Baby Anna

New Year's Eve was quite exciting for us--my sister Cheralyn was in the hospital delivering a baby!!!

The kids hated leaving Cher at the hospital, but they were excited to know they would come back to a new baby!

We tried to make New Year's Eve as fun (and distracting) as possible. Nathan made awesome funnel cakes, and I made waffles with the Hall recipe for creamed turkey--yum!!! We also made an indoor trampoline of sorts. With the rain, times the kids were sick, and it just being too cold and dark to go outside, this has become a favorite activity of mine.

Listening to their baby's cry for the first time!
Cheralyn and Wayne decided to have the baby's gender be a surprise, so nobody knew it was an "Anna" until all the kids held and fell in love with her first. Happy new year to all, and happy birthday, beautiful Anna Caroline!!! 1/1/11!!!!!!!!!!

One Year Older and Wiser, Too...

...Happy birthday (clap) to you!!! Tuesday was Adam's 26th birthday. We still feel like we are in high school, but apparently we keep on getting older. His parents sent us to dinner at Ruth's Chris and then West Side Story on Saturday. Man, that restaurant is amazing!!!!!!!! I have never had a fillet just melt in my mouth like it did there.
Thanks to some mold problems in our house, Adam is staying with friends and the kids and I are out of town at my parents' house. Bummer. We decided to meet in the middle at Cafe Rio (yes, there is one in Oxnard! Woot! Woot!) for birthday dinner. The kids loved seeing their long-lost daddy, and it was great to be together for a little bit!!!
