Beautiful

Our ARTastic  March Inspiration ...

comes to you from ..
Australian portrait artist Julia Sattout with her painting Girl in Pink.
Added criteria - use a portrait photograph
What a great challenge. I went along with the pink theme of the portrait but gave it a more hot pink twist. This is Kate at her Aunty's wedding last year, a very natural pose of Kate enjoying the day.
Here is a link to the ARTastic blog where you can upload your page and read a bit more about this artist.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the challenge.

Liam's Craft Table

Show Us Your Stuff-February Challenge
Our inspiration...

I haven't seen Liam eat any paste yet but he is very creative. Everyday he will be at his table creating something, you know he is there because for about 1/2  an hour the house is very quiet. So glad that like me he finds enjoyment in creating with paper.
For this page I used Amy Tangerine paper. I cut out the frames then made them into hanging frames with some beading wire and a brad. Liam has drawn his own pictures in some of the frames.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and have a look at my work.

Home and Scrapped February= Love Blog Hop

Love is in the air...everywhere I look around....
(John Paul Young)
Especially at Home and Scrapped and the cyper crop they are having this weekend.
So glad you have blog hopped over here to say hi.   I am last on the blog hop list so I am sure you have had a great time visiting  the girls very inspiring blogs. I hope you are enjoying the cyper crop and have been able to create some pages with the challenges the girls have set this month.
My quote for this month is from  Marilyn, it is about being who you are. It might not be romantic but it is what love is all about.

"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
– Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe

So 4 things you might not know about me...
1. I have a monkey phobia, it is getting better, still have trouble walking past them in the zoo though!
2.I hate the herb dill on my food.
3. I do have a convict past, ancestor came here from Ireland for stealing a candle stick, his surname Lawless!
4. My favourite drink at the moment is pear cider.
Well that is enough about me, onto you. If you have been  to all the other blogs you are now waiting for the final word, so here it is Oneself
And here is the prize we have on offer for one person who successfully completes all tasks on the Hop, one of Heather's beautiful  extra large flower packs (Flowers by Heather at Elsie & Grace - http://www.etsy.com/shop/ElsieandGrace )

Hope you have enjoyed your blog hop, please leave a comment if you like before you leave, I will draw a name out of a hat for a RAK at the end of the cyper crop for all those that have left a comment.
All you need to do now is head back to Angie's Blog for the final hop.

I love you Lego Boy

Scrap the Boys - February Challenge
This month your challenge is to take a photo of you and your son and create a "BOY" Inspired Love layout

A picture of Liam and me at a Cafe in Norwood after Kate's mid year Dance concert. Liam loves Lego, most of the tops that he wears are some type of Lego character, his favourite at the moment are the Star Wars characters. While I was at the Brisbane Scrapbooking Expo last year I was lucky enough to pick up this Lego patterned paper, just perfect.
Thanks so much for dropping by and having a look at my work.

Light House

Purple Pumpkin February Sketch

February Sketch

I am slowly getting back into my scrapbooking after the big move to Sydney. I have a space all set up now so I am ready.  Here is the page I created with this sketch. It is of Kate at the Cape Willoughby Lighthouse on Kangaroo Island. We were able to go inside it and see how it worked and admire the wonderful views from the top. Kangaroo Island is an amazing place we were so lucky to spend 4 days there last year.
I used Purple Pumpkin washi tape, I even covered some buttons in the washi tape to create some new buttons. The red/blue and white twine and the denim and hessian round.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my work.
