Becoming a school family

Conway goes to school! My baby is a kindergartener. It is such a monemental event they go from being in our care 24 hours 7 days a week to an independent and capable little person starting their own path.

I am so excited for him and the great experiences as well as the not so great experiences he is going to learn and grow from. It is such an amazing thing. He loved his first day. Said it was great but in true Conway fashion did not want to go into to many details. Said he met a new friend but could not remember his name, and he can't wait to go back tomorrow. I said what about next week? He said that sounded great too. He can't wait to take his lunch box and go a full day.

Elle and I are both having a reality check tonight. Oh wait we have to do it again tomorrow and next week? And then I will have to get a lunch packed too! If I try to be as kind as my mom I could be packing lunches for the next 25 years! Oh man.

Pioneer weekend

We got to go to Ramah for Pioneer day celebrations. It was Wyatt's first over night  trip and he did really well. We loved spending  time with our Lambson family and thinking about pioneers.

Britton rode in the parade with his Dad and brothers. We sat on the side  and got lots of candy. After we got some yummy snacks from the fair booths. Conway and Elle got new bracelets. My favorite was seeing some of our old college friends from Ramah home for the holiday too! Some awesome people doing awesome things with their little families.

Conway and Elle loved riding Grandpa's four wheeler and would request rides all day long.

It was a short trip but very sweet. We don't have anything else on the calendar until September now. Crazy! For our usual get out of town life style.

Last day of summer

Our last day of summer. And a special summer at that. We got a new baby and it was our last summer of no school kids. We are officially a school family know with our kindergartener Conway. I may be a complete wreck tomorrow. It is just such a monemental day. It starts his educational career for the next 20 years! It is just so awesome how can I not cry. Right? Not to mention my baby is grown no more denying it.
Elle and I made zucchini cake. She is my big helper and excited for the quality time we will get together starting soon.

Our garden has been great this year. Yummy green beans, sqaush, zucchini, peppers, first eggplant. Corn and pumpkins too! Canned 14 quarts of green beans and have loved eating everything else fresh.

Today they repaved our road. It was awesome to watch the construction trucks. We all sat on the blanket and watched. Conway was the most faithful staying from start to finish of the whole street. A fun final day at home for him

Wyatt has found his hands and is getting stronger holding up his own head. He loves to smile and Brother and Sister and we have even heard a couple of giggles here and there.

We have loved the pool and our summer days. So long until we jump in again.
