Yuan Xiao Festival

Happy Yuan Xiao Festival everyone! It marks the last day of Lunar New Year and is also known as Valentines' day for the Chinese. During this day, families are supposed to gather together and eat glutinous rice balls. I guess this is the first year my family celebrates this festival, we do not haf the practice of doing that. Ate the tiny colourful rice balls that my mom cooked. It's a heartwarming feeling :)
Although I always argue with my mom over dumb stuff now and then, I still appreciate all her efforts. My new year resolution is to cut down on quarrels and arguments and to control my temper. Speaking of that, recently I just went to the temple to pray for good health and a harmonious family and I hope all these will be realised. I would not say that I am a religious person, but I do believe in gods. Praying has this calming effect and it eases my worries. That's why I enjoy going to temples.

My pinkie toe still hurts. Was shocked at the bloodied mess yesterday. Had to clean my shoe... what a hassle! The weird thing was it didn hurt when I removed the shoe yesterday, only to be shocked to see the bloodie toe. It stung badly when I cleaned it up and applied antiseptic cream. Lesson learnt: Next time please do not wear shoes that are too small and remember to stick plasters all over my feet.I still wont give up in trying to wear heels though! HAHA. One day I shall conquer them!
