yes, we finally finally met up! its so difficult to meet up with her! we are both busy pple u see!
ate at this hong kong cafe - not sure what's the name. its just one of those shops across bugis junction.

we sat by the window. quite comfortable looking at the street outside.

chicken chop with rice! nice! [i lost the photo of the thick toast with peanut butter and condensed milk which i ate for the first time in my life.]

then we crossed the street to a dessert shop oppo for mango with sago dessert.

walked around bugis and saw quite nice stuff! but poor yuanli is still suffering from frictional unemployment! and i want to save money to spend in korea. yup. so... haha.

so cool. yuanli maybe going to kl to catch jay's concert cause prob the tickets over there are still available. we really caught up quite a bit =D. we miss playing handbells together! btw, i heard from her that szemin's going back to nj to teach physics (+coach canoe). PHYSICS u know! haha, pro! hmm, if i were to teach physics, i'll faint. if the students ask me questions, i'll probably ask them to read their notes over and over again. won't i make a good teacher! haha. cannot imagine the students calling szemin "Ms Lim". she's so amusing!!

sch's starting [not for some of us]! haha. its the v first time not having to worry about all the holiday homework and whatever tests that may spring out at the start of the year. =D =D =D to my going-to-j2 juniors, work hard!

oh, thanks du qian for sending us the dates of the CO practices. hopefully yuting and i can go back nj to visit CO.

hmm, been busy packing for the upcoming korea trip. there's like a huge change of plans late last week! received some really disappointing news on wed/thurs from chan brothers. so irritating! so far i only told the whole story to qn. she totally understands how i feel! and what she says about she going to korea in p3 is super funny!

just to update. i'm still going korea. its been brought forward.

half day today =D

haven't got to enjoy any half day since i started work. nice yuting's mum and yuting (who helped to mash up the potatoes) made shepherd's pie for our dept pple. THANKS! its so yummy! [horrible chien wei said it would be a flop since yuting is helping to make. but he's wrong ok!]


my (scary) boss brought her niece over. she's super adorable ok! love her so much! had a meeting regarding Le Reve and she was kind of disruptive cause everyone was distracted by her actions. can anyone tell me why she so sweet.

lunch with shirlyn! shall not eat pepper lunch soon again cause i'm sick of it!!

quite excited talking to her cause there's so much things she did in the hols that are so interesting! i want to hear more!!! somehow i feel that the work i'm doing now is a waste of time. i want to learn new things! not going to learn driving at the moment cause i love being chauffeured around. we've decided to learn jap together! and once Le Reve's project is over, i may work as something more interesting but tiring and pay is no good. shall start planning for my future.

i love shirlyn to bits and i miss val! pls come back from shanghai soon!!

hmm, apparently there's really nothing much that can occupy yuting and i in the legal/admin department (which is our dept) - just some simple filing and computer work. so we help out with some v minor stuff over in the accounts dept (my mum's dept).

since its christmas around the corner, there are cakes arriving in each dept (from the directors) that are really yummy. and there's a christmas lunch (buffet style) on christmas eve.

i miss her so much!! haha. i treated her kfc [a bday treat] and she treated me ice-cream in return. and we talked the whole afternoon. she told me stuff about her previous job.

some funny/interesting stuff that happened at the accessories shop.

#1 met mr tong + family
#2 mistook a malay customer for a chinese one and spoke chinese to her. haha!
#3 offended some customer. ok, this is funny:

customer: (speaks in chinese) so how long does this membership last?
laogong: 可以用到死为止


apparently she forgotten how to say 'lifetime' in chinese at that point of time, so she said that. HAHAHAHA!

and so the customer was a bit offended

she also told me how s03 celebrated cindy koh and her birthday. the yew seng part was funny can! anyway, i miss cindy koh [ and all her silly actions ] v much!!! according to my laogong, cindy said that i was sweet! haha, so true hor!!
i want to talk to my laogong again! =(

handbell chalet

met yanyi at my hse bus stop then off we go to aloha changi for the chalet. we chatted on the bus throughout the journey. so nice to catch up with a friend =). miss handbell juniors + seniors! its really seeing them almost once a year! but glad i turned up. some juniors [those that i knew] changed a lot! nice talking to everyone!

HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY LAO GONG!!

its been REALLY SPECIAL to have such a close friend like my laogong. kind of forgotten how and when we got so close together [not sure when she started to call me laopo - should be some time during 1st 3 months].

its simply difficult to imagine how both of us became great friends when we didn't really talk to each other in cedar. i still remember seeing her - in that maggie mee hair, carrying that 1.5 litre waterbottle round her neck (super hilarious!)- when i first stepped into cedar. and never did i expect to be classmates with her for sec 1 and 2.

both of us! both of us changed a lot since then!

she had 3 close frens whom together we called them SI DA TIAN WANG. not much pple dare to go near them cause all 4 were super weird! [haha, quite mean of me to say that, but its true u know!]
sec 3 and 4, we went to different classes. not much of a difference to either of us since we v bu shou. and during those 2 years, we became even more bu shou. XD

and last year, we both came into NJ. still not shou with each other initially, but cause only around 20 cedarians [compared to other schools which had much more pple - like the overwhelming no. of RV pple x_0] came into NJ, so most of the cedarians were always together and that's how we got closer to each other [and that's how i knew yuting too. haha]

same subject classes for PCM. she took lit while i took econs. though in different civic classes, she was with s02 most of the time. since she knew nobody else except me in my class, i sort of "took care" of her. made sure she wasn't that left out [ see i'm so nice. HEHE! ]. so we became close. the ironic thing is that, we were closer after 1st 3 months when she went to s03[where the majority of the remaining s02 pple went there] and me, s01. we were like super sad, cause we hoped to be in the same class after she changed to econs. talked on the phone v often cause i had like so much complaints about s01 at that time. x_x [hehe, complaints were mainly about the environment and pple. cannot help it la, cause its so different from s02]. she had to like tell me about good stuff about being in so1 which didn't sound convincing to me actually.

later we adapted to our own classes and kept meeting up + talking to each other. met almost every morning, took bus together, studied together, went to my house and back to cedar, went out to eat. really enjoyed her company. could tell her almost everything - both sad and happy. and she was there to listen. she's quite used to see me crying [maybe cause i only dare to cry in front of her] and would be there to make me happy. THANKS SO MUCH!

we got lots of mo qi and shared same sentiments about almost everything. so cool right! she always say she wants to xiu her laopo cause i'm a lousy wife[say i go and seduce ______) but she herself go and gao wai yu with many pple! so many happy/sad/funny stuff happened but i want to say that she really takes good care of me!

STAY AT ORCHARD HOTEL

hotel stay [its free!] =)
its only a really short stay, but i enjoyed it v much! SHOPPING + EATING are the main things that my family have been doing. not a waste of time at all. its totally relaxing!

did some shopping at shaw first before checking in. then we checked in into this nice cosy room! its bigger than what we booked cause it seems like the rooms are fully booked and the original room has been given out to some other guest who needs it urgently.

decided to go out after putting our stuff down cause we wanted an early dinner. all of us wanted to watch last episode of goong s in the hotel room [which starts at 7.30].

then we did shopping at metro and bought quite a no. of things! the christmas sale is so tempting u know! Next was dessert! [see what i meant by shopping+eating almost non-stop...] each of us got an ice-cream from the new zealand icecream. YUMMY! walked along the streets of orchard road... and saw the nice lightings +deco.

watched goong s together as a family! the ending was not too bad though it could be better. i'll really miss yongcheng gong! oh, and golden horse awards was showing at the same time. didn't watch the live version but managed to catch the later one. jay's super pro!!! =) =) =) SECRET won 3 awards ok! best movie soundtrack award, best visual effects award, and Taiwan's most outstanding movie of the year award. hee. anyway, xiaojingteng's performance was great too!

woke up and off we went to tiong bahru market for breakfast. ate like so much can! we ate porridge with yusheng and you tiao, wanton noodles, some super nice coconut kueh and chwee kueh. *burp* HAHA! its so so gratifying!

went back to the hotel for a short rest. each of us started to do our own stuff.
dad have to go back to work for some thing so mum, sis and me went to shop at johnlittle's megasale at expo. went there before going to changi airport that day to see the things first [no money that day]. now with my mum, its time to buy! HAHA! bought lots of stuff cause its cheaper than the actual price. its super crowded cause its the last day!

after checking out, we went to cut our hair. my hairstyle's around the same, just that its slightly more layered. a bit volumized. but guess it will be flatten tmr morning after tonight's sleep.

i love this weekend! its really quality time spent with my family! love everyone!
oh, our KOREA trip is coming up! i want to stock up on winter wear!

[let me randomly say something...] I REALLY MISS TAIWAN! during this period last year, i'm in tw! well, some really sad things did happened, but its still FUN on the whole. i'm trying to get the blogs of the buddies and will link them asap. =) just talked to TIPPERs (guanwen/joe/my buddy and brandon too) on msn. guanwen's buddy is really SHUAI and super funny [don't know how to spell his english name!] I MISS EVERYONE IN TW! :(

tmr i'm starting work [quite looking forward!! :)], most prob not going class outing. sorry class!

i shall be a good girl and sleep early.

cellobass outing + sending indo girls at airport

we actually planned to go to the zoo on thurs, but it rained so heavily the whole day on wed, so we decided to not go zoo just in case it rains.

but there was a mini cellobass outing to ps where we had lunch + walked around. kahyan's super funny. she talked + laughed until so loud! talked about
*grad night [we looked at kahyan's and yuting's pics. kahyan and picklesheng are so pei!]
*neopets [this topic got kahyan so high lor! but its super funny!!]
*hotspring [audrey's experience is so amusing! luckily that time i and yuting didn't go in japan.]

then we went to buy scrapbook materials. kahyan, audrey and me love that shop! so we spent a long time inside choosing materials. later when yuting was buying a present, audrey saw two guys walking who really looked like dingjie and jinxian! jinxian's twin was super erxin [the way he walked] and i and kahyan couldn't stop laughing about it. HAHA!
we went to queue for the free starbucks drink. didn't take too long. the drink was NICE :) but its so COLD! esp the weather was so cold.

had a great time with CELLOBASS =)


AT CHANGI AIRPORT
on fri, s01 met at changi airport to send tasya, vita and sheila cause they were going back to Indonesia. [SORRY YUANLI for not being able to go out with u as planned! we shall meet up next next week, PROMISE!] quite a no. of us went to send them off - its like a class outing. [quite sweet of S01 :D ]

ate at burger king and as usual, watching derrick + cherlynn and talking about gossips were entertaining...

made something for each of them. hope they like them!

went to T1 to send vita and tasya. then we went to t2 to send sheila. [oh, and we didn't know teguh went back to indonesia yesterday! horrible mitch didn't tell us!]




jm, charmian, brandon and weixiang helped to prepare an album for each of them on behalf of the whole class and they didn't sleep the previous night [except wx]! there's like so much things to prepare for the album. xin ku ni men le! a BIG THANK YOU!!

graduation night 2007 - ARABIAN NIGHT!

ARABIAN NIGHT!

my laogong came to my house in the afternoon and then i helped to straighten her hair. we miss her curly hair so much u know! not sure if anyone still remembers it. its such a classic! haha! later she practised walking on heels cause she couldn't balance. poor girl! next, we set off for the salon near my house where i did my hair+make-up. my laogong's make-up skills are quite pro so she did herself and it turned out quite natural.

my dad fetched us there and we reached around 7. met jiemin, liyan and yewseng at the escalator there. and yewseng couldn't recognise me! only when my laogong said "eh, my laopo leh." den he was like "EH". actually, this time a lot of pple didn't recognise me and thought i didn't go grad night [which was like super super kua zhang right!] like our dear MISS LITING! she told xiao di di i wasn't there. HAHA! but quite glad that xiao di di actually had the heart to look for me.

the whole night was just phototaking + eating. food wasn't that nice. NICE derrick helped me to get all my food cause my chopsticks skills very lousy u see. haha, it'll be super unglam if i drop the food on the table before it reaches my plate right. XD

glad that i went straight home after that [sis fetched me] cause i was super duper tired.
