Around the block

Saturday
Emmalee and two of her sisters waiting in the truck very patiently to have a ride! Wahoo!

Here they go!
They made it all the way around the block and it quit at the end of the street! Burton tried to get it going again, but didn't have any luck!
Stanley jumped in the Ford and went down the street to get them home!
Burton went around the block again today and got all the way home this time!

Oh! Kensi! You cute little thing!

I'm sorry I don't have a picture of this, but just try to imagine. Kensi was sitting on the floor with Barbie stuff all around her. She started picking up Barbie shoes and would put them to her ear and say, "Hello!" (Act like she was listening) "Bye!", put it down, pick up another one and do the same thing over again. She did this about 5 or 6 times! It was soooooooo cute! And hilarious!!!! Kids have the best imagination and she's never seen "Get Smart"!!!!!!

Easter pictures

It was a long Easter week-end with two family parties. Saturday before Easter was just my little family. Karsen and Steve missed coming cuz it was Karsen's turn for the flu! But everyone else was here (except Ellee and family who we greatly missed!) Aren't these some cute little girls! They were getting ready to find their Easter eggs!

Can you see where some of the eggs got hidden? One is yellow and one is orange! It had been raining all day and was sprinkling at the time, so we had to do the next best thing. Hide the eggs in the kitchen and family room!

The older kids still get their Rice Krispie Treat Easter baskets. This year I put them in oblong containers (I love Ziplock!) instead of bowls.

Then on Monday, we had the BIG Lawlor Easter party. Ryan has some cows out in the back of his yard and the kids had a blast feeding them some hay and looking at them.

Nephi took Grandma out to see the cows too!

He also had a trampoline with short legs! Makes it fun for little kids, but big kids can't jump on it cuz they just end up touching the ground! Not much fun!

This is a little dark, but can you see the pure glee and delight on their faces!

And I'm sorry this one is dark too. But I was trying to get a picture of Angeline's little boy with bright red hair! Maybe if you click on it to see a bigger picture, you'll be able to see it better!

Grandma and Grandpa (there were two of us taking pictures at the same time, dad looked at the other one, mom looked at me!)

After the dinner and the egg hunt the kids played games with Ashley. Here they are playing Duck, Duck, Goose!

It was a perfect night for a party and the kids had a lot of fun running and playing and the adults had fun visiting. Thanks Ryan and Julie for letting us invade your back yard! We had a good time!

Girls Camp Creek Video

Love the sound of a babbling brook!
This is from the bridge at Orchard Camp

This is over in Main camp on the other side of the bridge behind ramada 3

Sorry it's so short!

Girls Camp job

We went up to Orchard camp a couple weeks ago to put new wiring in two of the cabins. It was a great day, but a long one too! Here's all four "men" (wow, I have all adult sons!) working away.

This is just amazing! I haven't seen water in the creek since I went here as a girl! (Main camp) It was so fun to hear it and see it. This was taken on the bridge at Orchard. I've never seen so much algae! It was very pretty. I took some video and will try and post it later!

Emmalee has never been to Orchard camp. This is the Sacred Grove. Apparently there was some kind of storm and some branches came down and even a few trees. Just snapped! This one snapped about half way up the tree and fell on the benches. Glad no one was sitting there!

Dallon and Clinton after working all day! Gotta love those working mans hands! "Let me give you a hug!" No way! The funny thing is, Clinton washed his hands and he was wiping them dry and they didn't look much different! The stuff had gotten into the cracks and stained them!

The reason I've taken so long to post these pictures is a good reason! On our way home we stopped at a little cafe in Payson - it shall remain nameless for now - and had dinner. I woke up the next day feeling kind of nauseous. By 10 I was a full blown food poisoning victim! Yuck! I felt a lot better once it was all out of my system, but I didn't feel like eating anything for almost a week! And the smell of food was not pleasant either! I lost 4 pounds, but I've also put it back on! Didn't take long either! We all had something different to eat and I'm the only one that got sick! Not really fair, but I'm glad no one else had to go through this!

And the word "Beatnik" was coined to describe the "Beat Generation" bouncing off the word "sputnik"
