Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Daddy didn't get to join us for our fun Christmas photos, but I got to pop in on a few!  Enjoy these little treasures of mine! I love them so!

See how she grows...

Look who got her pictures taken!

Miss Anwyn got her 3 month pictures! They are fan-freaking-tastic! Enjoy all the beauty & silliness below! I don't know where she gets it.

Anwyn's personality is already coming out, as I'm sure you could see in these photos. We are so in love with this little girl and are looking forward to more wonderful moments as we get to see her grow. Again, I want to thank Lindsey Mountain Kelly with Feather Blue Photography for the amazing photos. I can't wait for her 6 month shoot!

Keeping up with the Lawrences!

We've got new neighbors! Two to be exact. The Mulligans, our wonderful friends who have twin girls only a few months older than Anwyn purchased the house across the street from us and the Lawrences! Yes, that's right Steven's parents moved next door! I know some of you may find that unorthodox, but we are beyond excited about their arrival. Welcome to the neighborhood guys! We're so happy to have you! Who says you can't pick your own neighbors? I'm designing my neighborhood!

The Grandkids are the most excited!

So much for keeping up with the Jones' we've got the Lawrences!

It's a Girl!!!!

To our great surprise, we had a girl on June 24th at 8:28p.m! Now we have to figure out what to do with one! LOL! With two boys already we have the dirt finding, tool using, sword wielding, potty joke telling, tree climbing down, but a girl is a whole new ball game!

Meet our wonderful daughter Anwyn Renee. We love her so and wouldn't have it any other way. We have a true blessing in our hands.

We had an amazing birthing experience, one my husband is still processing. I have to say he really held me up through this whole process, literally! My labor in all lasted 8 hours, not bad for not having a natural labor before, I think, with 1 1/2 hours of pushing. There were only two positions that really offered great comfort and relief from the pressure of labor. 1. was my husband holding me and swaying with me. Thinking back down it was like a slow dance and it truly deepened my love for him on so many levels. 2. was his vice like counter pressure on my low back and hip area. It was sweet heaven when he applied his Hulk like strength to my low back while I had a surge(contraction).

Daddy's first hold

Mommy's first hold
What also made my labor truly amazing and everything I had hoped was I had the most amazing team of midwives I could have ever asked for! They will always hold a very special place in my heart for being the people they are and for helping me believe that I could have a natural labor and delivery. Kelly, Katie, and Molly were my dream team!

The Dream Team!

I told Kelly from the beginning that because I'm so bossy I need someone who will boss me right back, well she filled those shoes well and bossed me right into active labor! I told you I liked to be bossed!
Beginning Labor

The beautiful professional pictures in this post were taken by the very talented and spunky Lindsay Mountain Kelly of Feather Blue Photography. I have to say the biggest thank you to her for capturing my sweet Anwyn within that first 10 days of life. These photos are something I will always treasure. So if you're in the Boise area and need amazing photos, call this lady! In fact we will be getting Anwyn's 3 month pictures taken this weekend! Can't wait to post those!

The boys are truly in love with this little sweet heart of ours.

 See how she grows!

 Precious Moments

Baby wearing & Japa!
Thanks for the patience since Anwyn's almost 3 months and I haven't blogged until now. Looking forward to all the precious moments we have ahead!

When will baby arrive?

So we wait patiently and not so patiently to meet our wish baby! 40 weeks has come and gone and we're heading toward 41! It's been a beautiful Father's Day, in which I thought baby might join us today, but alas I think it's waiting for us to put the finishing touches on it's room before arriving. We have a set of shelves to put up so that I can get the baby books off the floor and then I hope to meet this new little member of our family.

Leading up to today I left work on Thursday for my midwife appointment and to my great delight we were able to encourage more consistent labor until we had some guests pop in and I had to sit and everything slowed way down. I really think it was the universe saying, the stars aren't in the right position for this little spirit to make its way into the world, so now we wait with inconsistent contractions since Thursday.

Waiting on baited breath for this little surprise and I'm pretty sure Dad has a few little things to finish up so we can welcome this little person into our family.

Happy Father's Day my sweet husband and I hope we made you feel special, loved, and celebrated as you should be! At least you didn't have to help me labor a baby into the world!

Here's hoping my next post is announcing if we are having a boy or a girl!

The Baby Den!

Steven seems to think I have an aversion to saying the word nursery, but I really don't. It just didn't fit for the space we've made for the baby. It's more small & cozy than a traditional nursery so with that I've deemed it the baby den. We've converted a walk in closet that was just out side our bedroom next to our bathroom up stairs. It's been so exciting seeing it be transformed. I'm so grateful for Steven and his willingness to make it happen.

Taking a break and getting some fresh air!

Ashton has been a big help as well from running errands to get supplies for the transformation to painting the walls, he's showing his love by getting right in there as usual.

The black and yellow are finished and that left my needing to get the crib up!

The beautiful light fixture we got. I just love it and the shadows it casts on the walls and ceiling! Who needs a mobile with a cool light like that?

You caught me! I wanted to see what it looked like from the baby's perspective. Steven got a shot of me on the floor. Thank goodness he didn't get one of me trying to get up!

Now for some decorations, bedding, and the most important part...the baby! He or she is due to arrive June 13, 2013! Can't wait to meet the newest member of our family!

Now isn't that a baby den if you ever saw one? Cute, cozy and ready for a little one!
