Birthdays Are the Best

For our King family celebration of Daniel's and Rebecca's birthdays, I thought it would be fun to have a boy side and a girl side of the table--trying to give them each their own special thing.  They really loved it.

Love this!!!

Oh man, things like this make me so happy.  We gave Grandma a ride to the airport one day and the traffic coming home was pretty nuts.  I pointed out that the temple was coming up and Daniel kept saying, "Temple, Mommy!  Temple!"  I decided to pull off and we had a totally great time looking through the Visitor's Center and walking around the temple grounds.  I am so grateful that this beautiful temple is so close to us and that my kids recognize how special it really is.

On Rebecca's actual birthday we went out to dinner at Chili's.  I let her pick if she wanted me to make something special or to go out, and she picked go out.  This was our first time doing that for a kid birthday, and it definitely won't be our last.

Oh my yumminess!!!

Steven got to have a turn to be the king of the class for 2 weeks.  He was so excited!!!

Halloween and Birthday Fun

Sometimes I let these cute little girls watch a ballerina on the computer after class.  So cute!

We love our annual tradition of going to the pumpkin patch with our Hall fam!

Right after picking our pumpkins, we headed to Grammie and Papa's for some pumpkin decorating and birthday celebrating--we had 4 little people turning a year older!

Thanks for the cool bike, G & P!

We decided to have a family outing to Steven's school fall festival.  It was so much fun!  Steven and Rebecca both tried the rock wall, too--wow!

You can never have too many Halloween parties!  Our ward trunk-or-treat was a blast!

My cute niece made these for Halloween.  I couldn't quite bring myself to eat one, she did way too good of a job.

Getting to dance to the Pirates theme at Grandma's recital is a rare and special treat!

Mmmmmmmm, birthday cupcakes are the best!

I loved that we were able to all get into carving our pumpkins together.  :)

I think Rebecca is giving Anna a pedicure, haha.

Thanks again to Uncle Wayne for being a fantastic soccer coach!

Cathcing Up!

Why do I ever let myself get behind in anything?!  This is my form of a scrapbook, so here goes my effort in recording it all!!!

Grammie and Papa have an awesome zipline, and all of the kids LOVE riding it!

One of Adam's dreams came true: we now own a fish tank!  After one fish giving birth, losing a few fish, buying some new ones; we now have 14 living things in our tank!  It's a blast!

My friend Bonnie (besties since we met in3rd grade!) came for a visit, and she brought her cute little Makayla and Kai to play!  Can't wait to meet her new baby girl who is coming in a few months.  :)

We got to go to cute Lilly's princesses under the sea birthday party!  So sad they don't live here anymore!

Adam and I were picked to be in a Walmart commercial (thanks for the hookup, Brooke)!  We weren't in the final product, but Adam got a free manicure, haha, and we got a combined total of $500 to Walmart!  Just in time for Christmas!!!

Steven and his cousin Thomas had an awesome soccer season.  Steven even scored his first goal (he's more of a defense kind of guy, most of the time)--I think I was more excited than him!

We had fun baking "spiders" and starting to get out all our fun Halloween stuff.

I love these kids and how they love each other!  Oh, btw, the sucker (paci) is gone!!!

I've been teaching ballet at home!  Rebecca loves seeing her friends each week!  We've had one recital, so far, and it was just as short and cute as you'd expect.  Here I am with my ballerinas.  It was super hard to get 7 little girls all in 1 picture--Anna is already running away!

On Tuesdays I take Rebecca and Daniel to see Grandma while Steven is at school.  They love building castles and putting her princesses in them!
