The Road Trip (with a dive out of the plane thrown in!)
It's been ages since I posted, I haven't even told you our plane dive and road trip story! How very rude indeed.
Well, it all started with me and Andrea meeting at the warehouse - watering the tomatoes before we hit the road! We had to travel in two cars as I was heading to Canterbury and Andrea back to Peterborough after our adventure. So, the road was long, and our spirits up (and the sat nav not really set cos I couldn't remember my dads address - how rubbish am I).
We had a few stops, the first approximately 10 mins after we set off - it's very important to have provisions on a road trip, and man we ate! haha.
We did have a little trauma, when Andrea was getting sleepy on the motorway and doing that wavy drive technique, so we pulled over for some air - and like a cocky mare I told Andrea to put her handbrake on, only to look at my car which was off, down the road, dogs pretty useless at this stage in hand break application. I ran after the car (it's small, I'd have been able to stop it with my incredible hulk arms), but it ended in a ditch before I could get to it. With car safely on the road, we had a little stroll and then got on our way again.
We had a lovely evening at dad and Elena's, Teela my dog was dismayed to see her two daughters (she never did the maternal thing), especially as they are so keen to love her, awww.
The next morning was part two of the road trip, and we were just abit late! Bombed it!! Waste of time panicking - had to wait yonks to do the jump, but the sun shined - we had many lovely things to keep us entertained, so all in all it was rather splendid. And then, Howard with his balls of steel, and me with my boobs of saggy rubber - off we went into the blue! And what a wondrous blue it was. It took 20-25 mins for the plane to climb to the required 15000 feet, and then before I knew it we were jumping out of a plane. No, really, jumping out of a damn plane. I wasn't scared until we actually fell from our safety net......
then I realised I was terrified!!
Oh man, seeing the world open up like that and span out before you - my brain just could not comprehend what I'd done. Shock. All the things they told us not to do, I did! Obviously. Don't put your arms to far back - mine looked double jointed, don't hold the instructors hands, holding on for grim death!! haha. I let go quickly.
After my brain asked me if I was actually enjoying myself, I concluded I probably was - but when the parachute opened and the world slowed down it became amazing, and I didn't want to land. It was just fantastic.
We landed, so quickly, but easily. I obviously decided I loved my instructor (I was alive!!), but we had to leave. Me and Andrea celebrated with cake - then tea! Smashing.
We had a safe journey home, the end of our road trip and excellent adventure.

Sky dive for Exeter Leukaemia Fund
Oh my word, in just over a week - next Friday, myself and Howard, and lots of other fantastic people are jumping out of a plane to raise money for Exeter Leukaemia Fund. I'm really excited, and would love to raise as much money as possible (everything I raise will go to the charity, not to pay for my jump!).
If you can sponsor me - even a little bit, then please visit my page at:

Craft club
Wow, it's been ages since I did a posting hasn't it, how rude. Well I'm back, and with great news that I've not just booked a Craft Club this month, but actually have it sorted for the next 3 months!!! Hey, me organised! When does that happen.
Now you've picked yourself up off the floor I'll let you know the dates:
24th May
28th June
26th July
For anyone who hasn't been before the club is held at Jubilee Hall, Wincheap Road, Wincheap, Canterbury. It's on the corner of the road that you turn down to get to Homebase (if that helps!). There is a tiny free car park, a larger pay and display car park - and then of course there is Homebase, who have a big old car park.
The idea of the club is just to get together and craft. Share idea's tips and techniques and put the world to rights. There is a small fee of £2 (I think, it may have been £3 I keep forgetting, but I'll check with the ladies).
We have tea, coffee and biccies, and of course people generally bring things to play with - so if there's a new technique you've learnt then bring it along to share. Or if you have something you've never used and haven't go a clue what to do with it, then similarly bring it along. Not guaranteeing us lot will know - but bet we can come up with some smashing suggestions!
We have a "rent a stamp" box, where there is a small fee to rent a stamp until the next club - the money goes into the club kitty so eventually we will have ooodles of cash to get a demonstrator in or buy supplies.
If you have lots of crafty stuff you no longer use, bring it along to try and sell. All we ask is you put a percentage into the crafty kitty.
I hope that sounds good for those of you who many not have been before - to the regulars then - sorry, taken me ages to sort, but I'm really looking forward to seeing you on Monday.

Skydive Sorted
Gulp, can you believe it, the skydive is but a month away - I'm so excited! There's quite a big group of us doing the jump, so there will be plenty of nerves about - but imagine the buzz after we've done it, brilliant. I'm sure I'll need pushing out of the plane, that's the mega scary bit isn't it.
Obviously I'm hoping to raise loads of money as well, so would appreciate any donations anyone can give. The jump is for and being organised by Exeter Leukaemia Fund.
My fundraising page is:

Thank you to anyone who can help raise some pennies. I will be getting the photo's so will share the experience with you!xxx

Photo blanks!
I'm rubbish, took photo's from my lovely day at the Stamp Man, and didn't save them properly! I'm so annoyed. Had a great time, thank you to everyone who came, and of course the whole team for letting me loose with sprays, stamps and wonderful inks. Check out the stamps that you can only get from Stampman - designed by Karen, they are beautiful.
Grrr, how annoying, going off to sulk!!
