Baby doesn't arrive for another 4 months and we (or should I say "I") have already accumulated quite the diaper stash. I have two excuses for this new addiction. One, I am pregnant, and two, how can anyone resist all the cute patterns and colors. Who knew diapers could be so fun!
Here is a list of everything we have so far:
6 tiny gdiapers
8 small gdiapers
2 med gdiapers
3 newborn bummis super whisper wraps
1 newborn bummis super brite wrap
2 thirsties size one duo wraps
9 (I plan to sew about 24 total) homemade small cloth inserts
12 newborn prefolds
12 small prefolds
2 packages small biodegradable refills
24 (I plan to sew about 48 total) homemade cloth wipes
This stash (with the exception of the med gdiapers) will last from newborn to about 14 lbs. I have been accumulating this stash for quite some time as I try and find good deals to save as much money as possible and making my own items where it is cost effective.
In the long run, once we add larger sizes to the stash, we will probably have spent somewhere around $400 which is far less than it costs to use disposables from birth to potty training. And we can re-use it all for the next child.

20 Weeks
Well we have officially made it to the half way point in this pregnancy. With the holidays approaching I am expecting the next few months to go by quickly.
Everything is going very well, aside from some extended morning (aka ALL DAY) sickness. However, the midwife has put me on some medication that is really helping. I have also been put on the Eat-Whatever-You-Want-Diet as I have not gained any weight (although upon writing this I am starting to gain).
I had my 20 week ultrasound at my last appointment (19 weeks and 2 days) and the baby was measuring right on track (50th percentile) and VERY active throughout the ultrasound. All of the important stuff, i.e. brain, heart, kidneys, etc checked out good as well. And, just in case you are curious, baby's heart rate was 142. They will do another ultrasound at my next appointment as well, since baby didn't want to cooperate for spine pictures.
A couple weeks back I started feeling the baby move, which is a really unique and cool experience. Some days this kid just doesn't stop moving and shaking. It is especially endearing at 2:30 am. Tom has felt the baby move once, but usually gets tired of having his hand on my stomach after about 3 seconds (goofball). However, he is kinda enough to comment on how HUGE I am every night while getting ready for bed.
Okay, enough babble here are some pics of baby and me.

So far it looks like baby has my nose...
and daddy's feet (poor kid)!

Coming this February...
Tom and I are expecting our first little one to join us in the middle of February. We are very excited, although I am not sure it has entirely sunk in yet. Stay tuned for more updates in this next chapter of our life.

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day
~Author Unknown
A Dad is a personwho is loving and kind,
And often he knows
what you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens,
suggests, and defends.
A dad can be one
of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs,
but when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
and helpful and strong
In all that you do,
a dad's love plays a part.
There's always a place for him
deep in your heart.
And each year that passes,
you're even more glad,
More grateful and proud
just to call him your dad!
Thank you, Dad...
for listening and caring,
for giving and sharing,
but, especially, for just being you!
Happy Father's Day.

Four Years Ago...
My life, my love, my best friend, always and forever.
On a side note...
My sister and I were discussing what the different anniversary years meant. Next year (5 years) is wood, oh boy, I can't wait. We looked up which year was the diamond year and it is 75, so I told Tom he better make it to 101 ;-)
