Merry Christmas!

Hohoho...Merry Christmas! And guess what I got this year??

A face full of red spots!!! Agghh!! Pain ah! My big sister saw one tiny pimple on my face just now...and the pimple-piciking frenzy began. And i ended up looking like I got chicken pox or something! And not to mention my face feeling like it's been bitten by ants! Ouch!

My gawd...the bumps are so big I can even see them from the corner of my eyes without looking in the mirror! @.@

Lots of people are at my house today. Big sister and bro-in-law came over with their kids, aunt came over, A h  F a t (Fat as in gemuk) and 3rd sister came over, cousin and her bf came over........because they wanna play lami again! Which spells B O R E D O M for me =.= ZzzzzzZzzZz.... And me? I'm just gonna play PetrolHead on facebook. damn sad yeah?

Oh well, there's always my little good book to read.

Baie kali...as if I haven't read enough during the semester, I have to spend my holiday reading books again. Geek yo!

Ah my 6-year-old nephew said he's got a new friend. *Sweet*.....and it's a milipede! EEWwwwwWWw!!!! He touched that icky thing last night and talked to it, sulked when his parents told him 'the milipede wants to go home already'. Yuck man...so geli~ *shudder* 

I'd rather touch spiders! Tiny spiders i mean! Not the ones with bulu2.

And i blardy hate cicadas! Errkk!! Those things freak me out...especially when they make loud 'drrr drrr..' noises. Somebody once put a vibrating, loud, very geli, giant cicada at the back of my neck when i was a kid. Aiyerr...can imagine how hysterical i went. I'm so glad I don't see that thing anymore. 

Eh why am i talking about bugs on a Christmas day? LoL.

Right...I think i wanna go look for food again...

Funny moments

2 posts in a day; just proves that I'm damn boring myself out today. All I did was sleep...hoho I didn't feel like doing anything. Did I say i couldn't sleep well last night? I think it was the alcohol effect...got me burping my way till morning! Haha...damn i wasn't feeling nice in the stomach. I just had dinner with my sisters and mum at iLotus...had 2 bowls of rice...Ahh~ the satisfaction.

Anyway, I have nothing more to add...just gonna post up some funny pictures I came across today.

Still sober

Last night, I went to a party with...someone (or rather, some people) I barely knew. BOLD eh? I only met them ONCE at the Tutong beach barbecue last week...most I have never met at all, and two of them...tau2 only but never spoke to them. Just so you know...I DON'T always go out with strangers!

Okay...this is how it all started:

I woke up from my unplanned afternoon nap (fell asleep while reading a book), with my hair looking like pontianak...all that was in my mind was "GET SOMETHING TO EAT".

Then two men appeared at my door, asking "Ah may you zai ma? Ah may you zai ma?" (Is ah may around?), and my grandma went "Hah? Ni yao zao she sui?" (Who are you looking for?). And me...busy looking for food in the fridge didn't bother lah ofcoz, since my grandma was there to layan them LoL. 

Then grandma said, "Weii...zhao ah may de" (They're looking for Ah may)

I looked up from the fridge, and thinking some of us at home calls my second sister Ah Mei (coz she's so short like xiao mei mei HAHAHA) calls my sister "Jie...zhao ni de lar!!" (Sis...they're looking for you!)

Then my sister went and layan them....and came back a few seconds later, "Eh zhao ni de lar!" (Eh...they're looking for you lar!). 

Cheh...call me Ah May...how i know? My friends all call me May only...where got 'Ah' at front! hehehe~ :P

So...i contemplated for some time whether to go or not. At first, I thought 'dangerous eh go out with strangers...", but seeing everyone in the house was too busy playing lami, don't even layan me when i talk to them (Huh...kesian), I decided to go out and have fun.

To boldly to where no girl has gone before... (or maybe not??)

Hah...it wasn't so bad really. Some of them are friends of my friends, so...not exactly complete strangers ^^

Anyway, I had a good time at the party despite not knowing any of the people there very well.

Played some card game...it's kinda like UNO, and requires drinking. Thing is...till now, I still haven't completely understood that game. It was fun, nevertheless.

Amazingly, I remained sober till the end. ;) *Phew!*

Dying family traditions?

Another update! Very active blogger huh me? Too much free time bah....

Dang i don't like vacation! XP one or two days holiday is ok...but LOOooooOng vacation i no like...unless i'm out of Brunei! And that does not include being in Miri!

Was suppose to meet up with the Brunei participants of the Youth Camp today. We were suppose to write a report about the for the embassy, Ms. Kim...and many2 people. Ms. Kim has been asked me for it months ago, now baru wanna start doing it. Paiseh~ ah... but meeting cancelled! Because out of the 7 people i texted...only 2 can make it! Wahlaoo...so difficult to get all these people together lar! Malas already...I leave this job for the national leader!

Tomorrow's the...something festival. I don't know the name! Y' know we make rice cakes manisan. It's called 'dong zhi jie'  in Chinese. I had to go through all the trouble of asking my mum what it's really called! kk...me and my cousins call it 'make bulatan' day! haha what a name! (To my friends who don't understand Malay, bulatan means balls.......ok balls sounds weird! It means round/circle?! ^^')

Apart from the lunar new year, this used to be my favourite time of the year coz the night before the festival, we - me, my sisters, cousins, aunts and grandma - would gather and make rice cakes together, chitchatting till we're done. (The adult guys in my family tau makan  only so they never help out! :P) THAT was when we were kids!

The title for my post today is dying family traditions coz....it really is dying!!! (D-oh!) 

Sad huh? Everybody now has plans of their own...no time for 'family moments'. I guess when kids grow up, being with friends is more fun than being with family. Why ah??

My third sister didn't come back tonight, my cousin was out till late night...the only 'kids' left in the house was my second sister, me and my bro. Aiyooohhh...so kelian!

Dang...is it just my family or is everybody else's like that too?

i miss those family moments! -.-

Kkk...i missed this year's ricecake-making tho... *'_'*

I didn't realise it was already almost midnight when i wanted to go and help out.

I went to the kitchen...they've already finished! -_-"

they say if you're 20, you only eat 20 biji...if you eat more, you'll become older.

i think i ate more than that...and i definitely will eat more tomorrow!

I cleaned my room!

That's how my room looked before I cleaned it! 

Ok...maybe it's not very messy. But it's messy enough for me! :P I had books all over the place!

I started cleanin' at around 3.30pm and finished at 9.30pm! 6 HOURS!! haha berabis~

Did a lot of decluttering, now my room looks really spacious! HeHe! 

The biggest decluttering i did was getting rid of that old desktop computer!! Hehe

Been Out

Yesterday, i met up with my high school friends again! well...not the whole class, just us...a small group of friends =) and we bumped into our F3 science teacher too. guess you can call that an unplanned reunion hehe anyway, there was a lot of catching up, laughs and teasings (as always!).

Thanks to Erah...and she treated us for lunch! =D She just came back from Sydney, and...after one semester of not seeing her, she's still the same. Her jokes are still not funny! And the fact that it's not funny and she laughs at it makes the whole thing funny! Now that reminds me of the time she tried to make a joke when she first met her Chemical Engineering mates...nobody laughed. Uhuh~ embarrassing...i know.  HAHA...that girl's gonna kill me if she knows i wrote about her in my blog. And i haven't even mention her 'magnet' incident in Physics class when we were in college! HAHAH~

Oh yeah...had a Korean Culture Club beach barbecue today. Ermm~ it was okayyyyy. I have officially become roasted. You see.....this is why a lot of Bruneians (especially girls) don't like going to the beach! It makes you DARK! I don't mind turning dark...i just don't like the sunburnt pain. YAggH! But i didnt get sunburned today! Yay! i was careful of staying under the shades...all because i didnt put on any sunblock hehe 

Ah~ well, there's not much to talk about the beach barbecue. Nothing interesting happened. I wasn't close with any of the people there so, most of the time I'm well-hidden in my shell. Don't ask me why i went. My house was SOOOOO close to the beach...there's no good reason why i couldn't go. So there you go. It wasn't exactly boring...it wasn't really enjoyable either. 

Dunnoh~ just couldn't click with them...no common interest maybe? Or...maybe haven't known them well enough. Whatever it is, I just couldn't open up to people I don't know. 

It's either i'm very quiet or I'm very loud. 

Ah~ my arms are really tired now.

I didn't take any pictures so, no pictures posted again today! And...i haven't worked out how yet LOL. Dang, I'm bad with computers.

Ah Ah...i haven't cleaned up my room yet. Tomorrow...tomorrow....hehe

 

After one week of holiday

*YaWn* yess... B O R I N G!! ugh~ what a way to spend vacation! i've been slacking at home for one week now! i'm going KK (Kota Kinabalu) at the end of this month!! weehee~ can't wait!! huhu i bought a new korean drama to watch over the holidays so it's filled up my time a bit....actually, for the whole day! That's the thing with dramas. They're so ADDICTIVE! Once you watch, you can't stop! Beats facebook... :P

The drama i'm watching is called 마녀우희 (Yuhee, The Witch). I bought it coz Kim Jeong Hoon is in it! I think he's cute! @.@ I don't like his role in the drama though...BAD guy! Ah~ but with that adorable sad-looking face of his, you just can't help....not hating him. LOL...kawaii! >.< 

Besides Jeong Hoon, that drama has brought back a lot of memories to me. There are scenes from the N-Seoul Tower and Everland...places we went when we were in Korea T.T 가고싶어! 

Rides we went on in Everland, the parade thingy, the view from the Seoul Tower...they showed it all in the drama! Oh! And the Everland Safari busride too! I remember the bears~

Uwaa~~ makes me wanna go back there! T.T 내친구들은 보고 싶어요~

I wanna go Korea I wanna go Korea I wanna go Korea I wanna go Koreaaaa~~~

TESL...what's the big deal?

Before i talk about what i want to talk about today, i have an announcement:

Yahooooo~~!!! EXAM IS OVER!!

Not that the whole 2 weeks of exam was torturing, i was getting sick of...not studying =.= feeling guilty of not studying, to be exact! i just couldn't get into the geek-mood! i think i've been influenced by Sharen! i just stared into the book/paper as if i'm studying...but my mind was elsewhere~ finally! no more assignments...no more boring 'academic writings' to do and read! Horray! ^^

ah...anyway, over the revision week (and exam week) i've seen lots of people getting frustrated with studying! they'd go "AAAHHHHH!!! SO STRESS!!!" 

then i'd say "what's the big deal? who asked you to memorize? it's better if you just understand what you're learning."

This is where they start getting on my nerves....

"I wish I had taken TESL...it's so easy!"

WHAT? You think just because it's ENGLISH, it's easy. You think it's like primary school or secondary school English? Fill in the blanks with the correct word, do comprehension questions, write compositions that kind of stuff? 

We do have rules and theories to learn and analyses to do too, you know!

If TESL is sooooo easy, surely all TESL students can easily achieve First Class Honours...but how often do you see a TESL student getting First Class?

I don't know what all that fuss is about...TESL is just like any other programmes in the university.

What i really don't understand is...

Everytime I tell people my major is TESL, they'd go "WOooO....she's taking TESL!" or "Careful...careful...she's a TESL student!"

WoT? What's wrong with being a TESL major huh?

First they say TESL is easy...then they make a big deal out of me taking TESL as if i have just gone where no man has gone before~ 

people....you are TOTALLY CONTRADICTING yourselves!

It gets on my nerves when you've been working hard to get a good grade then people go and underestimate what you're doing by saying it's E A S Y. 

What makes it even more annoying is that they'd say the total opposite the next time they see you!  "WAA...TESL...steady eh~"

hey! my first entry! i've been reading lots of people's blogs lately that i feel like making one of my own too! (ikut2an!) LoL...so this is the place where i'm gonna talk rubbish, and whoever has nothing to do...you're welcome! 

daym~ i shouldn't be doing this...... =.= i'm having my final exam now...~~ but espeed is tempting me! the evil espeed...it keeps calling me... "may....may....you know you don't want to study...you know it's more fun here~" urgghhh!!! must.....fight.....temptation....

gawd, how i wish i could do that! haha~ anyway, espeed isn't the only temptation. everytime i succeed in fighting the urge to go online. there's always my bed telling me..."you've been tired. you need a rest." and....i'll quietly slip under my blanket and.....*SNOREEEEEE* 

argghh~ it's so difficult to concentrate now. so many temptations~ so many distractions~ so many many stuff. oh yeah...and facebook isn't doing any good. that thing is damn addictive y'know!!! i wonder how i managed to resist all those temptations in the last 2 semesters. 

ok...i think i know what to do. send my laptop to the 'hospital' and stay away from it till my exam finishes! hah! see how you're gonna distract me now! XP
