Almost Done!!

We are just about finished with the shed, the only thing we have left to do is put down the floor. David, Stacey, Brooke and Emma Jane came in on Friday night. David helped us finish up the shed on Saturday, Paul also came down and got in on some of the action.
Brody and Amber stayed over and went to church with me on Sunday. When we got home I wanted to get some pictures of them, as well as Mom and Dad's flowers.

Never a Dull Moment

Things just never seem to slow down. Even when you think that they are going to, they don't. I can't beleive that it's been a week and a half since I have posted. I'm such a slacker. Anyway...we've been going none stop. On Monday the 10th we started our latest project - a new shed! We decided to put it where the swing set had been, so before we moved it Mom and Dad had to take one last ride on the play park. (Okay not really, they were trying to fix the swing, but it sure looks like they are playing.)
Once we got the swing set moved Dad started getting the ground level, and I started putting all the pieces together.

It seems like we have worked on putting the shed up every chance we get...but with it getting dark earlier that makes it a little harder. We are slowing progressing on it.

We took a little break from the shed project and went back out to the State Fair for the Draft Horse Pulls. They had the arena really compacted so it made for a great pull. In the light weights they had the Navy there and they where trying to pull what the horses where pulling. They started out with like 23 guys, and by time there where done they had I think 46. It's just amazing what those horses can do. They always joke around about running out of weight and having to get people from the crowd to come and get on the boat...well...they actually did...and they got some girl to come get on.

Saturday morning we of course worked on the shed some more. Then we got ready and headed up to the "U" to tailgate before the big Utah vs. UCLA game. I think most people figured that Utah had no chance, but Dad and I had a conversation about the game while working on the shed, and Dad told me that he thought Utah would win.

Steph, Matthew, Me, Mark, Mom, Aunt Lynn, Dad and Kim - Steph and Kim are Dad's cousins and Matthew is Kim's little boy.

Man, what a game! Utah WON!!! We beat UCLA 44 to 6! How awesome! It was such a fun game. I could hardly talk by time we got home that night. Even though the score makes it sound like a total blow out, it really didn't seem like it. You can't see the score board very well, but I just had to put it in.

Sunday after church we went up and spent the afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa. It was nice to be able to spend some time with them.

Monday was Brody's 6th Birthday! I really can't believe that he is 6, that is just so crazy to me. I don't know where the time has gone, and just how he's gotten so big. He's loving Kindergarten.
Here's the four of them blowing out the candles.

I of course had to hook him up with a new UTAH sweatshirt, and some tennis shoes to make sure he can run away from the girl at school. Although when Grandpa Al asked him if he had a girlfriend he said no, but that if he did he would tell the whole world.

Mom and Dad got him new church clothes, which he looked so grown up in, and some clothes for school. He had to make sure that he could do whatever he wanted in the new clothes, so he showed us his balancing ablities and did a headstand for like five minutes. I can't believe how long he can stay up there...very impressive!!

We then had a little dance party to end the night! I sure love to go and play with my nieces and nephews they are so much fun.

Update on the shed - it's a little further along then these pictures...but it was too dark to get a good picture when we finally called it a night. We got all the walls up. It's getting so close to being done!

I'll make sure to get finished pictures - and hopefully they will be up soon!

Fall Is In The Air

You know that fall is in the air when the State Fair starts. We went out to the Fair on Thursday for the rodeo. We went back on Friday. Dave, Stacey and the girls came in on Friday night, so they caught the end of the rodeo, and then we went and looked at the animals.
Emma Jane really liked the pigs.

On Saturday we all went up and tailgated before the Utah vs. Air Force game. I think the kids have just as much, if not more fun then the adults.

Even though the Utes lost we still had a fun day.

Sunday we bid Dave's family good-bye as they left to go back home, I always hate to see them leave. It's so fun to have them come. After they left we went out to the Fair to catch the final night of the rodeo. It was yet another busy yet fun week and weekend and it looks like I've got another one coming. Things just don't seem to slow down.

One other thing - if you haven't seen the movie The Ultimate Gift it is a definate must see!! For you Bisel's you better make sure you have the tissues close by.

Labor Day Weekend

As always the Labor Day Weekend was a great one. Mom and I were working on finishing up a project Friday night. As we were working on it we got a phone call from Dave saying that he had just got a six by six bull elk on the archery hunt in Colorado. We were all VERY excited. Here's a picture of Dave and Paul with the elk at about 4 in the morning when they got back to Dave's after packing it out on their back!! Way to go guys!!!

Saturday morning we went to Swiss Days. Then onto Francis for the Draft Horse Pulls at the Francis Frontier Days Celebration. Those work horses are so amazing. Sorry for all the picture of the Horse Pulls, I was a little snap happy, but I know Aunt Billie Sue will appreciate them!

The guy driving this team is 93 years old. Wow! I hope to be like him when I am that age.

As soon as the horse pulls got over we went over to the Francis Frontier Days parade. Even though it wasn't very long the kids got a load of candy.
Mom, Kylie, Laura
Brody, Amber, Bridger

Butikofer's - Tim is running for Francis Town Council, so they were in the parade.

Grandpa, Aunt Billie Sue and Grandma

Sunday after church we went and picked up Grandpa and Grandma and rode over Mirror Lake Highway, if you can believe it I didn't take any pictures!! We went to Evanston and went to the Evanston Cowboy Days Rodeo. On Monday we headed back to Francis to watch the kids participate in the kids activites. Brody and Bridger both rode sheep and got Trophy's! They were all kinds of excited about their trophy's.

After the Mutton Bustin' they had races for the kids.

After the kids got done Mom and I went and got our horses and went for a horseback ride.

We had a very good weekend. To bad all weekends aren't three day weekends, I could definately handle that!! I guess it's back to work now though! Hope you all had a fun weekend!
