Lady Liberty

I love school! We learned about lady liberty yesterday. Did you know that you can climb up the torch all the way up to the top? But some people don't because it's really high! My teacher read two different books about lady liberty. It was really fun!

Grandkids

On the night before Ellee's family left for home,
all the grandkids were together one last time.  We
tried to get them together for a picture and shot
several pictures quickly before we totally lost them!

We couldn't see Kensi's face, so we had her stand
up and everyone started shifting too!

So she sat down again and had to peek over,
but I got it just as someone decided her nose
was bothering her!  We love our grandkids!
And miss Merik and Gavin.  It was a great
three weeks!

1st Day of School

This is so crazy!!! Today is Karsen's first day of school. It is something that I have been looking forward to all summer, but now that it's here I have so many feelings. I'm nervous for him and hope that he makes good friends, and listens, and doesn't get lost, or have an accident. We got to school a few minutes late - like so many others - so he missed playing before going to class. I wish that I could be a fly on the wall in his classroom. Today is the first day in over 20 years that mom hasn't had to send a kid off to school, but it continues with me sending my first. Here are some pictures - Enjoy!

Here he is with his new backpack that he picked out by himself. He wouldn't take it off unless we made him and last night I found him sleeping with it. Do you think he was excited?

New blog site

Well, I've started a new blog site called Life and Marriage. I got the idea to do something like this at the wedding reception. My sister gave her a piece of advice and I was teasing her and she said she had lot's more to share and I again jokingly said we should start a blog so people can share! So I did it! It's in the beginning stages, but I hope you'll check it out and add your comments to it. We all have learned things throughout our life. We don't have quilting bees or canning parties where we share them with each other. What a pity! But a lot of us blog! So I hope to see some good advice, knowledge and wisdom from all you bloggers! The BIG day!

Make a Smilebox scrapbook Alex and Emmee had their pictures taken Thursday afternoon. It was threatening to storm, but as we looked up at the clouds, they were going on either side of the temple! I took these shots before and after the photographer. He got some beautiful photo's and we can't wait to see them! It was a beautiful wedding day and they are so happy together! They are so perfect together! I'll be posting more pictures later.
