Sisters

Ya estoy de vuelta! Y muy contenta porque...¡¡aprobé los exámenes!! adiós máster, adiós jejejeje. Ahora sigo ya con el doctorado, pero sin clases ni nada de eso (lo que por una parte es bueno, y por otra no tanto). Bueno, tengo un par de trabajos atrasados para enseñar, y aquí está el primero de ellos. Me pidieron que hiciese un marco para poner una foto de dos hermanas pequeñas (de 2 años una y tres meses la otra, creo que era). Querían algo femenino pero no infantil, y aquí podeis ver lo que salió ¡Espero que os guste!

I'm back!!! And very happy to say that I passed my exams! Now I´ll  start working on my thesis :). Well, I have a few works I´ve not showed yet, so here's the first of them. I was asked to make a frame for a photo of two little sisters (the oldest is 2 years old and the youngest 3 months, I think), and they wanted something girly but not too childish, and this is what came out. Hope you like it!




Primero le di dos capas de gesso al marco y lo pinté con acrílica blanca. Después cubrí la parte frontal con mod podge y pegué el papel (que es de un taco de la colección Lost and Found de My Mind's Eye). Recorté a las dos niñas de un papel de Melissa Frances (de la colección 5th Avenue). El "sisters" es un rubon de Crate Paper y las perlas de Prima.

First I put two coats of gesso on the frame and painted it with white acrylic paint. Then I covered the front with mod podge and adhered the paper (which is from a My Mind's Eye Lost and Found stack). I cutout the two girls from a Melissa Frances paper (5th Avenue collection). The word "sisters" is a crate paper rubon, and the bling is from Prima.



Las flores las hice con este tutorial. Usé otro papel de la misma colección y les eché purpurina de la marca Kars para darles brillo. Como no tengo la big shot (aún) recorté unas flores parecidas con la cricut, y me quedaron algo más grandes.

I made the flowers following this wonderful tutorial. I made them using another paper from the same collection and added glitter from Kars to make them sparkly. Since I don´t have the big shot (yet) used my cricut to cut the flowers, and I think mine are bigger.

Este post también será rápido porque..estoy de vacaciones!! y muy contenta así jajaja. Hoy toca reveal en Sketchabilities! Teníamos una plantilla estupenda, me lo he pasado en grande con ella. Espero que os guste! El título es porque así llamamos todos los nietos a mi abuela, cuando mi hermano era pequeño no sabía decir "abuelita" y decía solo "ita", y así quedó, ¡a ella le gusta!

Another quickpost because I'm on vacation...and very happy hehehe. And today's Sketchabilities Reveal Day !!! this is a fantastic sketch, loved working with it. Here's my take, hope you like it. Thanks for looking!! The title "ita" it's how we call my grandmother.

Los papeles, si no me equivoco, son de Onirie. Usé un glimmer casero para entintar las letras, la cinta, las flores...bueno, casi todo lo de color azul. Cada día me aficiona más a los sprays...vaya vicio! las otras flores son de Prima, el arabesco de Zva y el rubon de arriba a la derecha es de Fancy Pants.

 Papers are from Onirie (I think, not sure). I used a homemade glimmer with the flowers, ribbon, letters...almost everything blue was sprayed with the mist! Flowers are from Prima, the bling is from Zva and the rubon is from Fancy Pants.
