Happy Mothers' Day!!!
I love being a mom! I love my three beautiful kids! I love Adam and that he is such a wonderful dad! Yesterday was really great. Ironically enough, both of our moms (who live within 20 minutes of us) were in Texas, so that changed things up a bit. Still, it was a truly fantastic day. Adam let me sleep in, then he brought me breakfast in bed (yummy oatmeal with agave and almond milk--just the way I like it), and the kids carried in beautiful red roses and a sweet picture Rebecca drew of all my kids. Rebecca had her breakfast with me. It was pretty fun having that girl time. Church was so fun, and we were even on time, for once! The Primary children sang (Rebecca suddenly got nervous, but Steven did a good job a plunked himself right in the front so I could see him), the Bishop gave a great talk about how wonderful women are, we got AMAZING chocolate and cinnamon rolls and presents, and all the women were able to go to Relief Society. I LOVE Relief Society and sometimes miss it when callings take me elsewhere so the Mothers' Day lesson is one I always look forward to. We had a fun, low-key dinner at Alison's house--yummy pancakes, French toast, and sausage. Thanks, Ali! The whole day was just perfect. I got to relax, eat good stuff, hear about how great I am because I'm a woman, and--best of all--enjoy my family. Loved it.

Disneyland!
Rebecca was the most excited about the Sleeping Beauty castle, especially since we got to walk through it. :)
A couple of weeks ago my sister-in-law and niece came into town. We did a ton of awesome stuff while they were here. I think the biggest highlight was that my mother-in-law took all of us moms and older kids to Disneyland!!! Thank you, Mom! We had a wonderful day!!!
Steven LOVED Star Tours--the Star Wars ride! I told him about it the night before so he decided to wear his R2D2 and C3PO shirt. We went on the ride twice!
There were so many new ducklings swimming around in the Storybook ride water. Their feathers were so fluffy and they were so cute and tiny!!!
Chip and Dale live here!
Steven and Brooklynn were the only ones tall enough for Splash Mountain. Steven and I got really wet, but we loved it!

Our Garden
We are trying really hard to be somewhat self-sufficient in growing our own vegetables. Look at all our hard work!!! We have some beautiful plants growing! I've already snipped some basil a few times when I've been cooking.
Bunco Night
I have never played Bunco before, so when Lauren invited me to sub in her group I was pretty excited. It is definitely very fun! I think I get a little to competitive and anxious, though, haha! The hostess had a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme. So fun!!!
Fudgey brownies and diamond white chocolate!!! Audrey Hepburn would be so pleased!
The Temple
In February my family did the coolest thing, ever! We had at least one member of the family in the temple every possible day of the month. On Sundays we would take turns going to the temple grounds and Visitors' Center. We got to take our kids twice on Sundays, and we signed up to go ourselves every Wednesday. We picked one Wednesday to take turns going in so that we could travel down as a family and really have some quality time there with our kids. When I was outside with them we took a walk around the temple. We talked about how special it is and that it is Jesus and Heavenly Father's house. I remember a conference talk on temples a few years ago. He (was is President Monson? Elder Holland???) said to take your children to the temple--even before they are old enough inside. He also said to have them touch the temple and feel how special it is. We walked up to touch the temple. It was a cold day and the outside is made of rock, but it still seemed warm being right outside the temple walls. Steven put his hand against it and said it felt comfortable. I am so grateful for the precious angles that Heavenly Father sends to Earth. They teach us so much.
