Happy Easter!

This picture isn't actually from Easter day, but I thought it was so spring-y, plus Steven wouldn't ever put on his tie to match Rebecca. Boys!

We had a blast on Easter! It was a full, busy, and wonderful day! We started in the morning with breakfast and an egg hunt at the Goeckeritz home. After that was church, then dinner with the Halls. Mom Hall had invited all of her family in the area, and it was really special to be able to spend time with some of the wonderful Bennions we don't get to see as often as we'd like. We ended the day with a quick stop by the Kings' to say hello and have one more quick hunt. Rebecca picked up on how to find eggs pretty quickly. Our kids had quite the candy stash, when all was said and done.

I love Easter. I love the new life and spring time that it represents. Most of all, I love that it is a chance to celebrate our Savior, His love for us, and the fact that He conquered death and made it possible for us to be with the very families we celebrate with forever.

Deep in the Heart of Texas!

The kids and I were sooo lucky to be able to visit our family in Texas in January. It was a total miracle that we were able to go--I had been praying every night to be able to visit our family there, and one day a rebate check from my obgyn showed up for almost the exact amount (within $10) that it cost for our flights. Adam was especially awesome to let me use the money for a Texas trip since he couldn't even go.
We decided to stay with my sister Trisha and her family. It was perfect because she lives in Austin, pretty close to Adam's brother's family, and she and my brother Jeremy who's in San Antonio meet in the middle for visits all the time.
The Krugers were incredible hosts! Trisha made amazing food and cookies, Will watched the kids while we went and got pedicures, the kids played with mine non-stop, and so much more. They also took us to a ton of fun places. We met up with the Halls at the outlets, then again at a children's museum. We went to Hoppin' House where they had all kinds of fun inflatable slides and bounce houses. We met the Kings at another children's museum. Trisha even took us out to a yummy French breakfast on our last day. We also celebrated Jean's and my mom's birthday with the Kings, and just had loads of fun simply being together.
We truly had an amazing time! I hope this will be an annual event, although next time I hope Adam can come--not only will I be traveling alone with 3 tiny kids if he doesn't, but he also makes it even more fun.
