Temples+Weddings=1Full, Fun Saturday!

Our Primary took a temple trip together, and it was so much fun!  We got to watch cool movies about families, walk around the temple, and learn a lot of neat things.  We all loved it!

After the temple, we headed to Chris and Sara's to see them and their cute kids for a bit, then caravanned with them to our cousin Elise's reception.  It was so wonderful to see some of our family we don't get to see very often!  The kids especially loved eating cupcakes and getting to dance!!!

Fun Stuff

The library had a super cool summer program where you got a prize for going each week.  This was a cool recipe for finer paint, along with special paper.  So fun!

She's Alive!!!

Yes, I totally know I'm a 15-year-old girl.  I just love the show so much!  (If you don't know what I'm talking about, you are missing out!!!)

Idaho Family Reunion

We got to spend our 4th of July in Idaho for a fantastic Hall family reunion.  We did tons of fun stuff!  We saw a cool parade, swam in the pool, rode Grandfather's horses, and much more!  The kids keep asking when we can go back.  I hope it's soon!

A highlight was going to see Grandmother's grave. Adam was
the only one in our family who was able to go to her funeral, so
it was really special for the kids and I to get to visit her.  Rebecca
did not want to be in the picture, and she was really sad for quite a
while that afternoon.  She constantly asks me when we will get to
see Grandmother again.  Sweet girl.

Garth and Diane went all out on the toys for our crowd--they
even bought a bounce house!!!

The zoo had a super cool drinking fountain!

The kids loved following this penguin all around the zoo--how
cool is that?!

Grandfather topped off the weekend with a yummy lunch out for
all of us.  What a treat!

Great Minds Think Alike

Think these two are related?  We always thought it was so cute and funny that Steven loved lining up everything, and now Daniel does it, too!

Family Fun

After the Dodger game, we got to spend the rest of the weekend together--a mini family reunion.  It was perfect!  Also, my cousin Kelley was married in the beautiful Newport Beach temple the next day.  So wonderful!

Trisha got this for me--love her!!!

Ain't no party like an O'Brien party!

National Anthem at Dodger Stadium

A few years ago my mother wrote an amazing arrangement of the National Anthem.  Since then, she, my sisters, and I have sung it at various events from family reunions to political fundraisers.  My mom has always thought it would be fun to get to sing it for a Dodger game.  I finally thought, "It doesn't hurt to ask, right???"  So I did!!!  And her/our dream came true!  We got to sing all together for Mormon Night at Dodger Stadium in the end of June.  Elder Holland came to throw the first pitch, and it was so great to meet him and shake his hand!  Trish doesn't live out here, so she drove her whole family out!  Nathan flew out for the fun and for his birthday (we sang on his very day!).  Also, Jer was close by with his fam for a family reunion, so we had our entire family here!!!  It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience that none of us will ever forget!!!

Our personal cheering section was wayyy up there!

The rest of the night was awesome!  We hung out all together, talked, ate good baseball food, and watched a fabulous fireworks show.  It was so much fun, we almost didn't even care that the Dodgers lost.
The kids were really excited to see us!  And they loved seeing
us on the tv (jumbo-tron)!!!
