Standing!

Conner is a fast little crawler and an efficient furniture walker.  His newest trick is standing on his own.  I think he would stand for much longer on his own if he did not think it was so much fun to fall and have dad catch him. :-)
He balances himself for a minute, gives you a cute little grin, and falls strait forward expecting you to catch him.  Oh the faith of little children.

Conner's Tongue

This past weekend, Conner accidental bit his tongue.  We are fairly certain that before this slightly painful experience he did not know that his tongue existed.  Ever since his big discovery, we have seen a lot of this:
His language has also expanded from ba ba ba to blah blah blah.  :-)

It is so fun to watch him learn!  We had some friends over for dinner on Sunday.  Conner thought they were pretty funny.  Here is a short clip of his adorable laugh.

Conner's Hat

Two weeks till Christmas, can you believe it!  It has been so much fun preparing for Christmas this year.  I can't believe it is so close.  There is so much I still want to do during the Christmas season.
A friend and I had a craft day and made these adorable 2x4 Christmas trees.  Fun fun!  I also convinced Daniel to let me cut up an old textbook of his for the Ho Ho Ho letters.  :-)  He is so supportive of my crafts!
And, since it is cold outside, I decided that I would crochet Conner a hat.  I did not feel like trying to follow a pattern with my meager crocheting skills, so I just did it.  It is bulk, bumpy, and just a little (it might fit him for the next few years) too big for him, but I made it!
We had fun playing the - lets get a picture of Conner in his hat before he takes it off - game.
Here is a little video.  Since the hat is stretchy, Conner had a hard time getting it off.

Shoshone Falls

Shoshone Falls, also known as the Niagara of the West, is about a 15 minute drive from our house.  In the fall, there is very little water due to crop irrigation.  Right now the falls are running at medium-high level, and they are beautiful!
Thursday was a slow day at work, so Daniel got the second half of the day off.  Conner needed an excuse to wear his adorable new coat, so we went to visit Shoshone Falls.
Isn't it beautiful?!  Who says that the Idaho desert is ugly?

Can you guess what Conner wants for Christmas?  A toothbrush!  Look at all those teeth!
I love the colors in the fall.

I am so glad we went.  We had a great time walking around and enjoying the not-too-cold fall weather.

Crawling Around

Our little boy is growing up!  It is crazy how fast he learns.

He can crawl pretty fast (when he really wants to get somewhere).  I borrowed these blocks from my mom.  They are blocks that my mom painted for me and my siblings.

Conner loves taking down the towers we build.  He does not typically destroy the tower, he takes it apart piece by piece.  :-)
He also loves chewing on shoes.
Here is a video of him crawling around and pulling himself up to a standing position.  He loves walking if you hold his hands and move with him.  He does not do a lot of furniture walking (just standing).  He knows it is faster to crawl.

Ok, this video will not upload, but I will try again in a minute.

$1.00 Green Ball

I was in the dollar store with Conner, and we saw a bin full of colorful balls... Yup.  I had to have one.  Not that I am into balls, but I was very excited to watch Conner chase it around the apartment.

I was not disappointed.  That $1.00 was totally worth it.
Look how he just sat and posed for the picture.  Awe.
Isn't he so grown up looking?!  He is crawling all over the place.  He also pulls himself up and stands whenever he gets the chance, and sometimes walks along furniture (very carefully).

It is so fun to watch him learn!  He is learning fast.  I love it.

Our Little Crayon

Happy Halloween!
This year for Halloween I decided that we would be a crayon family.  Daniel is not a huge fan of the scary, gory part of Halloween, so I thought crayons was a pretty safe happy costume.

Our ward had a trunk or treat, so we decorated our trunk to match.  We were a Crayola factory.  :-)  Each of the crayons had a different kind of candy.  I quickly learned that giving kids a choice was a bad idea, but it was a fun learning experience!
I made Conner's costume out of a couple of my old t-shirts.  I thought it turned out pretty cute considering my meager sewing skills.

Fun with Grandma - Go Grizzly's!

Last weekend we took a quick trip to Boise to see Grandma Grant.  She drove up from California with Nana, Aunt Lisa, and Bri to watch Jessica play in the 5a State High School Soccer game.

Grandma Grant made Conner this adorable shirt so that he could be part of the cheering squad.
He did not really like all the noise at first, but he got use to it and did pretty well.  Jessica's team won the game - hurray!  To make it even better, Jess scored the winning goal!!  It was really fun to watch the soccer game.  It made me really want to play again.

It was great to see Grandma and some of Daniel's family.

We drove up to Boise early Saturday.  We stopped to visit my friends Jessica & Jon Fulcher, then met everyone at Mandy's soccer game.  After that game we went back to the Berg's for lunch and a rest before the big game.  Conner was so tired.  Lori tried to keep him awake so that he would sleep better, but sleep won.  I tried to upload a video, but it won't work.  I will try again later.

Crafting with Mom

Do you see these pumpkins?  Do you know what they are made out of?  Paper sacks!  That's right.  I love frugal crafts!
My mother and I found this idea on pinterest, and I was so excited about how simple it was and how cute they turned out.

Daniel went hunting this weekend with my dad, brother, and brother in law, so my mom and I had a craft day.

We also made corn husk wreaths.  Here is a picture of my mothers:
Fun!  I love crafts, and that is definitely something that I learned from my mother.  She is the most talented person I know.  Thanks for the fun craft day mom!

Our $6.00 Pumpkin

Isn't he adorable?  These are the pictures Shaleece took for us at the Pumkin Patch conference weekend.  Thanks Shaleece!

He is a smart kid, we tried to give him little pumpkins, and he went right for the dollars.  :-)

Conner was pretty tired, so we had to work hard to try and get him to smile.

He fell asleep while we were talking to our friend, Dan, who owns the pumpkin patch.
