TIME is sure a crazy thing. It has a way of passing really quickly, yet at the same TIME it is passing quickly it can seem to be a really long TIME. I'm certain that it hasn't really been a month and a half since I have updated, but that's what TIME tells me.
The 18th of April was a busy day. We headed out early in the morning to make our way through the city admist the marathon and closed streets. Finally making our way to Clearfield for Kylie's dance competition. Her final dance wasn't until later in the afternoon so Dad, Mom, Brody, Bridger and I took off a little early and headed back to Salt Lake. We went up to the University of Utah to watch the spring football game. Looks like the team should be a good one again this year!! Go Utes! From there we made our way to Spring Mobile Ballpark to watch Utah take on BYU. It was a busy day, but we had a good TIME.
Brody and Bridger stayed over Saturday night and went to church with me Sunday morning. After church the boys where playing in the backyard and came in and asked if they could have some sunflower seeds that I had bought at the baseball game the night before. Next thing I know Bridger is crying and coughing. We brought him in the house and settled him down. He said that he chocked on a seed. So we had him eat a piece of bread and he seemed fine. We took off for Woodland. Making a stop at the horses to feed and then on out to Woodland. As soon as we got to Grandpa's house Bridger started crying again. So I calmed him down and we decided we'd better take him back home. When we got to their house he started crying again and was starting to have a raspy cough. Laura gave him a breathing treatment and by time we left he was off playing again. We went back down to Grandpa's for a while and left about quarter to ten. Just before we got to Highway 40 Laura called and said she was taking Bridger over to urgent care in Park City so we met her there. After the doctor checked him over she was pretty sure he had a bad case of croupe and wanted him to go down to Primary Children's so they could observe him. The doctor was pretty adamant that he go down by ambulance. After some thinking Laura decided to let him go.
Here he is getting all strapped in. Bridger is a Dodge guy(since that is what his Dad drives) and he totally lucked out..he got the only Dodge ambulance that they have!!
Away they go!
Once we got down to Primary Children's they did an x-ray and gave him a couple more breathing treatments. The doctors and PCMC didn't seem to think that it was croupe. They kept questioning about the sunflower seed. The one came in and said to Bridger, "How many sunflower seeds did you have today?" With a really questioning tone. The x-ray didn't show anything and the breathing treatments seemed to really be helping. I really honestely didn't think there was any chance of it being a sunflower seed causing this much problem. Around 3:30 Bridger was sleeping pretty good and they said they wanted to let him sleep and then see how things were in the morning. But they had scheduled him in to have a scope in the morning to see if anything was down his throat if he wasn't any better in the morning. Dad, Mom and I headed home at that time. Catching a few hours of sleep and then off to work. Laura called and said that he sounded raspy again when he woke up and so they wanted to go ahead with the scope. So...down they went and what did they find?? That's right...a sunflower seed. Still in the shell. I guess that means no more sunflower seeds for Bridger...at least not from me!! I'm so glad that we have the technology that we do these days. Just to show that I've trained him right...he called me once he was able to and told me that he had pictures of the sunflower seed in his throat and the sunflower seed itself...and he wanted to scrapbook them!! Teachin' 'em young!
May 9th brought what is starting to become our annual Lagoon trip. Dad, Mom, Paul, Laura, Kylie, Amber, Brody, Bridger, Stacey, Brooke, Emma Jane and I went to Lagoon for Kylie and Amber's dance competition. It was a fun time for all.

Dad - He prefers the merry go round! I did manage to get him to ride the white roller coaster, the ferris wheel and jet star! And he didn't even get sick.

Amber, Brooke and Laura - They got stuck on this ride for about 15 minutes. Once it stopped the restraints wouldn't release.
I'm ashamed to say, but we didn't do a whole lot on Mother's Day. We'd been at Lagoon ALL day the day before and I just hadn't taken the time to get anything prepared. After church we went and ate with Mark and Jessi and then went up to Woodland for dinner with Paul's family. Then down to Grandpa's to spend some time with him. I hope that my mom knows how much I love her and how much I truly appreciate all that she does for me!!!
Another week had passed and I was ready for the weekend. On my way home from work on Friday the 15th of May and Mom called and said she needed to run to the bank and then we might as well go grab something to eat. I was just about home so I told her they might as well wait for me and I'd just drive. I got home, picked them up and was heading out. I had just pulled up to the stop sign by the Christian Center waiting to pull out onto seventh east. It was about twenty after five on Friday, so of course there was a lot of traffic. I hadn't even pulled all the way up to look to see if I could pull out yet and all of a sudden I looked and here came a vechile from the inside lane turning towards me. TIME slowed down and I can still see the look on the girls face as she came crashing head on into my car!! She didn't hit the breaks or anything. She hit us and it pushed us back about four feet. I couldn't believe what had just happened!! But unfortunately it had.
To put it lightly I was VERY upset!! I don't even have ten thousand miles on my car. I've only had it for eight months and this happens. I tried to be as calm as I could. After the sheriff came and we got all the information I drove the car back to the house since I was just around the corner and parked it. It of course was Friday night so nothing was going to get done until Monday!
We have been working on the computer/TV room. Dad got it all painted and Mom decided that we might as well put in new carpet while we had it all apart. The carpet came in on Friday, so we got up and at it first thing Saturday morning. We tore up the old carpet...see below.
Got the room all ready for the new carpet. Went and picked it up and came back home and laid the new carpet! I'll tell you what...laying carpet is no easy task.
But the new carpet sure looks good!! We also got a new wood blind and a new light fixture. I hung the blind...with Dad and Mom's help and let Dad do the light fixture. The room is starting to come back together. Very slowly though...Mom REALLY likes the recliner that we've had in that room. So she thought that we had the TIME to recover it. She and I have been working on it every chance we get. It's getting a lot closer, but still isn't done. I will post pictures of the final result. Hopefully soon!! ;)
We went up to Kamas on the 21st for Kylie's guitar concert. She did a great job, and even sang a couple of songs.
Kylie strumming away.
Memorial Day Weekend - We started the weekend off in Oaklay at the high school rodeo.
Uncle DeLoy was the chute gate man. He looks like he takes his job pretty serious!
Cache drew a really tough bull!! He made a good effort but the bull won.
We spent the rest of the weekend hanging out with Grandpa and visiting the cemeteries often.
We met up with all the family on Memorial Day.
