Nothing New!

So, I haven't posted in a month! Nothing really new going on here. We are still waiting on the house to start being built. We have decided to change subdivisions and house plans, but still with the same builder. The house we are building now is a 4BR/2.5BA with a gameroom. I went Saturday to pick out the interior. I have decided to put cherry wood laminate floor on the 1st floor. I am really excited for them to get started and see the finished house. Ken's brother, Ryan, flew in from Ohio on Sat. He will be staying with us until the 13th. Lauryn has enjoyed having her "Uncle Ryan" here. It's so cute to hear her say it. I will be turning 32 tomorrow. I still can't believe that I am in my 30s. Friday we are planning a day trip down to Corpus Christi. The Texas state Aquarium is there and we are looking forward to that. Saturday I am trying to make plans to have a cookout, then we are going to Lackland Air Force Base for fireworks show. Sunday, we have tickets to go tot he Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus. I think Lauryn will love it. Lauryn and I are planning a trip to Alabama the day after Labor Day and will stay a week and half or so. We are really looking forward to that. I will be posting pics in the near future of all of our adventures. Hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July.

Sorry to post so many pictures, but this is what we have been spending our time doing lately. We have started going to the pool in the neighborhood where we are building. It is a really nice pool and they have a playground area. This is the first time Lauryn has been in a big pool since she was a year old. I have a feeling we will be going back very often. Lauryn asked to go today, but we took her to the Children's Museum. She had a blast. I thought the HEB grocery market was the cutest. She got to go shopping and run the cash register. These are just a few of the things that we have been doing. I will post more later when they start building on the house.

The last pic is just a random pic we took of Lauryn watching TV. She hates wearing clothes when we are home. I don't make her wear them as we are still working on the potty training. The other pics are from the American Legion Jubilee. Lauryn had a blast on the kiddie rides.

HOUSE

Ok. So since I have last posted, we have got all the paperwork done and we are building a house. This a new subdivision not far from where we are living right now. The subdivision is only a year old. We got to pick our lot and the plans for our house. The house plan we picked is called the Roosevelt. It is 3BR/ 2.5BA with a gameroom. It is 2468 sq. ft. We are really excited. I will be going next week to pick out my interior decor, such as, cabinets, flooring, carper, fixtures, etc. After we pick all this out, they will pour the foundation and start building. The house should be finished at the end of September/beginning of October.
Last weekend we took Lauryn to the American Legion Jubilee here in Converse. She had a blast. She rode all of the kiddie rides. I have pictures, but they are on my other laptop. I will upload them tomorrow. Just wanted to share our good news. We just got the commitment letter about an hour ago, so now we can go ahead and start the building.

Sea World San Antonio

We went to Sea World San Antonio yesterday with our neighbors. We had a great time. We will definitely have to buy the season pass so we can go back anytime. We got to feed the dolphins and the sea lions. These are some pics from the day.

Lauryn's 3rd B-day

My parents came into town last Thursday. We took them to dinner at Sea Island Shrimp House. Friday it rained all day so we didn't really do anything. On Sat. we had Lauryn's party. She had a blast. A lot of the parents from Ken's company brought their kids. I think there was a total of 9 kids. Lauryn also had her new best friend, our neighbor, Noah, here. I rented a moon bounce for the afternoon and the kids went swimming. Lauryn got lots of great presents. I was glad my parents were here to enjoy this day with us. Sunday we went to church, came home and rested, then went on post to Ft. Sam's Fiesta. Lauryn had a blast there also. She rode a mini ferris wheel, jumped on the moon bounce, and rode another little ride. Monday, I took my parents downtown to the Riverwalk. We ate lunch and took a boat tour down the riverwalk. We also went to the Alamo. Here are a few pics of our time with my parents.

HAPPY B-DAY LAURYN!

OK. So my baby turned 3 today. I can't believe it. Where does the time go? She also used the potty the first time yesterday. She pooped in the potty a week or so ago. But not tee-tee or anything else since then. Yesterday, she just decided that she would use the potty I guess. We went out for a while and she had a diaper on then and wouldn't go potty in the store, but she used the potty at the house all day. Today she has had one diaper on. YAY. I am so excited. I am so tired of buying diapers. Other than that, there is not much new. We did finish getting our furniture for the house. The last recliner and rocker chair will be delivered Mon. Once we get everything put together, I will take new pics. My parents are driving out sometime this week. They can't decide what day they want to leave, but they should be here Thurs. or Fri. We are really excited. Lauryn's b-day party is planned for next Sat. I have rented a moon bounce to put out in the back yard. She is getting a swingset for her b-day. Family members have all contributed with Wal-Mart gift cards. So now Ken and I have to go pick one out. Not looking forward to putting it all together though. I will post pics of the house and of Lauryn's 3rd b-day party after my parents leave on the 21st or 22nd. Take care.
