She is all set to go and has no clue what she is in for... We decided to hike up to Summit lake one Friday evening after Levi got home from work. We had been itching to go camping so we were pretty excited. We had a baby hiking pack for Lydia and I was hiking up with her and Levi had all of our stuff on his pack....it was huge. We should have gotten a picture of the pack, he looked like a pack mule. We had some issues with the baby pack...like as in it was complete TORTURE!!!! It killed my shoulders. It didn't fit right, the waist strap didn't rest on the hips so all the weight carried on your shoulders. OUCH. We still need to burn it. Someone gave it to us and we hadn't used it yet and didn't think it would be a problem but whoever invented that better hope they never run into us... We finally got up to the top, took us longer than it should have due to the pack issues. When we got up to the top there was a beautiful view of Mt. Rainer and summit lake. It was so worth the hike and even t0rture. We will use our other baby pack next time...it's a Kelty and it's so much better.
Lydia enjoyed fishy crackers while Levi set up the tent, she really enjoyed herself.
We had some delicious dinner and had a fire and that slept...we didn't sleep well though. Lydia was everywhere, we figured we wouldn't get the best sleep.
The water was so clear.
Lydia had the best outfit up there.
I love this picture of them :)
In the morning we sat by the lake and ate some oatmeal, pretty relaxing with the bees humming in the background.
This is the view from our tent.
This is the view in the tent.....what a cheeseball.
She loved the cambak, I'm sure it reminded her of my camelbak water bottle she loves to drink water out of it. After we packed everything up we headed up the trail to the Lookout, it was so beautiful the entire way up.
These pictures are from the top, it was pretty scary, I didn't want to stay up there long. The picture above, you could see forever away it was amazing.
Mt. Rainer
Lydia always falls asleep when we hike, it's pretty cute. That's our trip! Lydia was such a trooper.
Still trying to catch up with the summer activities...come back for more pictures soon!
