Dinner and a Movie
Thursday Lee took me to see the movie Jane Eyre. I recently read the book and now consider it one of my favorites. Lee, however does not care for it much, but he was so good to take me to see it. I really enjoyed the movie. It is a little vague in regards to some of the plot details but it is an artistic portrayal of the story.
Then on Friday night Lee endured one more thing for my benefit. He took me to eat at PF Chang's. It is a great Chinese restaurant with a great gluten free menu! Lee does not care for Chinese food but he went there for my benefit. What a good husband!

Lee has Graduated!
Last Thursday and Friday was Lee's graduation from BYU! I am so proud of him and all that he accomplished while working on his undergraduate degree!
We thought it would be nice to have a picture in the announcements we sent out earlier. We also wanted some nicer pictures of us to have around. We went to Utah Lake State Park where we have spent a lot of time the last few years. We got a number of pictures there but this one was our favorite.
We also took a few pics in our front yard. We liked this picture and almost used it but my hair is blowing a little funny.
Now to the actual graduation. Thursday was the main commencement ceremony with the whole university. Lee gathered with all of the graduates in a parking lot while the rest of us (Lee's family and me) fought to get a parking spot and seats in the Marriott Center. We were a little naive in regards to how bad traffic was going to be. Once I found a parking spot, I took of my heels and Lee's brother Caleb and I ran the whole way to the Marriott Center to meet up with the rest of the family and get ours seats. We made it! We got a seat and we were able to watch the procession of graduates. Elder Richard G. Scott was there and gave a very good address. This picture is a view from where we were sitting of most of the graduates while Elder Scott was speaking.
After that ceremony was over we took a couple pictures just outside.
Then on Friday BYU held all the different Convocations for the different Colleges. Before we went to Lee's convocation we took some traditional pictures by some of the signs on campus. This first pic is before we left the apartment.
One with Lee and me!
One with Lee and his parents!
And one with the rest of Lee's family that could be there with us! (Lucas, Lauren, Isabella and Caleb)
Then at the convocation Lee got to sit up on the stand with all the other valedictorians. Yeah, Lee was the valedictorian for the History Department!!! You can see him there in the middle with his really cool valedictorian medal. Lucky for him he didn't have to speak or do anything. Since there are so many valedictorians for the School of Family and Social Sciences they rotate which department provides the speaker.
There he is receiving his diploma from the Dean.
My parents were able to make it to the convocation so we had to get a picture with them too! It is hard to see in this picture but there is a white sash hanging around my neck. That is the stole of gratitude that Lee wore for the ceremonies and then bestowed upon me (he is so nice!!!) to thank me fore all I have done for him while he was getting his degree. He likes to tease me and tell me its called the stole of distraction because I distracted him from his school work too much!
After the Convocation we had a party for Lee back at our apartment with both of our families. For this momentous occasion I made a BYU cake for Lee. This is me with the cake. :) It's not the fanciest cake but for one who doesn't have a lot of cake decorating experience I thought it turned out pretty good. It was quite the experience making it. I was on the phone with my sister, Kelly, asking a lot of questions. It was from her help that it was able to turn out so well.
This is Lee with the cake. :) That is Addison our niece, Amy's daughter, sitting in the middle. She loves hanging out and playing with Lee. Of course that is Lee's dad and Lucas in the picture as well.

Winter fishing
I know we have a lot of posts about fishing but Lee is still enjoying it even with all the snow! He has been ice fishing a few times with Brad, a new friend of his. This is him on a trip to Deer Creek with his brother, Lucas. I think he now sees the value of having a motorized auger. Maybe some day...

Valentine's Day
Lee and I celebrated Valentine's Day on the 15th this year as we were both really busy on the 14th. Since we had hardly nothing going on the 15th we got to spend the whole day together! When we got married we decided we would take turns being "in charge" of Valentine's Day. This year it was my turn. I decorated the apartment with some balloons and a few other things and pretty much made food for us all day. I made crepes for breakfast. They were so good! (I found a great gluten-free recipe online.) I also made a "manly" meal for Lee for dinner, roast and potatoes.
Lee and I also got each other modest gifts. He got fishing stuff (he made sure I knew that men don't get romantic gifts for Valentine's day :) and I got a cuddle wrap and the traditional flowers and chocolates.

Christmas 2010
This December was a busy one for us but we had a lot of fun with a lot of family. To start things off we had to get our tree and decorations up! Lucas and Lauren came over to help. It is always an exciting experience for us to get a Christmas tree put up.

A little update from my life, I was officially diagnosed with Celiac disease on Tuesday. I went in to the docter about a month ago to get some medicine for migraines and we decided we would draw some blood work. We drew a celiac panel with the others not expecting anything and it came back positive. I was extremely surprised by this. Anyway, two weeks ago I had an EGD with a small bowell biopsy and I met with the Dr. on Tuesday do go over the results. Its official!
