1st Grade Devotional

The theme of the 1st Grade Devotional was
"I Can Be a Modern Day Pioneer"
Cody did so great. He had 2 parts to memorize and did perfectly!!!
Each boy dressed up in a cowboy hat and bandana,
the girls wore pioneer dresses. Everyone looked so cute!
Here he is saying his last line,
"Latter-day Saints want everyone to know and love the Savior,
to know there is a living Prophet of God on the earth today,
and to have faith and hope."

The message was so sweet!
Here are a couple of pictures of his class all together.

Cute Cowboy Cody!!!
And of course I had to take a picture with him too!!!

Love you son! You did a great job!!!

January--

The last 20 days we have all been sick.
I have really done nothing except blow my nose,
or wipe someone else's.
I'm ready for January to be over so that 2011 can start.
I have yet to even think or come up with my list of goals/resolutions.
I think I'll wait till February.
There are 11 more days of January and I'm glad that we are
finally getting back on our feet. Our boxes of kleenex are empty,
and we are healing--
I'm looking forward to February!

New Years Eve...

For New Years Eve we went to a friend/neighbors house to celebrate
and ring in the new year!!!
2010 is gone!!! A whole decade has passed!!

Steven and Luke opening their poppers!
Me and Dan!!!
For most of the night the kids were downstairs playing games.
Their favorite was the Candy Bar game!!!
Where you roll 2 dice and if you get a double then you have
to dress up in a winter coat, scarf, gloves, and hat and fast as you can
and try (with big gloves on) to open the present which inside is the
chocolate candy bar!!!

It was a lot of fun!!
Thanks Bairds for a great evening!!!

Now on to 2011 and making new goals!!!

Another tradition is to have the missionaries over for

It was just beautiful!!!
Later that night Grandma and Grandpa stayed home and watched
the kid while we all went out to a movie!!
We saw "How Do You Know?" Not the best movie.
But it sure was fun to be together.
