Today I was thinking about what kind of object would be considered poorly designed that I could carry with me. As a consumer we usually try not to get the badly designed things so it's kind of hard to find something that you might own that is poorly designed because we buy the good things without usually intending to. Or at least in my case I try not to. When I went down to the Studio to maybe find something poorly designed I thought maybe the cups would be good because we usually end up throwing those away to fill a bunch of landfills. But when I looked at the cup I saw that it was 100% compostable or its made of renewable resources. So that idea went out the door!
I came up with another idea though, which I hope no one else thinks of themselves and brings to class on Thursday.
A blog showing my progress through my college career in the pursuit of a degree in Visual Communication (Graphic Design)
About Me
- patientlywaiting
- I am an artist/musician, so I love to express myself in my work. I am studying to become a graphic designer. I can play guitar and sing with a little bit of piano which I learned by ear. I love to read, especially fantasy books and if it makes me a dork I don't care. I believe there can be a life lesson in everything, even my silly little books :)

Design in the little things...
I was walking to class one day, and this may seem weird, but I just picked up a couple of tiny acorns and took them back to my dorm. They were a great example of nature's artistic hand at work, in my opinion. They could easily be taken apart and made into a mini locket, key chain accessory, etc.
