hairy. Too much male hormones!                       

Mothers' Day

Happy Mothers' Day to all mothers in the world! Dun argue with your moms on this day, treat her like a queen! Oops... we didnt treat mom as a queen though. She busied herself with cooking the whole day... cooked up a big feast! Of course she enjoyed the cooking process.. haha... she derives joy from it. I helped out by cleaning the dishes and wok. Flowers for mommy! Not the usual carnations, but pink african daisies! Though she complains that flowers are useless, she still likes them a lot. That's why my mother plants.. Recently she has grown her own mulberry. Next time dun need to spend money on her mulberry juice already. Freshly picked from the "gardens" outside. Love you mommy....

What?!

Just read this article from facebook... I believe it's a hoax. If it's real, I would have seen huge splashes on the headlines of papers and imagine the hoo ha it creates. The article says that Singapore Flyer has been sold to an Indonesian business man for 304 million as a mothers' day gift. I can sense the filial piety, but to buy Singapore's icon is really outrageous! Not to mention why it's even up for sale in the first place. The most ridiculous thing is, after the flyer has been legally acquired, it's going to be renamed as "Pereira Wheel" (after the name of the man). I really hope that this piece of news isnt factual and it's just meant for laughs. And who's gonna operate the wheel once it's being bought over? The Pereiras? Strange indeed... Been on the flyer once, with kk when it was just in operation. Went there in the afternoon though and there wasnt much to see since everything was still under construction. Next time should go there at nite, capture the magnificent night scene! I really hope the flyer will remain as Singapore Flyer.. at least let that be some form of Singaporean identity.

Finally utilized my la senza vouchers. Maximum satisfaction. Sales assistants are friendly, helpful and amiable. Helped to measure my bra size. Apparently it's still the same, not that I expect some increases... Anyway, the bra sets arent that expensive after all! I guess I had the misconception all along. The prices range from 3 sets for 69 bucks or 99 bucks. I guess all along I think it's a luxury store cuz it's more worthwhile to buy 3 pieces at one go and I always feel heartache to part with that much money at once. I cant remember how much it costs just for a single one. Anyway, the changing rooms have no locks! I thought my room had an issue, but it turns out that all rooms are the same. So, you just close the door and pray hard that no one barges in while u are changing. And they do not have a no-males policy, so quite risky! Oh yes, I am proud to announce that I am a la senza member! So ask me out when you need to get lingerie..... It's time to hand wash my lingerie instead of dumping them in washing bags. Makes it go out of shape easily. Waxing next week...hope the pain is bearable since I havent been there for a long time....                   

Aww.... Kinky!

Rong and Nia visited me today.... slightly cheering me up. Those who havent seen me for ages exclaimed the same thing over and over again: You have slimmed down a lot! And those who are constantly feeling fat expressed the same sentiments again: How I wish I can be down with an illness like you. Please... it isnt healthy to lose weight this way... Imagine yourself no longer enjoying the food that's placed in front of you.. Eating has become more of a chore and a necessity rather than an enjoyment. I used to eat my food heartily, enjoying every single bite. I wish I'll be able to do that again, soon, I hope. Havent seen the girls for months ever since they stepped into the corporate world. Both appeared listless, tired and not as talkative as before. I guess that's the aftereffects of work. Seems to have a toll on them. Weekends have turned into "days of rest" for them in which they sleep in, to compensate for their sleep debts. No longer havoc on weekends as they used to be haha... Makes me smile for a while. Their changes are drastic. Nia has been thinking of changing jobs due to her superior but i urged her not to since she enjoys her work and her colleagues are nice. So just hang in there for a while more... Rong seems to treat her job as something routined and indispensable. Not much job satisfaction in there. Had a nice catching up session with the girls though. One thing hasnt changed pretty much. always have conversations regarding kinky stuff with the girls. Only them..cuz others find it a taboo topic or are too shy. Not everyone is so open minded to such topics. Previously, it was about brazilian waxing, another time about sex shops. This reminds me of a question that my cousin asked me yesterday. She asked if I have heard of anyone going for IPL down there. Frankly speaking, I havent. Only heard people doing it for their legs and armpits. But down there? It seems odd enough! Yes, the hair is unsightly and bothersome, but I think it serves a purpose. To prevent built up of bacteria or so...not exactly sure. And some guys wouldnt prefer their partners to be totally bare. According to mom, these women are termed as "white tigers or foxes" and are perceived as unlucky. So, in my holy opinion, just keep the hair there and not remove it permanently....just go for occasional waxing for hygiene purposes. One thing that I must agree is that it's definitely cleaner during the time of the month. Cousin argues that we are living for ourselves, not for men's sake and a man has got to love you for who you are. She has a point too. Well, being the submissive me, I have a tendency to want to please others. Hahha. Oops. Something bad! Cant be helped...personality factors! Enough of digression... back to today's happenings.
         
So the topic for today is about sex toys. Not that they deliberately started the topic on it..topic came into place when Nia browsed through the sex section in the Herworld mag. It's our favourite section. Haha. Guess that can be attributed mainly to our curiosity. Sex education. So this time round, we were talking about this new sex toy that comes in a weird shape: a couple vibrator called we-vibe. Sounds weird to me. Apparently it can be used on the male and female at the same time. Sounds complicated though and it comes in a weird shape. We were puzzled about how it actually works. Rong then went on to search for videos... it's really funny! Luckily we werent led to porno sites. It's really a complicated tool. The female must wear it in the correct position (must hit the g-spot... who even knows where that spot is, it has no labels? Goodness!) while allowing the male to penetrate. If wrongly positioned, then it backfires. So troublesome right? It has good reviews though... If it can spice up sex lives, then why not? Wanted to get one for my sister as a birthday gift (normal vibrator) but i guess they are shy to try out. I guess both parties need to be receptive to the idea though. My brother in law looks kind of stern.... haha, so I dropped that thought. Dun want to get lectured by them over this.

My girls surprised me with birthday gifts! A bag of undies from La Senza... And a bag! Mom's gonna nag again... Gotta hide the bag in the wardrobe... no space!

They got me size Petite and Medium! Happy... but the petite looks like it can fit a large size! My favourite one is the one with polka dots and lace while the least favourite is the leopard print one. Leopard prints are not my kind of thing. Give me more lace please! I can stop buying undies for some time... yeah happy!                     

The Demise of Breadman Bakery

It's official! Breadman bakery has ceased its operations with effect from 1 May. The irony is, another bakery gotta take its place! According to mom, it's swee heng confectioneries. Hope this one lasts for a longer period as compared to the previous one (The previous one lasted for a year). I always find it dumb to have 2 bakeries located in proximity. Consumers can easily compare prices and tastes.
