Rise and Shout, the Cougars Are Out! (Summer Travels, Part 2B)

While we were in Provo, the kids and I went to BYU. It was so much fun to take a walk around campus, eat some amazing Creamery treats, and put my kids in some BYU gear. Steven had a hard time remembering the name BYU for a while, so he kept calling his new shirt his ABC shirt--so cute!
Rebecca was crazy about the ice cream, and Steven LOVED the chocolate milk. I had an amazing BYU brownie ice cream sudae. Yum! :) After our treats, we went to meet Cosmo. Both of the kids loved him, but Rebecca wasnt quite feeling up to getting close enough for a picture.

Summer Travels, Part 2 of 4

Before we headed out of town to Utah, we took a cousin field trip to Alison's office at NBC/Universal. We were pretty impressed with her big window and sweet view (although it made us a little dizzy being so high up). Clearly, the kids all loved her office and got right to work there--they also loved thinking that she was in charge of Curious George, himself.
Why does Steven look so disgusted in this picture? His sweet Aunt Trisha actually tried to pat his head and say hello--super social moment. ;)
Once we headed to our many events in Utah, we stopped to visit the Robbins--our best friends from our Provo ward. We loved seeing them and their beautiful new home, although we seriously miss living right across the parking lot from each other.
Next we headed for Weber State in Ogden, where we had our second tri-annual reunion for all the descendants of my grandparents Russell and Alberta O'Brien. We had such a blast, and I completely blew it when it cam to taking pictures.
After the reunion Adam went home and the kids and I headed to Provo for a couple of days. We had a blast meeting up with my friend Bonnie and her cute girl Makayla.
We also loved getting together with Aunt Cindy and her kids and grand kids. She had the coolest slip and slide, ever! The kids all loved it, and us moms loved getting to sit and watch while Tia jumped right into the wet fun with all our kiddos.

Some pictures just need to be shared...

Happy Birthday, Nathan!

We had so much fun celebrating Nathans birthday with a big bowling bash. It was especially awesome that it was right during the Kruger visit, so we had almost the whole family there.
The little kids were hilarious the way they hoisted the huge balls around, acting like they knew just what they were doing.
Happy birthday, Nathan, the rock star of bowling! We love you!!!
