What do you do when you go camping? Well, if Harry Potter just came out, you spend most of the time reading it! Here's Burton and Emmalee working together to get their tent set up. Then there's Emmee and Tashina Teller singing songs and last of all is the boys tree tottering and having a blast! Luckily no one got hurt! We had rain almost every day, except two days. It was wonderfully cool and refreshing to be up in the mountains!

glasses
Kadee was nice enough to let my boys and I come over yesterday to hang for a little bit. Maeley is such funny girl. She kept putting on these glasses and would go on with her day. Karsen wanted to get in on the action so he put them on too. I love going over there and letting the kids scream and play together. Thanks Kadee.

BUBBLES
Here are a couple pictures of Kensington blowing bubbles. She is getting so big. I think that she is tired of being a baby though (I am tired of her being a baby too). She will be 3 months on my birthday (this Saturday the 28th). I feel like she's been here for much longer though. She smiles so big and I almost got her to laugh the other night - I can't wait for that! (click on the picture to make it bigger so you can see the bubbles)

Philmont trip
On our way to Philmont, we had to go to Big Lake and pick up Dallon, who had been at scout camp since Monday. If you look closely you can see him in the middle, walking toward us. He was happy to see us! Then all the married kids (except Emmalee and Burton) came to see us. They were camping at a different camp ground not far from the boys. So we saw all the grandkids before we left. Here they are playing with Emmee I think? Then we saw these white disc things and the closer we got the more we realized they were satalite dishes, all in a row! It was really cool! We finally made it to Philmont and here's Pres. Dalquist - the General Young Men's Pres. and Sis. Lant the General Primary Pres. to greet us as we came in. He was very impressed with Emmee driving nearly the whole way! Stanley and I sat in the back seat! It was fun! Let the week begin!
Philmont
Well, this is more of the first day, when the kids leave for thier mountain trek. Here's Dallon, Emmee, Calee, Stance and Forrest, excited and happy to start their adventure. Look at these sparkling clean kids! Take a look at the picture we took when they came back! They had no idea what they were going to experience! Ignorance is bliss! This is Emmee loading her fully loaded back pack into the bus to take them to their first camp. Interesting way to do it!

One day we had a hail storm. It lasted about 1/2 hour and started just after our womens class got done. So we were stuck in the auditorium until it stopped! This is the couple who came from Hawaii! If you look to the left of them, you can see the hail! It looked like we almost had snow, it piled up thick between our tents! The next one is from inside the Philla Monte. I got to play the really old piano! It was pretty cool. On Tuesday, we had family time in the afternoon and we went sight seeing to Eagle's Nest and Red River. These cool touring bicycles were in Eagles Nest. You rent one and then ride around town, like you were a car, seeing all the sights! We thought they were pretty cool! When we came back, there were deer in camp! They were eating the apples on the trees. There were about 4 of them, this is one running through camp! One night, I turned the corner of the bathroom and there was one at the end of the building. It took a look at me and then turned and ran! I'm glad it wasn't a skunk!

Here's me and dad at Lovers Leap! We started the hike at 4:30 AM! Got there just before the sun came up, watched the beautiful sunrise and then hiked back down. It's only 3/4 of a mile one way, not very hard at all! The next picture is of me and the Leavitt's waiting for our kids to come off the mountain! There they are! They marched them into camp for a hero's welcome! And the last picture is of Emmee, me, Dallon and dad, happily reunited after 6 days! Yahoo!
Here we all are! All the trekkers, safely back off the mountain, the presidency and wives and children! What a happy moment! Then we have a picture of our girls, Kelsey Coleman, Emmee, Kelley and Rachel (the rangers), Pres. Dalquist (Gen. YM Pres.), Kalia Coleman and Calli Leavitt. Then we have a picture of the dance. I believe these are the Mountain Women 1 group, which is our girls group. The last picture is of Dallon pointing to the mountain he climbed (Mt. Baldy). Their group is the only group to climb Mt. Baldy with packs on! We took this picture on the way home! Happy Trails!

A few camping pictures
We sure had a lot of fun with everyone while camping. I bet the guys had more fun than the girls because they go to go fishing and have time away from all the kids. It was also nice to go see Dad, Mom, Emmee and Dallon before they left to Philmont. You should have seen Dallon's face when he saw us driving into his camp, priceless. He would have had to wait 2 weeks before seeing everyone again. I think he was happy to see all the grand kids. It was nice of the guys to watch all of the kids the last day so Kadee, Natalie and I could go on a short walk. We just sat right in the middle of the Black River on three big rocks and talked. Ahhhh so peaceful.
