This inaugural concert is put together by three most celebrated local choirs: The Vocal Consort, Victoria Chorale and Victoria Junior College Choir.
The Vocal Consort -- a semi-professional chamber choir -- has been actively involved in numerous national cultural events. In addition, The Vocal Consort marks its place in the international choral scene being the only Singapore choir that was accepted into the Superior Choral Society in Europe.
Victoria Chorale is one of the Singapore’s most famous youth choirs, with an extensive repertoire, and has just concluded a successful invitational concert tour to South Korea, with a broadcasted performance at the Seoul Art Centre.
The Victoria Junior College Choir is ranked as one of the top choirs in the world, consistently achieving the ‘Gold with Honours’ awards in the biennial SYF Choral Competition, while achieving international acclaim by clinching the top awards in all the choral competitions they have participated in for the past 20 years.
A variety of contemporary choral works from around the globe will be performed in the concert, highlighting leading composers of our time. This concert will be conducted by Mr Nelson Kwei, five times winner of “Best Choral Conductor” award in prestigious international choral festivals.
