YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH By: Mark Melnick With all of the commercialization of the holiday season, I thought I would use my second WHITE ON WHITE Challenge to bring the perspective back in a beautiful, creative way with this amazing Shrine piece. Difficulty: Intermediate - Advanced Time Required: 90 minutes + drying time [minimum 24 hours] Step 1. Empty half a re-inker bottle of Cotton White STAZ-On Ink into a small container or paint palette. Paint the pieces with a stipple brush so that there are streaks in the ink - Yes, I realize this is an out-of-the-box use of ink but stay with me for the fun. Allow pieces to dry overnight [take this time to create the Copper sculpture piece] Step 2. BARK MITVAH BY: Mark Melnick It’s August and those dog days of summer are here. While it’s too darn hot for the dog park, or an evening walk, there’s no reason why we can’t stop and celebrate our pets. Here is a cute invite for a Bark Mitzvah, 1 st Birthday, which can be customized for any doggone occasion you like! Difficulty: Beginner Time Required: 30 minutes STEP 1. Cut a piece of colored card stock to any desired size. Tape to your craft mat using painters or washi tape. By covering the entire piece of card stock with strips of tape, you can then decide which pieces to remove for striping in the next step. STEP 2. Remove tape where striping will occur. Take Sponge Dauber and Ink stripes onto card stock. Pigment Ink works best and will not smear once dry. STEP 3. Remove remaining tape and allow ink to dry completely. Take focal image and adhere to the card stock. SUPPLIES LIST Imagine Craft Mat htt

StencilGirl CHRISTMAS IN JULY Blog Hop Summers here in Florida hardly invoke thoughts of anything close to Winter snow, or Reindeer for that matter….so this StencilGirl Blog Hop was truly a challenge. I chose the StencilGirl Mandala Stencil #2 to create a unique snowflake design for this retro -feel Christmas Card. Utilizing ImagineCrafts Palette Knives, I spread ImagineCrafts Clear Creative Medium [mixed with Vanilla acrylic paint for color] over the festive card stock. The sentiment is embossed with a mixture of ImagineCrafts EMBOSS White and Shimmer embossing powder.
