Final Fun in Provo

Our very last outing in Provo was to go to Thanksgiving Point. We were able to meet up with our friends the Brandts from our ward and have a picnic. It was so beautiful--we went right in the middle of the tulip festival week! We are really going to miss all of the wonderful friends and family we have in Provo, and we are so sad to not be right by all the fun and inexpensive activities that Utah has to offer.

Vegas Vacation

During our trek to move from Utah to California, Adam and I stopped in Las Vegas for two days. On our way down we stopped to see our Heideman cousins in St. George. It was so great to get to see them, especially since we are going to be living a lot farther apart now, so we won't get to as often. We had such a great time in Vegas! We stayed at the Luxor which was so great! We loved that it was on the strip, but at the end of it so that it wasn't right in the middle of all the craziness that goes on. For his graduation present, Adam's parents had gotten us tickets to see the Blue Man Group and O. Both were so incredible!!!We also spent some time at the Shark Reef Aquarium. They had a ton of sharks, plus a crocodile, paranas, a Kimodo dragon, and so much more. We really loved it!I was so excited to find that there is now a Serendipity 3 restaurant in Vegas. For those of you who don't know it, it is so amazing! The main one is in New York City, and the third one is in Boca Routon. Of course we had to go there and share a Frrrrrrozen Hot Chocolate!!! The whole weekend was a blast!

Adam's Graduation

We will now have 2 BYU diplomas to hang on our wall!!! Congratulations to Adam for finishing his BS in Landscape Management! Seriously, though, I have been so in awe of how hard Adam works on school. For those of you who have not lived with me and gotten to know my study habits, I basically don't have any. I once told my family that I went to college for social experiences and performance opportunities. I know it sounds cliche, but I really do wish I had worked harder and taken full advantage. Adam sure did. And not only was he an amazing student, but he was always so on top of what scholarships and grants he would be able to get. Without all his hard work, no way would we be able to afford living in Santa Barbara. He is truly the best!!! Congratulations, Babe! And thanks for always being so amazing!!!
Our Hall parents came up for graduation weekend. Dad Hall was so nice and offered to drive back to California with our moving truck. I was especially grateful for this as long road trips are scary enough to me without being in a huge truck with massive blindspots. Mom Hall flew back to California with Steven. This was so nice and so perfect. Adam and I were able to spend the weekend with just the two of us in Vegas--one huge, awesome date! It was really hard for me to not have Steven with us, but it was also good for both him and me to see that we can leave each other for a little bit and the world will not fall apart (I still feel like it will, but at least it didn't this time). Thanks, Mom and Dad! Oh and they also took us and Matt and Christa's family out to dinner at the incredible Tucano's to celbrate Adam's graduation. So good!!!

Another Birthday

After Steven's birthday came Mommy's. That's right, our birthdays are only 4 days apart! My mom came up for the week to be there for my birthday and have some fun with us towards the end of our life in Provo. She took us to the most amazing restaurant in Provo: Chef's Table. Yum!!! She also helped us a ton with getting started on our packing. Steven loved spending time with Grandma--we all did!!!
My cousin Heather brought her little boy over for a few minutes that week, too. She was so cute to bring me a treat on my birthday, even though they were also getting ready to move--they are in Ukraine for an internship this summer! Crazy!!! We will really miss getting to see David, Heather, and Taylor!
