Happy Birthday Family!

This week is crazy with birthdays and I wanted to do a shout out to all the ones I love! Today is Jocelyn's (my sister) and Grandma Charlenes birthday. It must be a special day to have two amazing people like that born on the same day!
Jocelyn and I have gotten to become really good friends since living together the past 2 1/2 years. She has been in Europe for a month and have missed her so much! There are so many things I admire about her so here is a list:
-She is always happy
-She is so good with Paisley and is always willing to help with her
-She is SO smart in school
-She is mature and looks at the picture of life instead of letting little things get to her
-She is GORGEOUS and doesn't leave the house without looking her best
-She always chooses the right and is strong in the church
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOCEY! I MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU!

My Grandma is the best grandma EVER! She has always lived close to our family and been involved in our lives. I will cherish all the memories we have made forever!
-She taught me game after game and gave me my love for puzzles : )
-She always lets me know how much she loves me
-She taught me how important the temple is and she loves it so much
-She serves in the church and the temple endlessly
-She is so good with Paisley and loves to come over and just hold her (which I love!)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND I LOVE YOU!

My brother John's birthday is tomorrow and I owe him so much because the greatest parts of my life came from him (BRADY thus then Paisley : )) I would always annoy John growing up because I thought he was so cool (and he still is) and always wanted to be with him and his friends (especially Brady!) He would let me tag a long and then even let his friends become mine as we got older. I admire a lot about John:
-He is such a hard worker and will do his best
-He is so tender and sweet with his wife and her feelings and needs
-He is so willing to let us come up and visit and invade his house and time
-He is righteous and devoted to the church

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I LOVE YOU!

My sister Emily's birthday is Wednesday and she is so talented at many things. I wish I was like her in that area. Here are some examples:
-She designed her dream house to fit their families needs
-She then decorated it to perfection
-She decided to learn photography and now takes amazing pictures
-She is such a great mom to her 3 1/2 kids always supporting them in their activities
-She is a great cook and keeps her house immaculate (I envy this!)
-She give her callings everything and teaches her children the gospel

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I LOVE YOU!

My BIL Greg has a birthday on the 14th and is such a great dad to his little boys! He also helped me get my job, which I owe him so much for. He has helped me survive the past 2 years and has taught me how to sell. He is the best salesman I have ever met! Thanks Greg for being so good to my nephews, sister, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. We love you!
July 15th is my BIL Craig's birthday and this is the best picture I have of him. He is the back left in the gray sweatshirt (I need to take more pictures!) We go way back and I was friends with him before Brady! : ) He is always so nice to me and I will never forget the times he stuck up for me! He is also willing to help Brady with any heavy lifting : )! We love you Craig and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Father's Day

There are 3 amazing dads in my life.
Of course my dad has been in my life the longest and has always worked so hard to provide for his family and teach us about the gospel.  Whenever I have a question he is there to answer it and help me out wether it be medical, church, or life.  I am grateful for his love and devotion to us!  We will miss him when we move and are grateful he is our navigator for the Pittsburgh trip.  He is better than a GPS system!  Thanks dad, LOVE YOU!
Next is my father-in-law.  I am so grateful for the example he is to Brady of what a great husband, father, and grandfather truly is.  He is a great man who loves his family so much.  He will entertain the grandchildren for hours!  We will go over for dinner on Sundays and Kurt will be in the backyard from when we get there til dark just playing with the kids.  He is also a great wrestler who keeps Brady in check when he needs it.  Thanks Kurt!  Love you!
Lastly is the newest father of all... MY HUBBY!  He is Mr. Mom right now and I can't appreciate him more.  He takes care of all of Paisley needs and always makes sure she feels loved.  He lets me sleep at night while he gets up and takes care of Paisley.  I am LUCKY!  He has worked so hard for us in school and will continue to work hard!  I am so grateful for his motivation and desire to love and support our family.  He has also learned from his father to be children's entertainment.  Kids love him and want to play with him all the time.  He had to substitute in Primary the other Sunday and the singing chorister asked him to be an umpire for her "baseball" game.  He acted that role out the best he could and the children couldn't stop laughing.   A couple weeks ago my nephew wanted to go boating so bad and we couldn't find another adult to go with them so he took my nephew and called our other nephew and took them to the pool for the day.  He always wants to make his loved ones happy over what he may want.  I am so grateful he is the father of Paisley and a wonderful husband to me.  Thanks HONEY!  LOVE YOU!

Paisley's Cast

Paisley got her surgery on the tenth and is recovering great!  She is so strong and resilient!  We woke up at 3:30 that morning to get to Primary's.  Right when we got there I counted my blessings for my Paisley.  I started crying just while we were checking in and I looked around the room.  It is an amazing place, but I could NEVER work there, I would cry all the time with the innocent children who are suffering.  Paisley's surgery started at 7:45.  Dr. Rockwell was the plastic surgeon and Dr. Holley was the anesthesiologist.  I was impressed with both.  It took an hour and a half.  Brady and I had breakfast and tried to stay distracted with homework.  Everything went great!  Paisley's bones were breaking apart like a fork in the road so he had to put a pin in it to straighten the bone he left.  He had to fix the tendons as well.  When I went to recovery to see Paisley, I just cried at how groggy and sad she was.  I felt bad and wished I could take the pain for her.  She was only there about an hour and then we headed home.  She slept and ate a lot after surgery the rest of the day.  Yesterday she was more fussy, who can blame her she had half of her finger cut off.  I am so grateful everything went well and there were no complications.  She has her cast for 6 weeks and then everything will be back to normal.  Poor girl keeps hitting herself in her head with the cast and trying to lick it.  We have had to cut clothes to fit over the cast.  She is doing great and healthy.  Thanks to everyone who was concerned and care.  We love you guys!

4 and 5 Month Blog

I have been back to work and I am feeling stretched thin which makes me feel as if I am failing at everything since nothing gets 100% (i.e. my house, and Paisley's 4 month blog).  I am working full time, taking 8 credits for my masters, and trying to fulfill my mother/wife/daughter/sister/friend etc...roles.  (sorry everyone if I have let you down)
Well Paisley is 5 months today and we love her so much!  Here is some information on our little girl:
-Paisley went to the doctor a couple weeks ago and weighed 12 pounds and was 25 inches long.
-Brady is Mr.Mom and Paisley loves her care takers (thanks brady, mom, and jocey!)
I never worry about who is taking care of her and loving her.
-Paisley is called Princess P by many.
-Paisley has stopped sleeping through the night, but we still love her!
-Paisley kicks her legs high into the air and then down on anything, her bed, the floor, Cannon's head... : )
-Speaking of Cannon (my nephew) he loves her so much and gives her kisses while snuggling with her on the floor and singing to her.  He is PRECIOUS!
-Crew (Cannon's little brother) tries to kiss her through the computer on ichat, smacks his lips whenever he is with her, and tries to shove her binkie into her eye when it falls out.
-Paisley gets very distracted while eating and loves to look at anyone talking of walking around.
-Paisley can hold her own bottle pretty darn well!
-Paisley gets her surgery Wed and will have a cast to her shoulder for up to 6 weeks!
-We love to hear her talk!
-She jams her head in the corner of her crib and freaks out, who wouldn't!
-Paisley LOVES T.V. especially Barney and the spoken word (anything with music)

An update to Brady's school:  We are really excited to move out to Pittsburgh August 2nd and we are going out there next month to find a house (cross your fingers).  I am so proud of Brady because he got a half tuition scholarship which helps us avoid a little debt!  Time is flying fast and I can't believe we have less than 2 months  left in UTAH, but we can't wait to be back east!
