Get Picky -March Sketch Challenge #18

I could not resist this sketch, so different, it really inspired me to do something very different to my usual pages and I like it! I turned the sketch around and created a winter scene with the help of the penguins at Sea World. They were so amazing to watch, we were so close to them and able to get these amazing shots of them.
I haven't done  a get picky challenge for a while but now I remember why I enjoyed doing them, you bring out the best in my scrapbooking - thank you.

Show Us Your Stuff Challenge- Group 2 March Challenge

Here is our inspiration, looks yummy doesn't it.

The chocolate and the sprinkles very much suited our trip to Melba's Chocolate factory. The place was just full of chocolate and sweets, the smell was amazing! Kate and her very good friend Zoe had a lovely time, tasting and choosing treats to take home. I also tried Penny's technique challenge of using texture paste. Have never used it before, amazing stuff. I created the sugar coated hearts with it.  BTW if you do not live near a craft shop I was able to get the texture paste from Bunnings in their craft section.
Thanks for the challenge and thanks for dropping by.

Purple Pumpkin March Sketch Challenge

March Sketch
Here is the sketch we had to work with this month. I turned it around to suit the portrait photos.
The page is of our wet holiday on the Gold Coast this January. It didn't matter that we were getting fired upon by water cannons because we were all so wet anyway. I have used Purple Pumpkin Pirate and Black and White spotted button, just perfect for this page. Thanks again for a great challenge.

Show Us Your Stuff Challenge- March 1st Challenge

This is the picture we are to use to inspire us in our page. As soon as I saw it I thought of my daughters dress that is black and has very colourful embroidery flowers on it. I added some black lace and little cotton doilies. I made the bird house out of left over chipboard. The handmade flower I have used is from my friend Heather who now sells her lovely  flowers  http://www.madeit.com.au/ElsieandGrace.
This picture of Kate was taken at the Gumeracha Strawberry Farm,  up in the Adelaide Hills. Kate had such a lovely time running around and exploring, she really does bring sunshine to so many things.

ARTastic March Challenge

 "Chinamen's Beach" by Ken Done.
Extra criteria is:
1) Palm Trees or Palm leaves
2) Photo taken at the beach
3) 2-3 Beach Embellishments
I was very glad to see a  Ken Done painting as our inspiration this month. Ken Done grew up and still lives in the same Sydney suburb as I did and went to the same high school. Many of his paintings are of the beaches and the harbour that I know so very well.
I have created my page around my children enjoying a hot Adelaide beach day.

I t would be great if we could get more people this month to join in.
