Baby Hulk and His Brave Big Brother

Daniel is HUGE!!! Seriously, this kid. He turned 6 months yesterday, so today we had the dreaded check-up with shots. I swear, the only cool thing about those is that I love finding out the growth stats for my kids. At his 4 month visit, Daniel was in the 98% for height. Today he was off the charts! And how is there an off the charts, anyway? I think that is kind of bogus. Still, it is pretty cool. :) His weight is in the 60%s, and his head in the 80%s. Respectable. Oh, and his first tooth showed up on Friday, followed quickly by tooth number two, which showed up today! Steven and Rebecca did not get teeth until they were around 11 months old. This is going to make meal times super fun...
Since Steven just turned 4 and was due for a visit, himself, we decided to make it one long appointment, and what a marthon visit it turned out to be! Both boys had 3 shots. As if that wasn't enough, they told us that Steven also had to get blood drawn and provide a urine sample. Joy. Steven was so, soooo brave with his pokies (just a few tiny tears), but when he found out he had to do one more than he was told, he was really angry. To make matters worse, we had to do the blood and urine in the lab--the wait was FOREVER! I kept hoping someone would take pity on a mom with 3 little kids and let us cut in line. No such luck. We waited for almost an hour. Needless to say, all of us deserved a treat! Thank goodness Lady Di does $1 cookie Mondays. Subway is right next door, so we shard a tuna footlong and some chips for lunch. All that and the fact that Rebecca woke up at 5:30 am, saying there were animals in her bed, makes for one tired mommy. Enough sitting down, though, I have an overflowing laundry basket, floors to vacuum when Rebecca wakes up (at least one of us got a nap), and 2 kid rooms to mega-organize. Good luck to me! (Adam, hurry home!!!)
P.S. Steven is 40 inches tall and 40.6 lbs. Rebecca wanted a turn, too (she even felt left out on the shots!), so she measured up at 30 lbs. and 34.5 inches tall. My cute kids are growing, growing, growing! Slow down!!!

2 Peas in a Pod

These little girls are so cute! They are looking more and more like each other, too! Rebecca and her cousin Anna totally ADORE each other. We all love that they both randomly got this amazing dark, curly hair! What in the world? None of us have ever had that! (By the way, notice the beautifulgarden my parents have!)

Easter

I love Easter! I love the newness of spring, the tastey treats (particularly the Hershey eggs), the bright new clothes everyone wears to church, the excuse to make several different kinds of rolls to eat in 1 day. It is almost easy to forget the reason we celebrate Easter, even though every aspect of it represents new life and the Atonement. I am so grateful for our Savior. I love that Steven prays that he is thankful that Jesus died and then got not dead again so that we could be together forever.

We celebrated Easter with our Hall family on Saturday, then our King family on Sunday. With those and a Primary Easter party, our kids ended up to be pretty pro at egg hunting. They got into the dyeing this year, too. We had our Go-Go cousins over earlier in the week to decorate eggs and make super cute sheep out of pound cake and marshmallows. :)

Oh, and check out these amazing creations that people far more clever than I shared with us this year! My neighbor showed me that there is actually a reason for Peeps to exist. And, see that tree stump with the cute bunny bum sticking out? The inside is a huge rice krispie treat!!!

Bright Eyes

Daniel is such a sweet, precious, easy-going baby. Because of that, I am afraid he is left alone way more than the other two were, and it makes me so sad! I love having three kids, but it really is special to be able to devote so much time when you just have one. I am so grateful I was able to have a lot of one-on-one time with him during the first couple of weeks, thanks to all the awesome family we are so blessed to live by.

Daniel is almost 6 months old! I still think of him as my tiny baby, but he will be eating solid foods soon, and he already rolls all around, jumps like crazy in his seat, and even opens his mouth and grabs my face when I say kisses. We all love this baby!
