Happy Birthday Lee!

So, it was Lee's birthday yesterday, we had a fun night planned. My mom offered to watch the kids while we went on an overnight get-away. We had reservations at the Jefferson Hotel here in Richmond. On our way, the SUV in front of us abrubtly stopped and CRUNCH! Lee hit the back of it and we slid right under! We are OK, other than maybe a little whiplash. So the car was stuck in 5th gear and wouldn't move, so there we were, stuck in the middle lane on the freeway during rush hour. Because of us, traffic was backed way up. We sat there with people honking at us, waiting for the police and hoping we don't get slammed into from the back. Finally the tow truck and police get there, and they pushed us to the side with the tow truck. We then got out and Lee looked over the car with a sad face. A little whimper escaped him everytime a car ran over some debris from the Acura and made a crunching sound. It then began to rain. I got out the umbrella, which was broken and turned inside out, and we waited for the police to write out his ticket for Lee. Then the tow-truck driver asks who is coming to pick us up? We hadn't quite got that far in thinking, so we tell him maybe we'll call a cab. He then offers to give us a ride and we were escorted to the hotel in style! We were so greatful that the kids weren't with us, and nobody was hurt. Things could have been so much worse, my mom was able to come pick us up the next morning and we were able to put the worry off for another day and enjoy our time together. I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life, I know that we were being watched after last night! And Happy Birthday to Lee, this is one we will never forget!

We're so glad when daddy comes home!

Lee is finally home! We have been so happy to have him back, the boys don't want to let him out of their sight. Lincoln doesn't want anybody but Lee! We missed him so much! They had their wrestling championship match on Sunday, it was long overdue. And yes, Lee choose the Superman shirt on purpose!

tender...

Although Lee has been gone, I can't say that I have to sleep alone in a big empty bed, this is what I woke up to this morning, I couldn't resist!

apple orchard

We went to the apple orchard at Carter Mountain, the boys had a lot of fun picking their own apples, going on a hayride, and even climbing a few trees. We miss Lee so much and we only have 4 more days until he gets home!

9 Years!!!

It has been 9 years, they have gone by so fast!!! I am so lucky and blessed that I have such a wonderful husband who takes such good care of us. I can't believe that I am married to the good-looking guy that I met in college and we have 3 beautiful boys! It is really hard to be without Lee especially on our anniversary! I feel so happy to be married to such an amazing man who works so hard and is such a good example for our boys. I seriously am amazed at all he does for us. He is still as much a gentleman to me as the day we were married, I really hope to raise my boys to be just like their daddy so they will grow up to be intelligent, fun, hard-working, and don't forget good-looking!!! Lee, I miss you so much and I can't wait until you get home, we need you to make us complete!

Off to Neverland!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

We had a pretty fun halloween, Mason was captain Hook, Ethan was Peter Pan, Lincoln was a lost boy (skunk), and I was Tinkerbell. We wish Lee could have been here to be Mr. Smee! We all dressed up for the ward trunk or treat, Ma-Jodi was here to be Medusa again, it was fun. On Halloween night, I fixed the kids boiled brains and worms! (green noodles and ham). We just really miss Lee and wish he could be here but I'm sure the month will go fast!

Thankful...

We are so lucky to have such amazing family members who are willing to help us whenever we need them. I have just been amazed at all people do for me and my family. Lee and I feel so blessed and hope that we can always be there for our kids the way that our parents are always there for us. We just feel so loved and know that we always have people we can count on! So this is a shout out to our families and I just feel the need to express my gratitude. I am so thankful for all the wonderful people in my life!
Grandma Jodi made this hand out of Jello!!! The kids thought it was cool.
