12 days on Tekong ... 7 on the fields and 5 at coyline ...
An experience you won't forget ... An experience like no other ...

I used to believe with my experience and exposure I would had survived army life in a breeze ...
But I came to realise ... the experience is different everytime for so many factors ... Injuries being my greatest enemy this time ard ...

7 days in the feilds have proven and reminded me that I'm not of 100% physical condition nor of psychological readiness to face the elements of nature and a general lack of equipment usage due to tactical reasons.

Well it was fun ... tiring ... new experience ... Tormentous is not seriously the word to use ... Tough times don't last ... Tough men do ... How true ... How true ... So now we all await tougher times to come and go my dear brothers apache HA ...

I find my thoughts always all over the place ... I apologise

Relationships ...

Okie ... not complaining abt the pain and trauma and all the other emotional as well as physical discomforts relating to my injury anymore ? Not exactly ... Just thought I'd give it a break for now ... (Since its broken ... I can only do that much)

Rite ... Anywayz ... I'd like to acknowledge and show appreciation to my love for being there even when times are hard ... Surfing through websites and talking to friends ... very so often you bump into a friend whos stuck in a rut in their relationships be it with friends or loved ones ...

Looking into the situation ... I'm no expert ... I simply avoid conflicts ... taking the extra step back so that everything can remain calm ... whether thats a good thing is very subjective ... somebody thinks that makes me boring ... others think its at the expense of my pride and people's respect for me ... but I think it preserves the neccessary peace ... expenses and sacrifices are to me but the price peace ... Yet I will agree that torlerance has to have its limits ...

Well ... I don't understand how issit many people fail to appreciate their gf/bf when the ones doing the compromise is apparently not them? So much more I would like to say but I will not ...

Like I say I'm no expert, I'm learning as well ... everybody needs to be related to in a different way ... and learning to relate to each is a process that will take time and effort

I don't stuff for nothing ... So people try to understand ... compromise when neccessary and appreciate what you have ... before you lose it ...

Recovery ...

Okiez ... heres a first but I would like to publically thank the lord and savior for his tireless aid for even his most unworthy subjects (i.e. Me)
I'm set on the road to recovery ... fast BUT I need faster =x I know i ask for too much sometimes BUT I really need faster !!!
Well ... Hid and XJ dropped me a visit with dinner last nite ... guess that helps abit =) Had a nice long talk with him ... Its been awhile haha
Expecting my love to drop by soon ... hope everything turns out well =)
Oh well back to camp tonite ... 18 15 hrs Life sux ... I won't mind 1/2 as much If I CAN ACTUALLY TRAIN =OH well ... Pray hard ... Wed is review by the specialist and I'll find out exactly whats wrong with me ...

Official Bookout day was yesterday ... Everybody was happy ... I was happy (for awhile) ... Everybody's GF ... Family was at whitesands waiting to receive their tired NS boy ... Daddy came but I was much more than simply tired from training ... retired more likely =<

Haiz ... Sunday ... I should be out with mich ... enjoying the limited timeframe of my bookout ... but all I've been doing (able to do) is to sit on my bum praying and having a roller coaster ride on the emotion highway ... Miss Mich ... Trying to be optimistic ... Feeling down right low with the injury ... Trying to be optimistic ... Pulled back down by the idea of a recourse ... Trying to be optimistic ... Missing Mich ... and the whole shit goes on =<

U know drugs would be an absolutely good idea if i were actually dumb (or depressed enough) ... WHAT AM I TALKING ABT ARGHZ .... -_-

Nv felt so low since ... I don't know ...

Day 3 of Attend C

I'm due back in camp today ... Conditions seems to have stablized and slowly recovering ... I can walk (or rather limp) without absolutely excurciating pain ... But swelling is still there and movement is limted without my clutches (not that it isn't with them -_-") Haiz ... feeling like a bloody handicap ...

Oh well on the lighter note ... lix, jeremy, kitty & Bf dropped me a surprise visit yesterday =) Really touched they guys actually spent their precious book out hours to visit me when they could had spent it on so many other things ... thanks people =) Appreciate it

And Michelle dearest sent me a picture of golden nuaing =) My My hasn't she grown bigger ...

Last hours Of Civilian Life as I know it ...

Well ... Last hours of Civilian life at least for the next 2 years ~

Heres a few words on what happened in the past weeks

I tried to spend as much time with mich as we both could possibly afford =)
We went to chinese gardens where we made some turtles and tortoises friends and raced down pagodas ... Met my friends, Her friends and also spent some time at the cinemax theatres at good ol' science centre =)

I'm looking forwards to book out already ... Missing mich enough as it is ...

That Classical Carot Ring Joke from Alex =)

Alex was on a holiday trip to thailand with some friends.
They went to visit many places including the night markets and other famous attractions.
He calls his wife as he departs from the Thai Airport for home and says:
"Honey ? How have you been ? I'll be home tml and oh I bought a 3 carrot ring"

Mrs. Alex was all excited and went to meet him at the airport with a big tub of Alex's fav KFC.

They met at the airport, she carried his luggage while he enjoyed his meal.

Excited and anticipating Mrs. Alex tried to remain patient. But to not avail. She finally burst out "wheres the ring!?! wheres the ring!?!"

During dinner, the young man is sitting with his girlfriend on his left, the sister on his right and the mom facing him. When the dad gets there,the boy lowers his head and starts praying:

A minute later the boy is still praying: "Thank you Lord for your kindness..."
Ten minutes past and the boy is still praying, keeping his head down. The others look at each other surprised and his girlfriend even more than the others. She gets close to the boy and tells him in his ear: "I didn't know you were so religious!!!"
The boy replies:
"I didn't know your dad was the pharmacist !!!"

Lesson ? Go make sure your girlfriend's dad isn't a pharmacist. If he is check the outlet he works at =P

Memories & Legacies

Was juz mentioning that camp this year proved to be nothing Big for me this year. But as I was google-ling the phrase "LSCT FOC" that i realise the same excitment that overwhelmed me back when I was a freshie.
I guess from the pioneering batches of LSCT FOC and its now well established 8th Generation. The LSCT Society and its renowed GLs have made their impact on LSCT students ever-since founding. Without fail if you google the very terms "LSCT" or "FOC", blogs, personal websites and even public forums and school directories will contain documentations and testimonials to Ngee Ann's Freshmen Orientation Camp by the School of Life Sciences and Chemical Technology (Be it positive, neutral or otherwise)
For a single faculty with an orientation camp. I guess we had made quite the impressive hallmark to the faculty. As blogged "when u think of life sciences in NP, u think of LSCT GLs".
Past Present Future ... I guess having said all I had ... It all sounds like juz another advert or ego statement in favor of the organization I once served with pride or otherwise -winkz-
BUT ...
I must say that my years in NP ... my years with the LSCT society has amounted to more than juz getting oriented, getting comfortable and getting new friends.
NO ... its much more ...
As the society grows in membership over the years, so does my circle of friends and experience. Yet its not with age that you gain this benefit ... U inherit the entire culture, the entire network, the entire history =)

Passing phase in life ? Maybe ... But FOC is like an additive drug ... it leaves u craving for more ... Freshie --> GL --> SGL --> AGL

Tuesday 25th April 2006 : 3 days to end of working ... 4 days to end of April ... 6 days to 1 mth count-down to THE ARMY ... 9 days to seeing Mich again =)

I guess my life is getting mundane ... plain ... routine ... 1 mth ... I wanna make it exciting fun filled ... I want to spend time with MICH ! Haiz ~
But of coz as is all things in life ... Nothing always falls in place nicely when you want it to ... Oh well ...

Heres the layout of what I hope to achieve:
Jog & Gym: 3 times a week
Jog & Sports: 3 times a week
Holiday: 3D2N - KL
CampOut: 2D1N
Cycle: At least once
Kayak: Once is good
Movies: Clear as many as I can =)
Friends: Meet Up with as many as possible
Michelle: See at least twice a week
Fencing: At least once (poor Elemeire is rusting away)

Yea that would be a minimum listing to fill to get me smiling before the Army =)

Enough talk abt a future that no one can be sure of. Lets update on what actually has happened recently. Hmnm ... technically just too lazy to blog. Not that many things have happened since the last update though HaHa

LSCT Freshmen Orientation Camp 06/07
Perhaps one the the slackest camps I've attended thus. Not much was done on my part except at Nite Games, generally I spent most of my time slacking with brian ard the campus enjoying the last bits of Ngee Ann while we're waiting for army intake.

Work
Well we all know this is never the fun thing. Spend most of my time working on admin stuff no body can find time to do or plainly too lazy to clear.

Stuffs
Well managed to meet up with a couple of Old Friends. Started with Mr. Lau Seo Heng. Nice long chat over a cup of tea which last us from 9 30pm thru 1 am at karim. This guy and I never really were more than just accquaintances but we found our topics somehow.
Then over the last weekend managed to meet up with Joyce for a nice chat and Fucai to follow after at the pool tables.
Oh Yes ~ Sis got married last weekends =) Saw daddy burst out into tears for the first time ... HaHa quite touching ... Realised she has a wonderful smile and yea she look gorgeous ... Have a wonderful honey moon Sis =)

My dear Michelle juz lost her thumbdrive... Don't be too sad ok love ? Alot of people lose their thumbdrives ... thats the problem with technology, they keep getting smaller and tempts you to keep more stuff in them but the thing is small is portable but also forgettable. Ha ~
Chill rite dear ? If you need another one I can have mine for the time being =)
As Murphy's law goes ... when something shit happens ... they pile up ...

NS coming into a life near you ~

NS days are fast becoming a reality for me with each word i type and with each passing sec. I can feel the stress and time continues ticking pass. My life is a ticking time bomb. Very soon June 2 is gonna be here and Life as I know it is all gonna change.
Gonna terminate my services with my temp job by end of April and start working out intensively this time seriously. 2 mths is all I have and I'm gonna make this 2 mths good. =( For some reason after all that mental prep I find myself at rock bottom on the emotional scale eversince that letter arrived. Haiz ~
Sitting in office now ... Waiting for calls (which are trickling in) ... Wondering what i should plan for the nite. Today is the 3rd of April, marking day 1 of my 2 remaining mths. Hmm ... Maybe i should catch a movie.
Oh and someone juz commented on my work attitude ... Great ... I know I don't exactly have the best of attitude when it boils down to punctuality I'm not the best of candidates but I commit to my duties and I ensure their completions on time !!! okie done ~ juz wanted to let out ...

Procastinating

Sitting in the office now ... Tired and not in a mood to start typing in the endless survey results ... Just finished up with the call list of 210 clients which brought me through over 300 calls -_-"
Chewing on the "suan mei" candy sweetie mailed me =9 Haven't had one of these for ages ~ Thanks love.
Someone just told me that singaporeans are weird ... Well I'm not sure abt that but this call centre & all its daily activities surely are ...
Jane just mute her line and swore again -_-" not something rare here of coz everybody mutes and swears but will always sound friendly over the line ....
And Si Hui juz received a call from the police, apparently someone called them to inform us that our vehicle lights are on and he was concerned that our battery might run flat ... How nice -_-"
For me ... I'm sitting waiting for the weekly Bingo Game to start ... while procastinating to start on data entry ... HaHa what an office!
Once again I really should be starting on work. But ... LoL

Cisco D&D was yesterday to be strict ... near 6 hours of time spent with young adults ~ with me feeling a tad kiddo ~ amongst the very adult environment yet I found that at whichever level people tend to act casual ... I would say "the same" with conversation topics aside ...
Quite obvious that "xiao di di" here has limited attention from the group but I wasn't totally neglected thanks joo teng and yang yang =) But with no less credit to my IPR abilities which i muz add has been going downwind since year 1 in poly... ( no idea why exactly but i can't seem to strike a conversation as easily as i used to =x )
All that aside ~ Food was good but i still prefered LCST's D&D buffet, Entertainment was professional without a doubt with mr. flying dutchman bringing the house down.
On the whole i would say in the past 2 days my very first hotel style D&D experiences were different and enriching ~ Cisco hanging on the adultish, professional and costly side with a low price on tickets and LSCT with a more young, casual and less costly yet higher priced ticketing.
Go figure ~ I'm confused myself ...
After D&D was another first ... Ministry Of Sound (MOS) my first clubbing experience ... Started a little conservative on my part but things went well ~ Met the younger crowd of HR & Sales made a few new acquaintances and learned that "dancing" is no more than moving ard on the super crowded dance floor. Everything was good cept the smokey environment and the general house pour being more of beer =x
We did stop at the introbar before moving to MOS ... BUT that was a short stay with a taste of the Singapore Sling ~
Don't know what I'm gonna tell folks at home with regards to the clubbing experience but no regrets ~ Gotta try stuff while I'm y0ung thought i've doubts of going clubbing again anytime soon ... HaHa
