Secret Identity

Emma has a secret identity. One morning while we were in the bathroom together getting ready she came in and said, "Mom, do you like my spy outfit?" She commenced to have a full on secret agent conversation with herself and her reflection. All very confidential so I can not say anymore.
Her spy outfit. Nicer pants, church shoes, purse to the side, and sunglasses.

A spy pose-nobody would ever suspect a little girl.

Ready to take down the bad guys.

Kid Update #1

Aaron has grown inside this last month. Sometimes as a parent, well frequently you question yourself and ask, "Is anything we are teaching this child sinking in?" Aaron has given us glimpses lately that it is, but he will show us in his own good time. I need his help frequently and he is able to help with many things as his abilities increase. The boys helped Scott did a drainage hole in March. Oh time is passing quickly. He is soon to be 12 and that blows me away.

My four favorite men! Zip line in Panaca, NV
Shooting at a airborne soccer ball. I truly believe all males like to pull triggers. Any trigger that will create noise and a mess.

Good thing we live in the country.

Kid Update #2

Oh our Brinlie Girl. She has had a busy year and is growing up so quickly. She is doing perfectly in school, excelling in piano. (she plays all the time-my head hurts from the constant noise. if it is not her playing the piano, it is someone else. but that is a good thing right?) never forgets to say thank you, and does her homework as soon as she gets home. But she is not perfect. Nobody is, but we are grateful for her goodness and desires to be obedient.

For her birthday she wanted to get rid of her PINK bedroom. Here is a before photo, she is about to hurl because of all the pinkness. At her party each girl gave her a hearty birthday spankin'
This is her as a sneech. The dance dept. did a tribute to Dr. Suess through dance as she was a darling silly little star belly sneech.

Kid Update #3

Carter Boy was Baptized in March, had a fun pirate party, started soccer, had cousins and grandpas and grandmas come visit, and had an awesome spring break. Carter is my right hand man during the day. Today he helped me take all our paper, plastics, etc to the recycle reciprocals. It took us 20 minutes because we had so much. He helped me transplant some berry starts from a neighbor, and he played with a little boy not his age simply because this little boy wanted to play with Carter and his parents brought him over. He needed his Carter fix. Then he also had to write 50 times, "It is not good to hurt other people's feelings." That is Carter. Lots of wonderfulness with these streaks of....human nature I guess that come out. I think we all are like that.

Kid Update #4

Darylyn is in a cooky stage right now. Or Cheesey! Silly smiles, weird faces, uninhibited laughter...She is a ball of fun. Her life consists of playing with sisters, playing with brothers, playing with friends, some chores, some school, reading, drawing, and then playing some more. She has the best laugh! She is a great help to Fischer and Emma and is doing well on her reading. She is playing the piano and loves life. She is I must say a pure girl, full of drama, emotions of all kids which can surface very quickly! She is changing so much from a chubby fat baby to this lean and tall girl right before our eyes!

At her Pirate Party, her and her other mates! Some of her Play School Friends.
Getting a birthday kiss from her big Sis!

Kid Update #5

Emma girl is getting freckles! These cute little ones across the bridge of her nose and onto her cheeks. They suit her spunky personality. She is learning and loving Joy School, especially learning the songs. We love catching her singing away, to all sorts of songs. On Saturday it was, "There once was a man, who loved a woman..." From the movie Pajama Game. Singing to herself, it just tickles us. She is wants to be included in all things. She hates it when the big kids go get wood with Dad and there is no room for her.

Her silly face she had to make for a Joy School project.
This picture is Emma, bouncing, bright crazy orange dress up, hair everywhere, happy and enjoying life.
I caught sight of this one day out of my kitchen window. Scott was plowing up the garden and she had asked for a ride. Around and Around they went .."so happy together!"

Kid Update #6

The best way to describe Fischer is BOY. He loves to be outside. If he hears someone come home and the door open he speed walks towards the door as quick as he can to try and escape before the door is closed. When outside he wanders around with Lucy. Kicks the soccer balls around, plays in the dirt, throws rocks, explores the playhouse, or finds water to play in. He can not get enough fresh air. He loves balls. Chases them, rolls them, kicks them. When Carter has a soccer game and there are balls everywhere he can hardly control himself! We even take one of his own balls but he wants the others. He is such a delight to all of us. A bubbly happy boy! So curious and brave and wanting to be apart of all activity. This little mischievous streak is starting to show itself lately. I can only imagine what that entails.

During spring break we took a day trip to Panaca, NV. Long story short - he rode a zip line! A big people zip line and loved it!!! Did not want to stop riding it. As you can see they had this child swing attachment we could put him in. I was worried, he just smiled and kicked his legs the entire time.

While our cousins were here the little girls were making mud cocoa.

Fischer found some and loved what it did for his hands.

Playing with Carter. Carter takes him on all sorts of adventures.

Kid Update #7

Baby G has been cooking about 13 weeks, and is due to join us October 17th. We feel pretty certain it will be a she, but only time will tell. Our kids are thrilled. We told them about a week ago and there was hooting and hollering and Fischer even puts his hands up in the air. We are glad they are excited. It's funny but they have been talking about Baby Gracie for months now...so we'll see. I am feeling as I should, which I am grateful for because that means everything is normal. This baby is a huge blessing as this pregnancy was a huge shout out from the Lord telling me..."I am in charge, not you. And you need to focus on being a mom and not getting distracted." So if it is a girl, Grace or Gracie is a very appropriate name.
