More Birthday Fun

Since my family has 4 birthdays in one week, we always do a big Sunday dinner.  Thanks to Alison for hosting!
Check out Stevens HUGE serving and Thomas's jealous face, haha.  Not quite sure how that one happened!  Thankfully he only ate about half of it.
Steven was sooo happy to get so many lego sets for his birthday.  He was especially happy to start his Hero Factory lego collection (thanks, G & G)!
My actual day was 2 days later.  My mother-in-law took my 2 younger kids while Steven was in school so I could have a day to myself.  I went to breakfast with my parents, got a massage, went to lunch with Adam, picked up Steven, then took a nap while he enjoyed uninterrupted play with his new legos.  Adam made a nice dinner for us all that night.  Perfect day!

6 Years Old!

Happy birthday, Handsome Steven!!!  Steven's birthday was over spring break, so the night before we went to Chili's for dinner (and used a free meal he got with his award at school), and then had Thomas come for a special birthday sleep-over!  In the morning I made pancakes with sausage, and Steven was very particular about what he wanted used for our table centerpiece.
For lunch Grandma took us to Johnny Rockets, and then to see the muppet movie!  Thank you for that special treat!
Daniel was NOT interested in taking pictures, and he actually fell asleep for the second half of the movie!
After the movie we headed over to Grammie and Papa's for Hall cousin time and a yummy birthday dinner.
Instead of a cake, Steven wanted worms in dirt with cookies and cream ice cream.  He was so excited!
We had a birthday moment for Mom, too.  I love that I get to share my birthday week with my sweet little boy!

First Beach Day!

During spring break we spent a day at the beach with a few other moms and kids from our ward.  It was not as warm as promised--in fact, we could literally see fog blowing past our faces--but we stayed for 4 hours and had a great time!

Rebecca was the first to run into the water, and probably lasted the longest of all the kids.  By the last hour or so, though, she was snuggled up and fast asleep until I buckled her into the car.  :)

Proud Mommy

Steven got an award at school!  I decided not to tell him, and I loved seeing the surprised look on his face when they called his name!  Excellence in social studies.  Yay, Steven!!!  (Daniel can't stop talking about that eagle now.)

Around the House...

The kids love when they see a lizard and Daddy is home because it means he will catch it and they can hold it.  Rebecca and Daniel are really the only ones who like to hold the lizards, but we all enjoy seeing them!  (The dirty faces are because we were outside eating popsicles when the kids spotted this little guys)

Naked picture alert!!!  I just think it is such a funny pose!  This cute little boy constantly has us laughing our heads off!
How many cousins can fit on one of Grandma and Grandpa's swings?
Rebecca has been begging and begging to swim in our little pool (that she bought with her own money), so we took the first warm-ish day we could get!

Aren't these babies precious!  My kids LOVE when we get to babysit these cute little twinners.

My kids are constantly snatching my camera to take pictures of their toys and me, haha.

The Perfect Couple

My mom, Cali sisters, and I got to throw a shower for my wonderful cousin Becky to celebrate her marrying the amazing Ryan.  Seriously, this couple is such a match made in Heaven.  We all love them both, and this has been something that I personally have been looking forward to for quite some time.  Soon after Ryan came home from his mission he and Becky met, and they were both smart enough to recognize the other for the incredible person they are.  He came over one night before they started dating and asked us about her--I was so excited I couldn't even sleep!  We took our kids and drove up to Utah for the wedding.  It was more than worth it.  I am so beyond happy for these two, and I can't wait to see what they accomplish together.

Isn't this an awesome cupcake dress???  Thank you, Pinterest!

We had the guests write advice on the picture frames and put date ideas in the can.  There were some good ones!
