A new artist...
Thursday, February 16, 2012
One of the things I love about kids is that they are so
open and honest about whats on their hearts.
Baby girl is always making these
beautiful peices of art and they always
have a message of love for the recipient.
( Usually a family member. ) I love that!
She has become quite the budding atist so I decided
her art needed to be framed.
( I did have her sign it after I took the picture!)
Thank you so much for your continued
prayers for my son.
(post below)
I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Hey Chick! (prayer request)
Tuesday, February 14, 2012
I know you were expecting some big ol' pink and red valentine post
but yeah, thats not gonna happen!
I got new stuff! I was so excited I just got these papers hot of the press from
This collection is called
Yee Haw !
There is another brand new super cute collection called
poolside too!
*the fabric tape - is from Love My Tapes!
This ones for the girls!
Yep you know who you are, I miss my friends
and since they know I am a total slacker
about keeping in touch I figured I'd do it here with this card!
Here are the papers I used
"hittin' the hay"
"bumper crop"
Yee Haw snippets and clippets!
So there you have it!
I hope you have a fantastic valentines day!

Prayer Request
As you know my son graduated early last year
at 16, he is now 17 and of course knows everything (I am just the mom).
He has been going to college, and we are grateful for that.
Since he graduated he has contemplated going into the military.
Seriously, I have no problem with the military and I honor and salute
our brave men and women who proudly serve our country.
My problem is when his father and I ask if he has prayed about this
decision he changes the subject, avoids answering and gets angry feeling like we
are questioning or making fun of his descision. He has changed his mind form
the Marines, to the Air Force and now to the NAVY.
He won't even talk about this with us except to "sign here" as he is still a minor.
He will be 18 in May.
Tomorrow he takes the ASVAB
and he will have some career choices to make
in the next two days. I can't imagine making life changing decisions
without first seeking God and His will for my life.
He is a believer and knows this.
Why he isn't seeking God in these matters I do not know.
This morning he told me
"I don't have to pray about this, I made a decision and I'm sticking to it."
PLEASE
be praying for him, I know he just thinks
we are tryng to influence his decision -
truly we know that it is his to make we just want
to be sure that he is making the right choice for him
and that this is God's will for his life.
We are praying for wisdom and discernment,
that he will hear God's voice and make decisions based on God's will for his life.
Thank you, I am sure that you can understand my concerns
and so very much appreciate your prayers.
May God bless your family.

What is so fun about CHA!
Sunday, February 12, 2012
One of the cool things about going to CHA winter is that it takes place in Anaheim, CA. Not far from where I grew up. I was able to see some of my friends and visit with my MIL.
I guess when you are a scrapbooker the funniest things make your day. For this trip it was these buttons I received from my MIL. She noticed that I use buttons in my work and asked if I would want some. I said sure, not knowing how many buttons she was talking about! Look at this!!! This isn't even all of them! There were so many she had to ship them to me - I couldn't fit them in my suitcase!!! I got TWO boxes!
Here are some of my favorites!

Another fun thing is meeting IRL
(in real life)
friends that I've met online and talked to (some of them)
for years! This was my first time meeting
Melissa and Tammy
from Scrapbooking from the inside out!
Here's the whole crew
Tammy, Rachel (owner of SFTIO), me, Melissa, Sophia
Old friends...
Another fun thing is seeing old friends that you haven't seen for years!
All the way on the left is my friend Pat
( I am in yellow - probably the last time you would catch me wearing that color!
But I digress!), the little girl is her sister.
This was from our 9th grade graduation (yeah I am not listing THAT year! LOL!)
Here we are now, it's been years since we saw each other
in person-how cool is that? I think this will make for a fun layout!
I was also lucky enough to spend time with another very close
friend but we were so busy catching up that
we forgot to take a picture! :(
Ironically she took this pic of me
and Heidi Sonbol.
This was after everything was over and we were exhausted!
But you can't go home without bringing
goodies for the kids!

OK a couple more photos of CHA...
I have a ton more if you want you can see them
here
I even filled up my flickr account!
Isn't this gorgeous?
And I had to share this photo of Graphic 45's booth!
There are always amazing things in there!!!
I think I am exhausted just doing this post! I am going to bed!
Goodnight all!

CHA...oh my goodness more pics...
Friday, February 10, 2012
Ok so since I have been home I am trying to get my house back in order
laundry, cleaning, catching up! I still have some fabulous photos
to show you from CHA!
Now for this picture - I would so appreciate if the displays would post
the designer of the projects - I am so loving these
and would like to see more but I dont know who designed them.
(If you recognize them and know the artist can you let me know?)
I was so excited to meet Heidi Grace - isn't she cute?
She is back in the industry and designing her own cute new lines!
Love this - you know how hard it is to find "big boy" lines!
So fun!
Congrats Heidi!
I was super excited to see my card in the top 20 case at CHA for Clear Scraps...
It's the one one bottom right hand corner!
How cool is that? |
and last...
