Shkool Time!

They're back at it. School is officially in and the morning went very well. Haylee had soccer last night so it was a bit rushed towards the end.........we survived and got all our "stuff" together for the big day. I told the girls that they could pick out their outfit as long as it matched. We don't do any "official" school shopping just yet as it's just tooooooo hot still. So, were they concerned about the outfit?? Nope. It was the hair this year! Haylee had to have pig tails because she is so proud that she can wear them now, and Madi had to have the sponge rollers so she was full of curls today. Very cute! I was a strong mama sending them both off..........no tears until I looked back after dropping Madi off and saw her blonde curls bouncing around the playground.....my heart dropped and tears followed. She is under someone else's care, growing so fast.. it will take a minute to digest. Isabelle went to pre-school orientation and is VERY ready. She can't wait to "play" (she doesn't know about the work :)
Well, we ended up at Subway for lunch. New kindergarteners get to pick a special place to go for lunch....yeah for me, Madi is her mother's daughter!

Summer Lovin'

I thought I'd do a little re-cap of our summer being that tomorrow is back-to-school eve for us. I have to say that I'm a little sad about it. We have had such a fun summer and it's gone by too quickly. Not once have I wished that school had already started.......it's been a blast having my girls around all day. So nice not HAVING to be somewhere and out the door by a certain time. It's great to have so many options in one day during the summer. The one word that can best describe our summer is WATER!!! And lots of it! We're not much of the homebody type, so when we're outside, we're by water. We've swam our swimming suits to shreds, played at waterparks, visited all the libraries, saw weekly "free" movies, spent lots of time in California, gone to Utah, played with cousins, rode rides at a carnival, and the list goes on. We've made lots of fun memories..........we've been blessed! So, with this I'll say good-bye to summer and hello to a very structured school year. More exciting adventures, I'm sure!

Cyndi, is that you??

Nope, it's not Cyndi Lauper....... it's Haylee showing off her amazing leggins. And yes, it's leggins, as opposed to leggings! She has been DYING for a pair since her cousin Kacee filled her in on the latest fashion trend. It's leggins under (shorter) skirts. Remember...like in the 80's? So, needless to say, she's been struttin' her 7 year old stuff since we got them yesterday. So cute! She and I had a great time ALONE at Target doing the girl thing...........shopping, and totally lucked out when the leggins were marked down to only $5!! Apparently they were originally attached to a skirt, but someone just wanted the skirt and ripped them off. So, we were happy. Just what she was looking for. I love that she is coming into her own.......has tastes and opinions, she is soooo much fun. I'm gearing up for the leg warmers to come back!!!!!! Help!

K, I think we're ready to go. I'm a little nervous and hope I don't blow the computer up.......total blogger retard, but I'll keep practicing. Thought I'd start with a sweet shot of my baby. She is growing so fast. I took more of the other girls today and I'll get them up soon. It has been a great summer.......not ready for school yet!
